Did yall know, when you use ur ult near rocks, items etc, her ult gets cancelled. So if there is a box of crates in a Fatui camp and u try to defeat those Fatui u can’t even do that as her ult will get cancelled 😭
It’s killing me so badly that Moga is Kazuha bursting in the rotation and not letting dehya actually vape, you would usually do a tap E instead and also use Mona’s E after her burst
I think the reason as to why she feels so underwhelming is because even though her strong point is to be a defensive unit she fails to even do that because her resistance to interruption is not very good. For example in a burn melt ganyu team with Dayha as a 4th slot, what she provides when it comes to defense, in my opinion isnt enough to justify other things she brings in that team like instructor 4 peice, pyro reresonance etc. At that point you might as well go for Zhongli even if he might mess up reactions because using deyha will make you get hit which is a massive dps loss for ganyu.
The difference is you can get Deyha a lot easier than Zhongli since she will be on standard so she is a more f2p friendly option and she applies pyro in that scenario + pyro resonance
@@ladyliz0862 I agree on the point of Dehya being POTENTIALLY easier to obtain even though it doesn't have to be the case for everyone - I've been playing since day 1 and I don't have Qiqi or Mona so... yeah, that's that. And how is she more F2P friendly than Zhongli exactly? Zhongli can go with 0 ER and just full HP build with a 3* weapon and defend you against lvl 20 or lvl 90 enemies with his shield having 100% uptime
Kokomi doesn't prevent damage though, she just heals it, which is useless if a Kenki one shots you - and considering he has Hu Tao on the team, who's usually on low health, having Dehya take any hits is preferable.
@@peterbabicki8252 I get that, it's just that you can't really say in the situation that Dehya was the sole reason everyone alive when there was Kokomi to give Moga heals. If he wanted to properly showcase Dehya Moga probably should've had her be the only defensive unit.
@@dr.stabbinfaith8090 Yeah, Kokomi did most of the work, but I don't think Dehya was made to replace a healer, or even a shielder. She seems to be a middle ground, for situations where you have healing, but also require some damage mitigation for weaker characters against strong attacks.

XQ can do what she does with way more utility, Diona can do what she does without your character taking any damage and has a heal for backup, Zhongli has the strongest shield and does more than she does. Why would I pick Dehya who can only take some damage, has a fcked up burst thats easily cancelled, and has lower damage output over some of the more easily obtainable 4 stars and some other 5 stars that does what she does but better? Literally the only reason would be cause she looks cool because her trying to be something between a healer or shielder doesnt work for me personally. Hey Moga, I just wanted to point out in your showcase comparing c0 and c1 damage there is a pretty huge oversight that might cause some people to think c1 solves Dehya's damage issues. In the showcase you have Dehya's signature weapon equipped, at 6:48 during the c0 test you proc'd a portion of the weapons passive by hitting an enemy with a skill way before you began your rotation and never recast before bursting which meant you lost out on 20% bonus atk%, the other 20% atk was triggered when kazuha took a hit from Masanori. While in the c1 showcase at 8:19 you begin with her skill and immediately continued the rotation where you get hit by Masanori while casting Kazuha burst allowing Dehya to gain the full 40% atk buff from Beacon making her burst deal 42k per hit. I feel like this might persuade some players to use more wishes or even spend to get her c1 or sig weapon and that doesnt sit right with me.
Yeah a damage showcase is a lot better if you use 4 star weapons because everyone knows weapon banner is a scam and many don't have the funds to get her weapon when shes so mid. For waifu players getting only her is more than enough for many people.

I really love how Moga put Dehya in a team with Kokomi, Yelean and Hu Tao for abyss 12, the three of the most hard-carry units in the game 💀 you just know that team would've literally done just as well if Dehya's slot was instead filled in by lvl 20 Amber for the pyro res. Hell, it'd probably work just as well if the slot was empty as well Edit: Just got to the part where he's impressed by the fact that nobody died 😂🤣 DUDE!!! YOU HAVE KOKOMI ON YOUR TEAM!!!! Dude... Kokomi kept you alive, not Dehya. This just showed me that Kokomi is a great healer. Also, I would love to see how her defensive support stacks up to others and not Zhongli. Zhongli feels like a cop out because you can always say Zhongli is busted, so of course, Dehya is worse.
Yeah, Kokomi does great healing, but to be fair to Dehya, those Kenki can one shot party members, so her damage mitigation probably helped out too, to stop Hu getting one shot before she could be healed.
My question is why didn't he go back to the Vape team to showcase her in Abyss.. yet brings Yelan Hu tao and kokomi... Like I'm sure he knows Yelan is useless with Dehya and why hu tao with Dehya... Like why?...
I've been using her as my last slot in a Hu Tao double hydro team and she works great since that team has really high HP and her damage mitigation is more than enough to aid in survivability. Only ult when your Hu Tao E runs out tho and you get that crit bonus for the duration!
@@bang-naim but wouldnt it just be better to use a shielder like thoma and zhongli instead? Cus the shield follows your active character and completely negates/absorb damage with 100% uptime. With dehya you still get damaged, restricted in a certain area, and it has a bad uptime

