What an incredibly awesome beautiful voice. Miss you Chris!
So soulful! I can not get enough of Chris Cornell. I am 67 years old living in a nursing home. I listen to Chris to warm my soul and feel young and alive.
Mitchell Brown my condolencies to you
Stay up.
Mitchell Brown I would love to meet u
Mitchell brown you are the coolest 67 year old living in a nursing home. keep Chris in your soul, that will keep you alive.
Soaring Chris Cornell keeps lifting, rockin us! Blessings to you Mitchell Brown!
I am 70 year old woman who hasn’t grown any older than when I was 23 years young. I listen to Chris everyday.
He is my Angel. Miss him as the world does. He sounds purely beautiful and is in great spirits, Bless Him 🙏🏻.
As I sing with him tears rise in my eyes...mmmm, miss You Sweet Baby....your So Welcome Chris...
I am yours, You are mine, Hearts and Souls, FOREVER, ENTWINED.....MY LOVE NEVER-ENDING ❤️❤️😪
Meet me at the Eiffel Tower?
Great comment. A kindred spirit perhaps? A pickle for the knowing?
I miss Chris. Hearing this show on the internet in 2006 inspired me to go see Chris live. My life was changed forever. Saw him seventy-five times after that and every single time, I laughed, I cried, I sang, I experienced life in the way that it's supposed to be experienced. There will never be anyone else like him ever.
I listen to Chris every single day of my life. He helps me get through everyday. You were the best singer of all time! Man I wish you were still here. RIP Chris.
The fact u didn't see him for first time til 2006, so you missed Soundgarden and Audioslave n still manages to see him 75 times is beyond amazing.
Talk about getting after it and living life to the fullest, I'd say you were certainly doing that!
I've seen Chris and Eddie but never got to see Layne Staley, big bummer.
Check out Cornells take on 'One'. "U2 or Metalica?" you may ask. To that I must answer, "Yes".
5:25 cudos to you!
@@kevincoady5248 Being a soft spoken and not outgoing guy, he put up with a lot of ego from both bands members over a long period. He phrased it well saying something to the extent " Joining an existing band is difficult and a lot of raw ego gets thrown at the new lead singer. I see it as Chris brought a style and talent that he was resented for? I think that is what sped up his departure from both of those bands.
I listen to Chris Cornell just to remind myself that I'm still alive in this crazy world.
Me Tooo...black hole SUN.....crazy world friend
Exactly
Couldn't think of a better album to listen to today. RIP
Still as shocking a month later.. this recording is pure genius!
This recording is pure genius.
Chris Cornell is hands down thee
Most talented musician I've ever had the pleasure of hearing.
Constantly rockin & filling my soul. Chris, you are blessed .
Please don't ever stop.
Thank you!
Dave Miller
Dave Bishop damn right
settle down hes not even
+Dave Miller agreed, euphoria morning is the most passionate album i've heard from any band, let alone 1 guy. (and take into account that the ENTIRE album is incredible, not just 1-2 songs) ive been a fan of SG since 88. long live CC and SG :)
That's right tell it like it is. That's what Chris is doing. All day every day.
Dirk ,kball69, & M.Chico77 9s and 40s recognize.
Chillz McKillz is obviously still stuck on Boys 2 Men.
Some day your big boy ears will drop.
ur gay
This is amazing. Everyone talks about his vocals, but I can't believe how talented a guitar player he was. Got to see Soundgarden back in 2011, but that one show wasn't enough. A solo acoustic show would have been nice, but I'll never have the chance now. Out of all the musicians we've lost, this one is among the most painful. Rest in peace, Chris. You should still be here with us. Devastated.
He was an amazing drummer too he originally sung from behind the drums
Chris obviously carried a heavy load of depression he expressed through his music. Some feel his music was was dark, I being from the same generation and suffer from the same mental health issues have always understood and embraced his work.
Thank you Chris for being there to express your true feelings.
I only wish you could have found what you needed to balance your life
You leave a strong legacy of family, friends and fans
Yeah . he was wide awake
Psilocybin.
