The painting is lovely! Your time spent on the flamingo’s feathers really paid off. They look so real! Thank you so very much. I really appreciate all your tutorials!
Lindsay, this painting is gorgeous! So lively and happy! I feel like I could reach out and feel the soft feathers! I love the yellow details! Thank you so much! 🌺💛💕
That is beautiful! Thanks for the tips about varnishing, too. We must be on the same wavelength because yesterday I put my big hanging basket of silk geraniums on my porch and stuck 2 flamingos in it so it looks like they're nesting!
"Be as a bird perched on a frail branch that she feels bending beneath her, still she sings away all the same, knowing she has wings." Victor Hugo Lindsy absolutely beautiful.❤🐦👍😊😀
Really wish I was a bird right now. Been watching livecams of Eagles nests, Albatross, so on. They can just fly away if there's a problem. Not the babies though. It's nice to see new life growing though.
Wow that’s an amazing transformation! In the beginning there were parts that looked horrible and I would have stopped and thought I can’t do this but as you kept layering it just came to life! I can do that with graphite drawing but once you add color I get lost...I need to make time and finish your classes! My problem is I have too many interests! I was all about drawing for like 4 months while in my class at school but after that I got into junk journals and then briefly jumped back to painting and then furniture painting and then crocheting a blanket for my new nephew then making mini albums and then...I have serious crafter’s ADD!!! Why can’t I just pick one thing and do it til I master it and then move on to the next interest? As if I’ll miss out on something if I don’t do it all at once...wow where did that come from? Lol
Wow i love how this turned out! The dimension especially around the back of the head by the end was amazing! I have a bunch of acrylics and canvas but somehow I still haven't used them, but the way you quickly and easily painted in the background is inspiring me to jump in this weekend :) :) Thank youu!!! PS. I missed your starting music, it's so cheery
This is beautiful, Lindsay! I wish you would do more acrylic! I've tried to do watercolor but I have trouble with it. I probably need to concentrate on practice, practice, practice! Thanks for doing this tutorial! You are so talented in so many things!
Great painting. Please tell me you used a reference photo for the flamingo? I heard they get their pink color from eating Shrimp. More shrimp, more pink or red.
@@thefrugalcrafter thankyou. Yes, all well here and safe. Hope and Pray all are safe and well there too. We are at our mom's and locked down, so I am away from all the gorgeous supplies, but left with time and no daily basis commitments. Ha, but I have our Drawing course ))) and my husband's laptop, so started that with just few pencils HB, 2B and 8B and a kid's drawing notebook.
Wow your an amazing painter. Maybe I'll bring my paintings to decorate my new room.

Thanks for the tip about the oil varnish! I don't like how acrylic paintings can look 'plasticky".