@@jayvaldez9984 thoma might steal vapes, that's why tankfei is pref... was prefer.. tankfei is better than thoma in hutao team. lol ^^' zhongli could crystallize and so remove the application and ruin some vapes aswell. zhongli+albedo was changed to double hydro when yelan came out as bis. i don't really know if dehya is an upgrade from tankfei, i didn't check with hutao mains since i don't really care, i don't use her :'3 all of this info was just casually read here and there when i was looking for something else :P

@@applyinggaming9529 Yeah is ok, since XQ covers the fact that you only have infinite reduction to interruption for 9 sec. The normal E interruption of Dehya + XQ swords is enough to be able to tank most hits without getting push (that's why in the official live stream used XQ swords in her interruption showcase LMAO)
Moga not sure if you noticed but her C1 adds 20% HP as well. That's where her 50k hp came from. Also with Dehya if you skill, burst, skill you can keep her field up the whole time.
For electro with Dehya, Kuki Shinobu is great with her. A full EM Shinobu can still do decent damage with Overload even during Dehya Burst. That also provides the team with a healer on top of all the damage mitigation. Even while overloading it's not hard to stick to things with Dehya's Burst so you end up doing a lot of juggling. I am having a lot of fun with Nilou, Yelan, Dehya and Shinobu. All of them benefit from double Hydro bonus HP. I can on-field with Nilou's sword dance combo with Yelan Burst, Dehya's skill and Shinobu's skill. The ridiculous amount of numbers popping up from electro-charged, vaporize and overload are why I call it my Soup Squad. Full EM Shinobu will still deal respectable damage. It can also be played reverse with Dehya on-field with her Burst along with Nilou's aura for vape and Shinobu for Overload. It's pretty entertaining.

moga turning those dendro chunks into pyro broke my soul. they are still quite hard to get considering there are only 2 overworld bosses dropping those, and having 2 dendro characters next patch is gonna be annoying to raise😹😟

nice venti showcase :D i really liked this video, thanks for the Dehya showcase! she has replaced zhongli on my team, which, i thought was impossible but has made playing the overworld game pretty fun. I recommend an overload burgeon team with Dehya, Nahida, Barbara and Shinobu....lots of numbers. Unfortunately...I'm now forever tempted to get cons for a standard banner character, which, tends to be painful and I already main Kaeya lol.

She'd be a lot better if people view her as Pyro Kuki Shinobu, as in her job is to apply Pyro to enable (transformative) reactions NOT deal direct damage, and as a side effect she also keeps your team alive So you'd want to build her in burn, burgeon or even overload teams, or have her apply Pyro for vape and freeze, so Nahida, Ayaka, Ayato or Childe could be good with her for example
The only problem with using her as a reaction enabler is just that her skill applies pyro really slow, in 2.5 second intervalls which is quite slow compared to e.g. Thoma who applies pyro every second :/ I really wish they would have made her pyro application with her E hit in quicker intervalls so she would be really good for reactions 😭
i have Hp substats but i focus more on attack and crit ratios as they seem to be the highest drivers with her power as a dps. HP helps her being a tank tho for the team
Hopefully she turns great because I just did my first ever 10 pull on my account after spending $20 (I am AR 9) and I got Dehya and Qiqi in the same 10 pull.

Everybody saying that her main role is being a defensive unit and the damage skills are a bonus. But from the design perspective it seems completely opposite even tho her numbers are small. Like that defensivenes is neither existent nor useful.
I don't understand defending Dehya by saying she is a support with defensive capabilities when you are showcasing her as a DPS first, and then doing an abyss run with Kokomi. I don't think such a test functions when you want to see if Dehya's fits as a Zhongli replacement, since normally people are not going to play Zhongli and Kokomi on the same team. At least you did not use Xingqiu, because then you would made Dehya's completely redundant, since he already offers a better resistance to interruption than her, while also giving some healing and all the other things that make Xingqiu so broken. Of course you are free to play as you wish, and make videos as you like, I just don't get how is this a showcase of Dehya's capabilities. Maybe it's just me being too cynical, or simply it's a case in which I just don't get the point of the video. In any case I appreciate your work.