He is beyond the BLACK hole Sun now
One of the best rock vocalist of all time. RIP Chris.
Niko Dejarme yea he’s amazing, I totally agree, R.I.P. Chris
hola
He was the best rock vocalist ever recorded.
@@stefansfastpackingadventur817 he is the best ..his soul lives on
I was listening to STP unplugged on youtube on my tv this morning. And when that was done, it automatically changed to this unplugged gig of Chris. I thought to myself "man, I totally forgot how good Chris is and I should start listening to him again". Then I shit you not, a friend texted me that he died. At first I thought my friend was at the front door and he could hear me playing Chris and he was messing with me. Then I realized that he actually died. I fecking cried. What a coincidence that he was accidentally playing on my tv when I found out. So fortunate to see him play unplugged 3 years ago at the Baloise session. Rest in peace Chris. Love you forever.
Yeah, whoa I had a friend telephone on my only landline, which is usually just scammers, but I knew She knew how I may not have known, and I didn't,but all these months later, like my Mum dying suddenly I need it all to be not true.
Feel your pain
You weren't alone my friend, not 'jus because' but
Because he impacted So so many.
He was a leader of our generation , will be revered forever.
On everything i ever loved....the same thing happened to me..after years of SG on the backburner while i jammed out AIC n Mad Season and heard i am the highway and started jamming SG and audioslave 1 jam after another..the next day he had died. Crazy our stories are the same, only if we had different endings.. R.i.p
I believe you. Chris has been reaching out from the grave to anyone who is open to it. I never even realized how good he was until his death. Being a medium...I can say he is in 'Every Room," of my house some days now.
I'm 37 and I'm living in the disabled living facility and I've Loved Chris's music ever since I was like 9 or 10 I had almost all of the Soundgarden albums and I really love his solo work that I've listened to on UA-cam and his work with Audioslave rest in peace buddy
The best medicine there is stay strong
@@joewilson5635 yes definitely thanks so much :)
We’re the same age. I wish you the best. Cornell’s music will never get old. His voice is so unique. Grew up listening to all of his stuff!
There are rock stars and rock gods, this man was a prophet ...
That "Like a Stone" performance alone shows just how incredible of a musician he was. Wow is all I can say.
Yep, dude was legendary!
Every time he sings he did it with all the soul of a man trying to pass it on to you and every one who was listening..
Well said. I never saw him or any of his bands because I was trying to make it in music myself. Hearing this now really makes me realize how good he was and I feel sad I missed my chance to catch him live in concert. What a special musician with one of those voices that don't come around too often. I did enjoy what I heard on the radio occasionally but I made a huge mistake by not having all of his available music. I hate when musicians die. It is an intimate relationship between fan and band and most of my heroes are from the late 1960's and all of the 1970's. Freebird was the first song I learned how to play in 1978. I was 12. My heroes were dying right from the beginning of my interest in music. I have been enjoying that music for 44 years so when someone in music dies It is like losing a parent or a sibling. I will miss those musicians forever. It is really powerful the love we develop for our teachers of music. We can't afford to lose our musical Gods at any age but when they die before their lives have barely started it really hurts my soul. I wish I could just let it go in some normal type of way but I can't. I am still bummed about Ronnie Van Zant, Steve Gaines and His sister Cassie Gaines. And yes, the other founding members who died later and now Gary Rossington has died and I have such an empty feeling in my heart and I don't think I will ever be right with this phenomenon of losing gifted and loved musicians. It is my Black Hole Sun, and by the way, this is my first time hearing this accoustic version. It is magnificent and so was he!
A pure voice that doesn't need auto tuning is rare these days it seems. Cornell has always sounded the same in concert as on record. Awesome
Some freaky stuff
And we'll still get there
Whenever I'm feeling down I always end up listening to Chris Cornell, he has a way of making me feel better. It's so sad that he's gone because he was a true healer.
#Amen
He made a difference in so many ways you get a chance to look at what is to hard to admit i speaking for myself am so sorryfpr taking so long to sayilove you all.
