I know that Night-Terror isn’t on this ranking. Since he is Nightmare who unlocked the full power of Soul Edge. For me I had him on S-rank. Because him looking so monstrous, all red, him having wings incase he gets knocked out of the ring, and him having Soul Edge at it’s highest does make a perfect final battle.
I remember back in the II and III days liking nightmare, but thinking what would have been a GREAT design element was if the breastplate was cracked open, instead of "Grown over" like it is. And VI kinda delivers on that, though not quite as I'd have liked. Either way, good list.
Ah, sorry to see people were ragging on your friends. I might've disagreed with some of their opinions, but I didn't want to take stuff like that personally. I think the SC6 Cape on Nightmare is okay, but I'd like it more if it was a color that popped against the armor more. Should have been red for the default IMO.
Or just have it be way shorter so it's more of an accent then a focal point. But yeah it being red or something with to contrast his armour would have been better. As opposed to some dirty rag he found.
Just letting you know, the closer to the letter is higher on the tier list normally. The farther from the letter is lower on the tier list. Just FYI. *Edit thanks for the pin Hyper!
P2 Nightmare in SCV was Kylo Ren before Kylo Ren made His Debut. As for Soul Calibur 4 Nightmare, I’ll call Him Dark Age Nightmare. But I agree, SC2 Nightmare is my Childhood Favourite.
Siegfried's SC1 primary and Nightmare's SC2 tertiary have always been my personal favorite Siegfried designs. They're both simple, but the realistic plate armor and green pants suit him very well.
Will you do the other SC characters Also my personal faves Siegfried default look: SC5 Alt look: SC3 Nightmare Default Look: SC4 (I LIVE for the monstrous look, I get it can be too much but I STRONGLY disagree I love it) Alt Look: Tie Between SC3 (sorry I Respectfully Disagree with S2 alt being a C-tier though I will admit the claw is off-putting) & SC5 (again I like that its disgusting, thats part of what makes malfestation what it is)
I liked the more grounded designs of the older games for all characters in general. After SCIII, alot of them got too "anime" with a few exceptions. SCII Nightmare is peak. SCVI Siegfried being so bare under his armor killed the look for me. Why no chainmail or shirt? It's like the armor equivalent of wearing a kiss the cook apron and nothing else.
To be fair part of the overdesign issue stemmed from the Armour break system. Gotta have a bunch of junk on them so players notice when it's broken. And yeah, when he was showing SCVI Siegfried I just kept looking at his arms and thinking "Why doesn't he have a shirt on? Or chainmail?" Would have been such a better design.
My opinions on their outfits. SC1: Their outfits are very good. I like the gold variant of Siegfried's primary. SC2: Nightmare's primary and third outfits are great. His second one is ok. SC3: The best Siegfried secondary. Not only that, it's the best Siegfried look. His primary is very good as well. Nightmare's primary is great! It's in my opinion the best one. His secondary I can't decide. SC4: The worst Nightmare outfits. It's baffling that the devs chose his alt for SC6's character creator. They should have brought over his SC1 or SC3 armor to that game instead. Siegfried's primary isn't that good. Although his alt is ok at best. Yeah the outfits for both characters in this game pale in comparison to their SC3 versions. SC5: I like Siegfried's armor in this. A big improvement over his SC4 primary. What ruins it for me is the head though. It would have been better if they've gone with his hair from SC4. His alt is meh. Nightmare's primary looks good although the horn is a bit long. His alt is pretty cool. Although the head for it looks weird without the hood. SC6: Siegfried's outfit is great. Nightmare's is also great, but the spike chest plate ruins it.
Man lf SC7 takes place after the events of SCV l doubt they must bring back the same Nightmare from SC3 & SC4 which is Souledge will ltself lnferno when the armor is repaired & resurrected after Graf Dumas defeat by the hands of Z.W.E.l

Fitting that Siegfried's Black outfit is straight up Guts.

The demonic arm makes sense but i could never understand the demonic foot with Siegfried! costume in Soul Blade
