    Nice subtle touch using the orange progress bar during the ad. That's some good user experience design there Bob. Of course I enjoyed the project as well.

    Love the little orange line for the ad at the beginning. Dunno why I just kinda like the acknowledgement that this is an ad and this is kinda when it finishes.

      I Like To Make Stuff thank you so much! You are the reason I started to wood work and now I made a mini shop in my basement! My parents are asking me to build things and fix up the house! My sister wants some floating shelves and now I will make them because if the video! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

    Is the first time I see anyone built floating shelves like this. It's freaking awesome!     Great job on the shelves Bob! That is how I make my floating shelves except I also add an additional cleat in the back of the shelf for support.

    Great project. I really like this one and have a perfect spot in my basement to try this myself...that is when I finish my dining room table and night stand. Yep I'm in the middle of two projects at once.

    I like your project. A way you could have made the shelf look more like one piece is you can cut a 45° angle on both the top and bottom boards and do the same on the front piece. Makes a seamless look.

    What if there’s a gap, for example your wall isn’t perfectly straight or level and the shelf is flush to the wall in the back but there’s a gap in the front, what can be done?

    Can i use this method for a 20"D x 51"L shelf that would carry load of say 3 stereo receivers, guess aboit 40lbs? Or shoukd one use at least 2x3's with 1/2 inch pluwood
