    Sharing our process of making tiles from white concrete and installing them in our kitchen. We're total beginners! Sharing the good and the bad! We love the Zelliege handmade style and really wanted to try and replicate it with our own handmade tiles.
    Hope this inspires you to give your kitchen a makeover even if you're on a budget like we were. This is part two of our kitchen series. We painted out cabinets to look like wood in the last video you can check it out here - • Kitchen PAINTING FURNI...

    Wowwwwww, the tile looks amazing!!!!! I had no idea you could just make your own tile like that! It turned out incredibly beautiful and looks SO expensive! I love the color variation, it really helps give it that high-end hand made tile look. I love how it got so shiny with just the sealant, it seriously looks like ceramic tile!

      AWWWE Thank you so much! YEH I was super surprised the sealant gave it that look too. Almost looks pearlescent because it was the right amount of sheen. I was so worried about the that. Happy to hear it looks high end.

    You absolutely knocked this out of the park! They look better than zellige tiles I’ve seen because they’re slightly more uniform but still handmade/unique. Seriously love the look 😍

    Not you guys reading my mind and then making a UA-cam video haha jkjk! 🤪I was thinking of doing this like a couple months back. Was looking for some good pencil-fluted molds like the ones you have (but more round) and couldn't find anything so I gave up 😭🤣I am obsessed with the Zelige tiles, but they are SO expensive!! Love the way this project came out though... I might have to give this a shot now that I have a video to help me 😁♥

      LOL love it! HAHA def read your mind! I was doing the same a few months back. couldn't find a video for DIY tiles and thought I need to make something. What are you working on? are the fluted tiles for a bathroom or feature wall? Right yes they're definitely expensive! Glad this is helpful! These instructions would of definitely helped us if we were doing it for the first time. We made so many mistakes but happy to share that all!

    How many lbs are the full bags of cement? 50?

    Question: Were your tiles shiny straight out of the mold? At 6:01 in the video they already look smooth and shiny as you're putting them up, before the sealer was applied. . Thank you!

    • @diylilyardor3435
      @diylilyardor3435  6 місяців тому +1

      Yes they’re really shiny right out of the tile form however they need to be sealed so they don’t stain. 🥰 you can go over it with a light coat of gloss polycrylic after sealing to bring back shine