I hadn't thought of it like that but you are right! Several of the musicians I like seem to fit that bill. Like a stone is like him giving advice or planting the seed for listeners.
"LIFE CHANGING"
I was waiting in line from around 10 a.m. to make sure I was "on the rail" for Chris Cornells performance in Austin at Stubbs. He was on a solo tour with a band backing him. He was playing the beautiful prolific gamut of his career.
I always used to make sure I was the first in line for all the concerts I wanted to see so I could be within spitting distance of the musicians whose music I wanted to see performed.
If I cant see the details-- a guitarists fingers hitting the fret board, hitting the chords, hitting the notes-- I am not happy. I need to be up close and personal. I wanna see the drummers face grimacing in that wondrous contortion that rock drummers seem to have. I wanna see their faces when they put out that necessary amount of energy for rock drumming while keeping the beat and keeping the time.
I was first in line. Second in line was this super jovial, super enthusiastic, bald headed middle aged breath of fresh air. We talked everything Cornell: Soundgarden, Audioslave, TOTM, All Chris' solo stuff. But something I had no clue about was Chris playing a guitar acoustically with no one but himself. This was pre- Songbook.
This super jovial, super enthusiastic, bald headed middle age fresh of breath air guy actually gave me C.D.... This was back when C.D.s were still needed and appreciated.
That C.D. was THIS performance. I listened to it OVER AND OVER.
It was something powerful and something novel to hear Chris sing without a band and without all of the much loved electric uniqueness that alot of his music has.
It was LIFE CHANGING
every time a great musician that contributed to the soundtrack of my life dies, a little part of my soul just curls up and cries
RIP to Chris Cornell. An incredible singer with a hauntingly passionate tone and delivery. Gone much too soon.
I hope and pray that like Mozart and Beethoven, people will listen to this 200 years from now and understand and appreciate his genius.
apperantly rolling stone put him 9th best singer of all time, and kurt cobain was 10th
I whish we could listen to Mozart or Beethoven but unfortunatly they never recorded.
This performance made me fell in love with Chris Cornell's music. I've heard his whole discography and all of his music really helped me out on my darkest hours. Thanks to this show I started to play the guitar, wich worked as therapy for me and after a few months Im now able to play 3 songs from this performance!!
(Altough I'm not that good guitar player neither a singer myself 😓)
I've been playing some Chris Cornell songs on the uke. Love to Chris and the people who appreciate the beauty and soulfulness that he shared and still shares with us.
RIP this unplugged session got me through a hard point in my life. I fell in love with your voice so much, and I'll cherish it every time I hear it. I hope your in a better place now. ❤
Chris Placko Its gettin me threw now
Chris cornells music also got me through hard times. Saved my life many times. I'm sorry I never got to return the favor. Breaks my heart.
Much love to you both! Keep the music close to you.

Reasons to live-a voice like this.

Chris Cornell was and is the best vocalist that has ever been!!!! Whether it was TOD,Soundgarden,Autoslave he had such a wide range in his vocals, he could really cover any artist and do their songs justice!!!! R. I. P. Chris, you're a great loss to the musical world. Peace!!!!
Still, you are the only one that puts a smile and tears on my face at the same time. Love you and miss you everyday.
That's the album that saved my relationship
Fucking built that shrine
This is my all time favorite album. Best acoustic set I've ever listened to.
I can't stop listening to him. His vocal range... Just argh
❤
The best blend.
his voice, sound, music, lyrics, bands, etc. everything and anything is golden. I can never get enough. He moves my heart and soul.....
Chris is not was and always will be my favorite musician of all time. People with paper certificates on their office walls tell me im manic depressive with ptsd. Chris's songs have enabled me to get through the tough times because it seems like his words were mine from Black hole sun, exploder, and the curse with out naming more songs. recently hearing some of his more recent solo music i can hear his sadness grow. UR STILL MY HERO CHRIS.
The only person I have never met that I cry for.
