@@Gang-25j I run at lower buffer sizes in mix sessions because I work hybrid, and the channel count is much more important in my setup than the buffer size. They do have a firmware option that supports 1024 buffer now, but costs you some channnels (important for my multi-unit cascade setup).
One of the greatest songs ever, Stevie may not be the greatest drummer to live but he was THE Perfect drummer for this... the things that happen when the singer, keyboardist and drummer share a brain. There is pocket and there vulcan mind meld synchronicity. Good cover... finally, great flexability of input options in that interface.
Nicely done!!........Thank you for reviewing this range of gear. I believe it's really more beneficial to a larger number of people. The home "budget" interface segment has come a long lonnnng way!. And the plugins that come with these interfaces, you could make a record with them if you had to. So all told this thing has 14 inputs. That's plenty to record a live band, and anything else one would be needing. All of this for well under $1000. This range of gear keeps getting better and better.
Sounds pretty awesome everyone. I heard that SW first laid down the drums on this track with just the song arrangement in his head -- could you imagine?
Cool video.. So Expender on the kick. I have messed with it but always turn it off. I did not realize that was a old SSL trick but i can see why it sounds good. Who would have Thunk... Stay Safe.
Man, no one does better product reviews than you! Excellent job and thank you for the source files. One question: Can I connect 2 monitors, high pass them in the Antelope software and also connect 2 subwoofers to the line outputs for full range playback?
So I do believe Antelope Audio is based in Antelope, CA, based on the area code of their support phone number. How cool would that be? I'd like to take a factory tour.
Beautiful. Shout out to Jeff Beck on this one. It was Jeff's DRUMMING that inspired the song.....can you believe? You can find JB's version on BB&A's album.
There is a reason why Sweetwater is no longer selling Antelope audio. There is also no reason to get locked into proprietary "accelerated" plugins these days. Get an Mx MacbookPro, and your DAW will have all the plugins you need, and DSP capacity to run them.
Ive run antelope for 4 years now. I didn’t know people had a problem w the company when I bought it. I heard all the bad things. Read all the bad things. I didn’t have any issues w my interface ever. And I’ve call support a few times over the years and my experience w that vs what people have said was opposite. They always took care of me and helped me w any issue I’ve ever encountered. The only bad thing I can say is there afx bridge doesn’t work. But you can run their plugins as if it was analog wo any problems. Their plugins sounds sweet. Try the tape and the Fairchild and bae. For years it was far ahead of any other versions I’ve tried. Unfortunately today they still have those bad reviews that follow them. Again I’ve never had any bad experiences Matter of fact I have another company’s gear which no one ever talks bad about and I have nothing but problems.
@@lib747 that was many years ago and don't be surprised if they are back in Sweetwater soon enough. They make great interfaces and are now very reliable, very affordable

I'm a basic b!&*h - Scarlett 2i2.
I bought one of these Quadros a couple of weeks ago to improve on my Behringer XR18 for home studio work. It’s absolutely fantastic and a big step up
Antelope Zen Q in home setup & Audient iD44 MK1 with 2x ASP880s in recording studio
SSL12, works like a charm and the digital mixing console is a great feature.
Sounds absolutely gorgeous!!! Love to hear also the Magic from our beloved Academy Member Michael Garding, rocking it!!! Such an timeless song!!!

I’m currently running two Antelope Orion32 Gen4s, which are bridged via MADI. I’ve been super happy with the sonics, and the IO density is awesome.

@@melissabell585 hi I thought about getting one real soon, did they change the buffer size yet? That allows you to get more than 512?

Nice job, gang! Sounds good 🤘

can it run 2 pairs of studio monitors separately? if yes then Mains has to be muted and 2nd pair will be controlled in line out volume settings?

Amazing! I thought it would have been one clarinet, however it makes sense, it's not cut to a click and there's that long drum groove intro
That was fun. Thank you one and all.
Glad you enjoyed it
Well done!

Indeed! Thanks
I wonder how much more it cost to add an ADAT output! To me the benefits of full ADAT I/O should out weigh the small cost increase!

Yea it’s European. But when you call support it goes thru cali first.

Is this an upgrade from apollo twin x?
I'd say so!
Apollo Twin X is from Universal Audio
Missing Steve on Clavinet
I agree, although I do like Warren on Guitar doing that half Jeff Beck half Stevie thing
Maybe we will get Steve to add it for Academy members?
Apollo solo
Apollo twin X
Apollo 8 blackface
Apollo x16
I’m pretty much covered
