- His Excellency the Governor-General, David Hurley readout the proclamation proclaiming Charles III as the King of Australia on the Great Verandah of Parliament House. Along with indigenous and military ceremonies.
The full title of the King is as follows:
His Majesty Charles the Third, by the Grace of God King of Australia and His other Realms and Territories, Head of the Commonwealth

Full credit to the federal and state governments in the way they have handled this. I genuinely expected they would just have a private executive council meeting to satisfy the legal requiremengs and dispense with any public proclamation or ceremonial altogether.

Delete monarchy not king queen
And elect somebody based on popularity? It doesn't hurt for these elected pricks to exercise some public humility before a King, or Queen. Then there is another aspect. It seems to me that Australian is doing pretty well, compared to other so called modern republics of the world. Why change something that is working? I mean, why use ancient tribal ceremonies too?