Feel the same theres one more in Bennington for me.. Love you
for me there is 2, Chris and Jeff Buckley.
@@Joolzratbag Absolutely. Those two.

@Middle Layer I wish a could meet him personally, man... He looked a great person indeed
That's it. Absolute monster
One of my favorite vocalists ever. I never knew this existed till today.
The fact that you are 79 by know means that you know what good taste in music is. Keep on rocking Ms. Scutti!!!
Severely missed. This mans music got me through so damn much I swear. Him and Chester both.
Truly said :)
It was THIS album that made me learn guitar with just the intentions of learning a few songs off of it... But then never stopped learning. Chris, wherever you are, if you're reading this, I just want to say thank you. May you rest in peace - E. L.

Nobody sings like you anymore... Say hello to heaven.
The blackhole sun has come.
Nobody sings like Cornell and no disrespect to the legend that he is, but check out ua-cam.com/video/XXY8PrlTgjY/v-deo.html to hear someone who sings a similar style. Also, here ua-cam.com/video/Yj_KKleNk-w/v-deo.html is a fantastic vocalist in a similar vein, of course each of these individuals is a great artist in their own right, no comparison, but if you like Cornell/like voices, these two guys offer some fantastic music.
wtf is heaven
As a grown man..... I'm a little reluctant to say... I wept. I grew up with soundgarden and a lot of these tracks hit home for me. So I would like to thank you for uploading this. RIP Chris Cornell. Gone too soon.
R.I.P Chris. The world will forever miss your brilliant contributions to all things music.
the recording is unbelievably good, as is Chris. Awesome. He's one of the best for sure. Seattle pride!
Its 2023 and still he is in my mind and soul
Thank you Chris Cornell for everything 🤟❤️🇳🇵
Lying on my bed and just stumbled across this, 5 seconds into doesn't remind me there's tears in my eyes. Brings me back to discovering chris' music as a teenager. I feel like I've lost a friend
I wish we could see video of this. It sounds so freaking amazingly awesome. To me, this sounds like his very best performance ever. Wow, I've got chills and goose bumps all over my body. Beautiful, perfection that God can create. All who were there, y'all were so lucky and blessed to have been there to witness it. I'm jealous.
Every word you speak I second. Amen. RIP brother.
Like a stone.... Better than the recording version. WAY better.... He's getting better like an old wine ripens...
+Armattan Quads No kidding, makes me wonder why they didn't put that version on the album.
YES!
+Armattan Quads Most amazing vocalist for me
top track also for me, but black hole sun.....
Wine doesn't ripen...that's grapes. Wine ages.
Chris Cornell, I have so much to say about you, but all I am going to say is thank you. Rest in peace man.
I stumbled on this video years ago and along with the Nirvana unplugged, it’s the reason I picked up a guitar, first strums with about a girl and like a stone is the first song I learned to play and sing. Nearly ten years in and I still enjoy learning your work. It’s gonna be that time of the year next month and I still can’t accept it, you left us too soon. Thanks for everything Chris, forever missed ❤️
Gone too soon !!
A beautiful, soulful voice.
😭😭😭i always loved soundgarden when i was young but now EVERYthing is hitting home with his songs more than ever God music is such a gift, He was such a Gift TY for saving so many souls. Angel 👼🏼
So true and real.
Since his passing I've been listening to his music..watching videos..thinking how lucky his kids are to be able to come on here when they are older and be able to see their Father when he was just a kid singing "Hands All Over" and other gems..I lost my Father when I was 32..and it's been 18 and half years..I miss him every day..I wish there were videos of my Dad that I could watch...Cry and watch of course...I feel sorry for Chris having such a horrible affliction of depression..Hard to understand how someone like him..Successful, a very loving family and a gazillion friends..and of course, I have to mention..how gorgeous he was..inside and out..But..you can't just "wish" depression away..unfortunately..I've tried..I hope you're where you wanted to be Chris...I hope you can look down on all of us that will miss you immensely!!!...Sorry I wrote a book..xoxo ~M
Depression is very powerful. Most people think you can overcome it easily. That is because they don't have it.
hope you are doing ok :)
I recently discovered Chris Cornell in the last couple of years, and I have to say, he has the most influential music and lyrics in recent days ... final tunes of wide awake are self-defining - this is one of the maddest voices of our era
The rawness and power of this man's voice! Can never be beaten! How so many people have never heard of him frightens me in 2022. One of the best song writers/vocalist we're ever have. The messages in his lyrics run deep too! Soul Power!
