Hi. Great videos. Thanks for taking the time to post them. I presume the new unit still has a screen with all the bike data displayed. ie tyre pressure, speed etc. And can you confirm if you can scroll in and out on that screen to show 1 to 16 items. Many thanks. Dave.
they do have a bike information screen yes although currently I'm only able to show all the data at once rather than being able to zoom in to one or two. Hopefully there will be a software update to allow that!
is this the new version that came out?
A bunch of us on a Boxer Forum would like to know who makes this new device. Is it Tom Tom or Garmin? Could you please look at the box and maybe the warranty information to tell us please? Thank You!!
Thanks for sharing. BMW realized they could replace Garmin sourcing an Android device with a GPS receiver and lock it to one app-it looks so unfinished.
Can you tell me please, is the cradle the same as the Navigator 6 cradle?
It is. It fits perfectly.
I cant get any sound with navigation any ideas
Just a couple of question from a proud GS owner. When you set up the navigator do you connect It to your bike and then your phone and afterword your helmet?
Don’t need to connect to the bike?
This works independently of the bike so all you have to do is connect your headset to this and then your phone to this. hope this helps :)
I see that you have put out a new video and it look great. I do have the old Navigator VI and true the bike with my headset and phone connected its a lottery if it work. I see that there are some that have asked you (in the new video) if you are using the app on your phone or just bluetooth to headset and phone?@@Mr12v
@@GreyBeardOnTwoWheels I have it setup just via bluetooth to both devices. I also run it with a sim card in for traffic and updates etc. I do use the app aswell as it happens because they both are connected via the cloud so if I add a route on my phone it appears on the nav unit, it saves me having to plug into my PC. Its a greta unit although still lacks some functionality of the Nav6 so I'm hoping they get some software updates done over the coming months to address those things (speed camera warnings, better GPX support etc etc)

Hi -great info vid -thanks. You referred to adding a sim? If via mirroring the CR app on my phone it will have a route file that I can select on the unit and run. Im assuming also if the maps are uploaded to the unit it will be fine save for no live traffic without the sim but nothing else lost? Cheers
Just a heads up- BMW weren’t meant to release these yet so there’s a necessary update that will be pushed soon. Also apparently these don’t fit k1600s as they’re wider than the nav6
I'm fortunate that mine is a test unit so I'm able to use it prior to the release to the public :)

In my neck of the woods (EU) they are.
They officially don't launch until 4th November I believe but there are a few people who have manged to grab on early like myself. There is a software update coming for the launch so we are hoping for improvements along the way.
