Zoe Saldana deserves better than that and I believe that if she were awarded, it would hurt her reputation given what's transpired and how controversial the film was from the very beginning. The thing about Wicked being a Part 1 that makes it different from Dune and more like LOTR IMO, is that Wicked Parts 1 & 2 were filmed at the same time, back to back. So there really isn't that long a wait between seeing Part 2 after Part 1. So, there is little time in between for the film to fade from public consciousness, as was the case IMO for Dune by the time Part 2 came out. That same feeling was true for LOTR. Whereas with Dune, there was a 3-year break between Part 1 and Part 2. And the same will be true for Part 3, which hasn't even started filming yet. Part of what got LOTR: ROTK its Best Picture win was that all of the LOTR trilogy was filmed simultaneously. That narrative was very much part of its awards campaign and WHY the academy awarded the final part. So even if Wicked doesn't win for Part 1, I still say it'll get nominated for Part 2, because there isn't going to be that long of a break between Part 1 and Part 2, and because both parts were filmed together, at the same time. And there being only one year between each part, same as LOTR. Right now, the only thing I think could hurt its chances is just not being able to stick the landing, but we can only wait and see when it comes to that.

BLACK FACE RACIST FERNANDA TORRES
definitely an error in judgement & mistake, but not sure I'd jump to accuse her of being racist. also i was not aware of that controversy when I filmed this particular video. I also saw something crazy about Demi Moore kissing and rubbing a child on camera?! idk this awards season is more like Real Housewives reality show than awards.
Hyping "I'm Still Here" just to please and hopefully rack up more Brazilian subscribers is just pathetic on your part, man. We see what you're doing. You're losing integrity.
Way off but thanks 🙏🏼
@genlea9490 I'm not Brazilian and I loved I'm Still Here. It's got a 95% critic and 98% audience rating on RT. Tied for the highest Letterboxd rating of the year by any film (4.4) with Dune Part 2. Aparatenly it's a greatly beloved film by all.
FERNANDA TORRES ❤❤❤❤
I never watch anything movies out of Hollywood, never will again. Definitely not paying for any of them
Did we watch the same movie? Even without the controversies, Emilia Perez doesn't belong in the top 10. It's a horrible movie.
Oh I know. I hated it. But it is in the mix still so until the academy makes changes or removes it…there it is! 😵💫😵💫😵💫
Your channel is amazing and you are very humble and honest! Thank you!
I hope Fernanda Torres and I’m still here win something
Thay movie broke me ❤️🩹