Probably the longest video that I've listened to from start to finish the most times, working overtime in a call center job. The guy just... Was the best.
Billie Jean?.....Wow!...what a cover!
This is a great recording.
TheNewAmericanMedia Absolutely amazing version, The Civil Wars did a pretty good cover too but nothing like Chris.
+TheNewAmericanMedia Maybe i'm the only one but i really dislike that cover. I think it's not for him.
Music is quite subjective. There really is no "wrong".
It's quite interesting how we can both like Cornell -for example- and have such dif... tastes?
That's what makes music beautiful, it speaks differently to everyone
Truly one of the greatest voices of our time. Dont know we will ever hear anyone like Chris again. R.I.P. Hope he finally finds the peace he was looking for.

Holy crap! I'm hearing this for the first time, and I'm just... blown away by this performance. RIP Chris.
this one is hard, because thinking he was fine! and He and we would all grow old together!!! listening to new music by the LEGEND Chris Cornell! Knowing i will never get to experience that voice live is truly a heart breaker. had friend named chris dukes and he got me on to tool and Soundgarden...its hard because he committed suicide on 5-10-2002...he was 20 and i was 21..... This dude's house should be constructed entirely out of Grammys.
Now the highway is all clear , and you already have "long gone " . I never mind waiting like a stone being myself in this revelation with the original fire that you lit through out the years that doesn't remind us music is dead . R.I.P chris ,much love from India ,meet you soon . brother

I saw Chris Cornell in Zürich a few years ago on tour with Soundgarden... then a couple of years later I came across him in at an airport somewhere, I just looked up and there he was... I just smiled and said something inane like "great music Chris", I don't even remember if he noticed me... and some time later he was gone... now every time I go to the airport I instinctively look around, hoping for Chris to walk by, hoping that it was all just a bad dream... RIP Chris :(
Say hi to my dad up there. I miss him. Your music still heals me. Im pretty sure dad would love you for that.

I played my guitar to this entire album in repeat for months on end in my apartment when it released. Just me singing and this on 10. It was a beautiful time, a precious, sweet experience. I had many lessons learned and Chris Cornell saw me through it. ❤ And even if I never got a thank you from my neighbors for being introduced to our beautiful, kind legend through those thin apartment walls, You're Welcome!! Thank you for every second of your music! you gave me inspiration and hope, but most of all you moved my soul, and still you do!
This recording is incredibly fantastic, thank you for putting it up!...From Redemption Song to What's So Funny About Peace, Love, and Understanding to some "floaty, weird shit" - I love you Chris! and we're gonna miss you so damned much! But it's an all-night thing!!! Forever...
God truly blessed Chris with an awesome voice....love it :)
And the universe blessed us all, a very special thanks to Robert Plant for his lyrical genius, I am truly grateful. But hmmmmm, Chris, Chris, Chris, (once again Chris) the passion in his voice is like a life force of it's own, literally, you can't help but feel his energy.
I absolutely love anything he does with any band or solo. A mountain of talent and hotness! B-)
You're so right! Chris has still got it
You're sure right about Chris!
I can't believe I posted this 3 years ago and now he's gone.... 😪
The preformance of Like A Stone is amazing. Totally beautiful. This is going on repeat.
The voice is out of this world.
RIP Chris
What a beautiful soul and artist. So glad that I was able to see him live in 2009. His music has been apart of my life for over 20 years. Bless him and his magical voice. Such a poet. Wish that Chris and Jeff Buckley could have made some songs together, I love them both and wish for eternal happiness and peace upon both of their spirits.
