- I replaced the Fender Mexico Stratocaster with a pickup, wiring, fret deburring, fret polishing, replacing the inertia block (tremolo block), nut making, overall adjustment and setting.
The work I'm interested in doing this time is the wiring.
It's the best thing I've ever done in my life. But it's not the best in the world.
It's hard to solder! But I love it and I want to do more! I want to be good at this!
And the point of trouble was replacing the inertia block.
In the bridge, the screws that can be easily seen, such as the inch-standard screws for the bridge plate and the octave adjustment screws, were inch-standard screws.
However, the screws that you can't see, such as the screws that hold the inertia block to the bridge plate and the arm screws are metric...
Why! Fender Mexico!
Well, maybe it's because it's more cost effective to use inch-standard saddles for Relic products. Maybe. Maybe.
The Inertia block was a replacement for the one you brought in, so I also misunderstood that all the screws on the bridge were inch standard...
If you look closely, you'll see that the countersunk screws that hold the bridge plate and the inertia block in place have IOS dots on them...
That's why I've been showing this video for so long, because that's what I wanted you to see.
There is no point on the head of the screw on a 3" thread, is there?
This was a bit of a problem for me this time.
The pickup I replaced is a VAN ZANDT Vintage Plus pickup.
Well, it's great. There's nothing wrong with it. They sound great, in my opinion.
The pot I replaced, and the selector I changed the pot curve and the resistance of the selector to suit the owner's preference. and so on.
Front and center sound great, of course, but the rear sounds like a jerk, 500K pot. I think the
I've wired the rear to be tonal as well, so I can hold down the jacks...? I think.

ハンダを乗せる前提で作ってあるpotだからですね。普通のポットはメッキみたいのしてあるのでこうはいきませぬ。

I had a couple of remarks for your wiring: You should not breathe air on the solder joint to cool it. That's considered bad practice, as this might cause a bad solder joint. Just leave it. Twisting the wires of the pickups acts like a shielding. Though Fender didn't do it historically, that's an easy and effective way to reduce hum and interference. Considered you go all the way to do a complete rewiring anyhow, that's a must imho. Using the caps lead as a connection to the second tone pot will come closer to the benefits of point to point wiring (instead of bridging it with threaded wire) as some people believe (or know) that solid core wire will transmit better highs and transients. Allegedly one big part of the superior sound of handwired tube amps. Still neat work and really nice to watch. :)

Did you wire the 3-way switch in reverse? I find your videos to be quite relaxing. My good friend, Mike Boone, is my luthier; in fact, that is how we met - I brought my only guitar at the time (1991 Gibson SG Special), into the shop where he works (Top Gear in La Mesa, California), to have a full service setup done. It had been the first time, since I purchased my guitar back in 1991, that I had a setup up done on it. The sorcery my friend Mike Boone worked on my guitar was simply amazing. Every guitar I have purchased since then, always went to Mike Boone and Dan Alrilio Jr. at Top Gear Pro Shop. Unfortunately I have since moved from San Diego, and can no longer have Mike and Dan work on my guitars. But I have made two great friends with them. I greatly appreciate the work they, and yourself, do. It is truly an art form and a touch of sorcery/magic. It takes a very skilled and special type of person to do that work.

I do the same process to touch up the frets except for one thing. Instead of felt for the last so l step I use a leather strop. You will have never seen frets shine more.

No buzzing on any of the guitars you touch. You should hear some of the USA fenders that come out of the factory, they sound terrible. Any serious guitar player should hire you as a there guitar tech, your work is outstanding

ナットグリスは専用の物もあるのですが、これを使っていて全く問題を感じないので、これを使っています。なんかテフロンで良いっぽいですいし！
ピンセットもタミヤのです。1700円くらいしました・・・その分素晴らしいピンセットです。感動します。

Que productos recomiendas aparte de la cera?
Utilizo aceite de naranja para eliminar la suciedad y cera de abeja para hidratar.
No tengo ninguna otra recomendación por el momento.
Hoy en día no uso aceite de naranja a menos que tenga el diapasón muy sucio.

Why tone pots is a 250 and 500k?
Pot resistance is the owner's choice.
The high temperature is emphasized over a normal Strat.

ピックアップの作りのクオリティは正直評価しかねます。ましてやビンテージライクなピックアップだとビンテージに似せてる形見た目なので難しいです。
気になった部分は無かったと記憶しています。

Why 500K for the middle tone?
The 500k pot was used for the rear pot.
This is the owner's choice.
