It's interesting to see how 4 different painters on UA-cam paint the same picture with their own styler. I really liked yours, it's the one I liked the most 😊
I don't even have acrylics and I've watched this video thrice since this morning 😅😅 your work is amazing! slightly unrelated: my best friend and I were talking about your art, and when she saw the 900 videos in your Stamping playlist, she said you had to be some kind of fairy to have that much talent. Can't say I disagree!
Oh my gosh I loved this! First time I've seen you do a painting with acrylics; very nice. And since you love lilacs, let me tell you about Lilacia Park in Lombard IL. They planted some bulbs too, just to add color to the ground, but otherwise, it is an entire park of Lilac bushes from all over the world. Beautiful! There's even a springtime festival with a Queen and her court...not my thing at all, but the park is lovely! Standing on the train platform to go into Chicago, the scent just about knocks you over! Just a little trivia for the day. 😃 Thank you for this visit to Spring!
I really loved this acrylic painting and unusual for you who loves watercolor! Lilacs are my favorite also. My husband has planted 6 varieties in our back yard ! Can" t wait until they bloom. I like to try it. Thanks so much fun.
Lindsay WOW🤪😜🥰🥰😊 So Exquisite, absolutely Breathtaking Beautiful. You relaxed me so much as I watched to painting, you do that every time. Your voice is so soothing I could watch you all day and all night as I always tell you. You brought back so many memories painting this picture. My grandmother had a walkway with lilac trees on both sides as you walk up to her front door. It would remind me of being married as a little girl, giggles🤭🤭🤭 having the trees come up and over our heads, all the way to her door🥰😊❤❤❤ and the smell oh, so romantic, heavenly, beautiful. My oldest daughter Loves lilacs also she fills a mason jar full of the lilacs that is growing around her home, I think I'm going to paint this and surprise her with a painting of them. Thank you so much Lindsay, and once again to you from me you and your family, stay safe and healthy. I'm sending love and blessings your way, until next time. Thank You so much for sharing and love ya lots. Your friend Vicki from Utah😊💜💓💜💞💜❣
Gorgeous! I really wish acrylics didn't dry so fast. I ordered the Golden Open Acrylics in titanium white and mixing white to see if it will help. TFS this tutorial. ❤
So beautiful. I can just imagine the wonderful scent. Ours won't bloom for another month or so. Thanks for another great video. I have liked watching your work with acrylics.
My favorite flower of all when it comes to scent. I have been "sitting on" some lilac photos, and now I think I understand how to paint them. Thank you ever so much! (And no, you def do not talk a mile a minute)!
I love this painting. I have a white lilac bush out my window and they're not in full bloom yet but we have a lot this year. I'm in NJ and I guess we have an earlier season here because they are gone before the end of May. Love your paintings - be well and stay safe.
I really love this painting. Enjoyed the process a lot. And Linsey, you always have such a bright and positive approach to whatever you are working with. Great!
How beautiful! I love the wood floor and the full vase of flowers...I can just imagine how good and sweet they would smell! Lilacs have just started blooming here in Southeastern Ohio! :) Thank you Lindsay! 💜💜💜
Wonderful color choices, especially within the vase! There are several areas of the piece that you could crop out (again, like the vase) and have a totally separate, abstract piece that would work on its own. This came out lovely and as always, SO appreciate your narrative to share what you're doing (ie. the highlight/light source). Thank you and hoping you are all holding up well! ~ Mark
Thank Mark, I'm doing well. I've been keeping myself busy and sane. I freak out when I am lazy. I've gotta keep working:) take care, I hope you are well too!
THIS IS SUCH A LOVELY PAINTING. MY LILACS ARE BLOOMING RIGHTNOW IN MY GARDEN UND MY FAV. SIGN OF SPRING ARE CROCUSES, HYACINTHS, AND TULIPS. TFS.....:)
Beautiful painting! I also love lilacs...sad we can’t grow them in mid/central Alabama ; I have tried many times with no success. Keep painting lilacs, please 😊
Beautiful! Can you mix a blending gel (slow dri) to my acrylic paints?? I don't have the new open acrylics. I've got Liquitex slow dri blending gel and Golden gloss Medium for acrylic fluid. Which is the better of the two?
This is awesome. I have a question and would be interested in your take on it. I'm thinking of trying to pain plein air but am concerned about the acrylics and or gauche drying while in the pallet prior to it reaching the canvas. Any thoughts??
Hi Lindsay, could you tell me if mixing ultramarine and alizarin crimson would make the right purple for this painting? My acrylics are definitely limited palette ;)
Yay, I'm # 200 likes. Hey, Lindsay, have you ever tried spraying a little water with a mister on your palate to keep paints from forming that skin? It helps keep them from drying for a little while longer. Just my tip to you.
Hello Lindsay, I love the smell of lilacs. My favorite sign of Spring is the yellow forsythia. Now a question, have you ever used the Slow-Dri blending gels for acrylics? If so, I'd love to know your opinion on them and if there was also an alternative if you can't get the other? Thank you so much. One of the reasons I subscribed to your channel was because of you saying "use what you have", that and the fact that you're the only one who makes watercolor painting make sense. You explain what does what and why it does, etc etc. Still have you and yours in my prayers every day. Take care and God bless. Sincerely Becky B from Arkansas PS. Because of your video, I now let the commercials play, but if one comes up that I find totally offensive, I will not watch it. Just letting you know, it's not personal.
Lindsay,i love the azalea flowers,so pretty and a favorite in the south.❤️🌹
Lilacs. One of my favorite flowers.
GORGEOUS !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very pretty picture. I loved your tutorial.
Love the painting. Thanks Lindsey. Bonnie🇨🇦

Your narrations are never annoying! I love lilacs as well. This came out great!

This is a beautiful painting. I am not an artist but gosh I loved watching this. Thank you for a great tutorial. Big hugs.

That is beautiful. I painted the same one a couple years ago and it makes me smile when I look at it. Wishing you many smiles~

THIS IS SUCH A LOVELY PAINTING. MY LILACS ARE BLOOMING RIGHTNOW IN MY GARDEN UND MY FAV. SIGN OF SPRING ARE CROCUSES, HYACINTHS, AND TULIPS. TFS.....:)
I enjoyed watching this.
And yeah sometimes I add highlights to correct a wonky not quite symmetrical vase
Beautiful painting! I also love lilacs...sad we can’t grow them in mid/central Alabama ; I have tried many times with no success. Keep painting lilacs, please 😊
They are my favorite! My parents have a large lilac Bush and it blooms at the end of may-beginning of june. It means summer is almost here in Maine!
Beautiful! Can you mix a blending gel (slow dri) to my acrylic paints?? I don't have the new open acrylics. I've got Liquitex slow dri blending gel and Golden gloss Medium for acrylic fluid. Which is the better of the two?
Yes you can, I'm not sure what brand is better, experiment with what you have:)
This is awesome. I have a question and would be interested in your take on it. I'm thinking of trying to pain plein air but am concerned about the acrylics and or gauche drying while in the pallet prior to it reaching the canvas. Any thoughts??
You can use either but I suggest a stay wet palette
@@thefrugalcrafter I'll give that a go. I have a small stay wet palette.
Hi Lindsay, could you tell me if mixing ultramarine and alizarin crimson would make the right purple for this painting? My acrylics are definitely limited palette ;)
That should work fine:)

I had a nanosecond of why are you painting on the glass vase, yes I'm out there. It is a great painting

Thanks Becky:) the slow dry gels are retarders do keep the paint wet longer but I dislike how they thin the paint.
A Retarder can make the paint last longer (a couple days before it starts getting gooey) also a stay wet palette.