Just wanna point out, I would suggest you still focus alot of Atk more than Hp, mostly because her Hp scaling is shit, you would think with her Hp ascension stat that she would be a Pyro Yelan, fully Hp scaling character, but yeh, no, its like Zhongli level or Ayato level Hp to dmg conversion. And Emblem is still better though for her dmg. More ER from 2p, and you definitely just wanna build alot of ER on her, may even want an ER sands, not really, but thats only if you reallu dont have any ER rolls on your artifacts. But yeh, all in all, good video, all good points you made, and yeh, wish she wasnt dunked on hoyoverse just to test how much they can get away with making characters shit, how much the Dehya stans would praise Hoyo for this shit EDIT: Oh i almost forgot, she has a really unique synergy with Mona actually, She can help Dehya vape all her hits well, with ICD ofc, but still. Mona showing up for the Dehya summons was planned, it is fate as it was fortold
my brother refused to not pull for Dehya and he had to spend everything he had to get base her. I somehow convinced him to go for C1 and he did a SINGLE TEN PULL. five star right away and he won 50/50. thank you Moga for this video because it's how I convinced him lmao. (I pray he gets a C6 before the end of the year now from losing 50/50's cause I think he would enjoy it lmao.)
I'm aiming for C1 also. Hopefully I win my 50/50. Interesting that you thought 12-2 was the hardest. I actually think that was the easiest for me, 12-1 was needlessly hard but only because I was unaware of the electro infusion and refused to restart and pick a new team
@@wafaay7182 Actually yes! I saved up about 60 wishes and was able to get 1 dehya, and her weapon, then got her 1st constellation just a couple nights ago while trying to get my last bennet constellation (still going for him...) Let's just say I consider myself pretty dang lucky on this banner.
Amazing content. Love it. With enough dedication and commitment Deyha could be good. But for your next video, could you revisit Klee? I think that she is is heavily underrated. Even if you do have to Charge Cancel for faster attack casting. For the team I would recommend: Klee, Yelan, Kazuha, and Zhongli
Looking at the comment section in this video, people are REALLY hating on Dehya's kit just because "ShE's NoT DoInG hU tAo DaMaGe" or something like that. There are even people that commented like they haven't watched the entire video and just wants to join the hate bandwagon. Moga was actually ENJOYING Dehya throughout the video. Meanwhile, some comments are convinced that he's "high on copium" or something 🙄. I'm not saying you can't criticize Dehya's kit or anything, but a character not doing big damage doesn't equal bad kit, and it doesn't justify attempting to ruin someone else's enjoyment of that character. Also, unpopular opinion: I see Dehya as more of a defender than a fighter, so her kit makes sense to me.
I also think Dehya is more of a defender too. To me, she seems like the textbook definition of the “jack of all trades, master of none” saying. I’d argue that she’s not all that bad, but where she supposedly “shines” other characters are way better to use than her.
I've been waiting for Dehya since Sumeru launched. I was bummed about how 'lackluster' her kit is. Despite that, I rolled for C6. My Dehya isn't fully built up yet since I am very behind on materials. She is currently lv80/80 waiting for the final uncap. Her talents are lv6. She has ZERO energy problems at C6. You burst, do a team rotation and she is ready to burst again. Good. Her damage is a little low right now because I don't use the Bennet or Mona or Kazuha combos, and her artifacts are currently trash. But even still, she is doing way better than I was expecting. Can't wait to properly have her finished.
The problem with her as a defensive support is you still need a healer on top of her. She just lowers damage taken, not prevents/heals it. Why use her plus Kokomi when I could just use Kokomi by herself? Also her interrupt-resist is only 9 seconds with a long cooldown

