Currently going for physical shatter build not the best by all means but i find her satisfying to shield bash enemies to the face and throw the spear across to hit the flanking enemy then blocking someone projectile or someone charging in hard😮💨👌
This was the best Candace guide I've seen so far. It's so hard get good guides for characters that players seen as underwhelming. Plis, keep up the good work buddy!
Right before she was gonna come out, I grinded for Tenacity & HoD artifacts (with ATK/Hydro/Crit) like crazy, now I find out that HP Tenacity & Emblem artifacts are the way to go and in your video, you say HP isn't worth it. I'm gonna go insane.
if you are building your candace for her to be a DPS then I do believe that ATK is better than HP on the sands but if she is your Sub DPS then it does work to go HP Hydro Crit however if on 4pc Emblem HP Weapon=ER sands ER Weapon=HP sands
Finally got around to building Candace and my build is kinda hybrid….So my luck is stupid good when it comes to getting godly substats on hp/def artifacts.She’s running triple Hp artifacts on 2 ToM and 2 EoSF with The Catch. She’s 37k Hp and her crit ratio is 52%/115% which is crazy for not having any crit weapons or artifacts, it’s just that my hp artifacts rolled mostly ER and crit.She’s c1 but I hope to get more constellations soon. She’s great with Noelle too, slap Yunjin with Candace and Noelle hits HARD. Also the only leg up Candace has on Yun Jin is that Yun Jin has a limit to her buffs while Candace doesn’t. Yes her buff isn’t as strong as Yun Jin but it doesn’t have a limit so she can surpass Yun Jin on that elemental attack buff. Candace is niche right now but I hope she gets some teammates that synergies with her a lot better. I’m enjoying her right now and I like her design and I like niche characters in general. But she brings a lot of new unusual comps to light which are pretty fun and Unique. Triple counter teams is something fun to try out and giving Ayato a 100% infusion uptime is neat.
So in a nutshell she is built like Yelan but not as dependent on 4 set emblem. HP on Candace is basically her attack power and for DPS stacking attack is a bad idea because crit stats and elemental damage very important. Can use favonius lance for ER or homa to be like aqua bow. I do have 2 homas but I will wait till I get her c1 before I decide to build her.
my gf suggested that i try out my candace as i havent played her since i pulled her, the fact that she can break ores fast sealed the deal for me, shes so fun to play

hydro is my absolute favorite element, it offers so much fun and strong reactions especially for abyss 12. even if candace is not the best hydro unit there, i will build her for the sake of fun (plus she is pretty)
Personally, I think that if you want her to be a dmg support for your DPS then HP% is a way to go because of her ascension passive, but Hydro goblet is nice for her personal danage. Currently I'm playing her with Xingqiu main dps (I don't have Ayato, yet) with YaoYao and Kuki, all of them are 4 stars that benefits from HP% and hydro-res in some way, and It was quite fun actually. Most of the damage came from Kuki's 1005 EM hyperbloom, buy anyway. Build her however you prefer.
Also I you mention briefly towards the end that she could be used to buff the elemental normal of characters “if you’re brave enough to C6 bennett”, however her hydro infusion actually overrides his pyro infusion so unfortunately that doesn’t work
Actually was planning to build Candace just to fill in another hydro unit in my team for Burgeon which is pretty similar to what you showed in your vid but I don't have Ayato so I used Xingqiu instead.
There are some other HP substat spears now, but I’m pretty sure the black tassel has the highest % value (at least in my case it does compared to a 4 star spear)

But if I want to play in the “friendship point team” she would be using fav lance, 2 tenacity and the rest is just scraps so she doesn’t die so soon 😂 I mean, she is level 40 so I have to be really careful. Anyway, nice video. One day my Candance will have the build and team that she deserves

Talking attack multipliers without taking into consideration attack speed is of little value. Candace's normals are slower than most other polearm users, which is why she has the higher multipliers.
This is the case with most characters in the game, but with Candace it's a little different especially since she can enchant with hydro. Higher multiplier on a vaporize has a bit more value given the nature of the reaction. Still relatively negligible but worth knowing imo.
I’m not sure you read her C4 properly? It gives her held skill the same cooldown as the tapped version, which can be significant as the held version generates more energy. I think you misread it and thought it makes the tapped version charge instantly?
As a matter of fact, Yoimiya's damage specifically is pretty negligible in difference in here because of how the game calculates damage. Normal attack damage buffs, charged attack damage buffs, etc are not multiplicative with one another and elemental damage, they're additive. Meaning if you have 1000k per arrow in Yoimiya with her skill giving 30% and Candace giving her 20%, Yoimiya won't receive a 600% normal attack bonus, just 50%. This also stacks with all elemental damage bonuses. Candace HP build is not a trap, as it is pretty effective on characters who instead of buffing based on a percentage, buff their attack, like Noelle, Hu Tao, Arataki Itto and Alhaitham, the problem just comes of most of the self-infusing characters buffing the damage percentage directly, making Candace's buff negligible in comparison to buffing the actual base number that gets amplified by all those buffs stacked (or in other words, using Candace is a loss of value if you don't buff stats instead of buffing a certain talent specifically)
I'm aware of how Yoimiya's normal attack DMG is calculated and actually tested this on a multitude of characters. Some who buff their own normal attacks in some way and others who don't, and the result remained the same. Investing full into Candace's buff through Hp just wasn't that big of a bump in damage regardless of who I was using. Especially when she could be built to deal DMG herself while still providing a solid buff that really wasn't that far behind the fully invested version. I think I actually had clips of 4 different characters with both the builds, but getting good looking side by side footage was way harder than I thought it was going to be lol. If I recall correctly the actual damage increase was the most significant on Yoimiya and showed the biggest bump in DMG due to how her DMG is calculated, plus the side by side was pretty close, so I ended up using that clip in the end.
If hp is a trap, do you think the new 20% hp 2pc on top of millelith is overkill? I've been using favonius weapon on her, catch is indeed taken but might just swap C4 doesn't increase tap damage. It decreases hold CD to equal tap CD. Edit nilou Candace is not a trap if your goal is blooming. Candace can block bloom damage, infuse yaoyao etc
So uh... would you happen to have build recommendations for somebody who cares so much about Fashion Impact that they refuse to let Candace part from her Staff of the Scarlet Sands which has a passive from which she receives zero benefits? Asking for a friend ;>_>
Staff of Scarlet Sands isn't too bad. I'd say since it pretty much covers your need for crit rate you can focus more on crit dmg subs and for main stats go for something like HP/hydro/hp or crit dmg. Or you could go with something like ER/Hydro/HP to get the burst consistently. That what I'd probably go for.
I just joined Genshin like a month ago and I have little ideas on how things work. For me how I just made my Candace is she is main fighter. She’s at level 44 and when I hold on shield attack she does 2000 damage. Now that I just got Layla both of them are insane together. In my opinion sense I have like no one lmao.
Let's be real, does the burst do that much damage that it's worth investing into it? (from what I understand the only part of it that counts as burst damage is the Hydro splash)
Yeah the infusion part kind of confuses me. Like does it only work well with characters that do their elemental damage in waves? Ex. I remember Xingqiu and Chongyun working well together, the swords doing the hydro to activate freeze. But Xing's actual weapon is not infused. I'm wondering about a Burgeon team of Alhaitham, Candace, Xingqiu and Thoma. Anyone know if annoying overrides would happen there? I don't have Alhaitham ATM and wondering if the infusion would screw up his or Thoma's abilities.