The Abyss part was just a Hutao showcase he didn't even use hydro for Dehyas burst to do more than 14k a hit and says its bad, allthough before that he did arround 40k to massanori with some buffs active
I wonder why people insist to make her dmg dealer for 'vape'. If you saw her dmg is awful, try to switch into transformative reaction like burgeon, overload etc.
Your rotation is messed up for carry Deahya. I can loop rotations very smoothly using 4pc emblem at 180% ish ER in Dehya - Kazuha - Bennet - Mona. You want to do the following: Dehya E for energy Bennet E>Q Kazuha E Mona E>Q>E if you use sac frags Dehya Q and go to town This should vape at least two hits. Don't worry about Benny's ult ending, Dehya only stays about 5 sec on field anyways, you can do the whole rotation in 6 sec easily. Another decent team is Dehya - Anemo - Rosaria - Mona/Kaeya but this is a bit harder to do. You need to double swirl for max damage, and this involves some convoluted combos (since you want your Kazuha to have Cryo or Hydro ult). Surprisingly, I kinda like Nilou with her. Dehya - Anemo - Flex - Nilou is pretty fun, but I admit this is only viable for me because both Dehya and Nilou are C1 with R1 5* weapons (Signature and Jade Cutter). I tend to slot in Kazuha and Bennet for max damage, but Venti and Sucrose are great, and so is Mona. You can even slot Kokomi if you want to be confy, but I don't tend to die with Dehya in since she's taking most of the damage and self healing.
well, let's be fair: I love yoi (mine's double crowned) but she's not that strong, and pretty much nothing changed that fact. theory crafters have had the same opinion about her pretty much from the start: decent single target pyro dps, inferior to hu tao, works. with dehya there really isn't much that can make her better - her kit is just bad. maybe a broken hydro support from fontaine? and even then that has a chance of backfiring and making hu tao/yoi/xiangling even stronger, so yeah.... I don't see our girl dehya becoming good all of a sudden. for now even diluc is better than she is.
the difference here is: Yoimiya still works the same as hu tao, only single target focused (hence they called her worse hu tao). *yoimiya owner here triple crowned* Dehya on the other hand doesn't have a good, or worse, at least a working gimmick that could've made her functional.
No, she wont. People that compare Dehya with Kazuha, Kokomi or Yoimiya aren't aware of how weak and bad Dehya is. None of those examples were weak, all fuction perfectly and got stronger with sets or units but they weren't WEAK at all. Dehya is weak already, her base dmg and defensive utility is bad, she lacks the uptime in her defensive buffs to make her decent and she lacks the multipliers to be a decent dps. That's why the only good comparasion is 1.1 Zhognli, he was so weak and people was so mad about it that they buffed him 2 patches later, pre buff Zhongli was weaker shielder than Diona and didn't give any buffs to dmg.
Been playing her since she dropped, and I've come to the opposite conclusion about her role. Her defense and interruption resistance just isn't reliable enough with their uptime, and neither are her coordinated attacks. I think she's actually supposed to be a burst DPS psuedo-hypercarry who takes a bit of pressure off the rest of the team. The short durations on her skill give your other teammates a little time to set up and generate energy, then you cycle through bursts to invuln through things until Dehya comes out and starts punching. Problem is that her damage is so underwhelming that she requires dedicated supports buffing her to even get close to the level of her 5-star peers. In all her roles, she's just not particularly good, but burst DPS is the role that makes the most sense to me. She's just way undertuned.
To Vaporize Dehya Burst: 1) Use Benny burst, 2) Use Kazuha skill, swap off 3) drop Mona skill, burst, swap 4) Dehya burst, remember to spam skill for it to come out faster

I believe anyone would be, and saying that he won't do a Raised and God Mode vid for that character because of it would likely cause the angry mob to start yelling
The issue with Dehya as many people point is that her defence and offence are weak. Offensive is because the very very low multipliers and very high energy requirements. For defence, the issue is uptime you only have interrupt resistance for 9 out of the 12 sec duration of her E, and E have a 20 sec cd wich mean only a 60% uptime on her defence split dmg taken... If you had 100% E uptime and the resistance to interruption was something like 90% of the duration of E then she will be a decent defensive unit. Also she can get cancel out of her E so you are stuck without E for 20 sec... She is very similar to pre buff Zhongli that's how weak she is even as a defensive option.
Her 1st Passive should've been built in her Skill or Burst like Raiden Shogun's Resolve stacks. Her C1 should've been her 2nd passive similar to Zhongli and Thoma's 2nd Passive with HP Scaling add to damage.
I strongly disagree, unless you enjoy the gameplay she will be tilting to use even in overworld. Without very very good artifacts and weapons she will struggle in all content in the game. Is I think the only 5* with Alloy that I won't recommend to a new player or casual player without build characters.
So a pattern that I've noticed in Genshin is that the kit and talents are reflective of the character's personality and their story. Clear lines can be drawn between character traits and skills, and the devs tend to stick to this principle even at the expense of the meta (Xinyan doing physical damage as a pyro unit is in line with her theme of subverting expectations for instance). Dehya is a mercenary, who focuses on bodyguard work and is the kind of person who will secretly sell her claymore to help a cause she believes in. Thus her kit is designed around her providing added support and rounding out a party as a support-dps/damage reducer/reaction enabler. As a mercenary, she's a hired sword; and as a hired sword, she doesn't lead the charge, she just kinda helps where she can. Seriously, once your start looking at the talents as extensions of the personal story/lore, every single kit starts making so much more sense. Dehya adds survivability by being a good bodyguard and putting her life on the line hence her HP scaling.anyone who scales off HP in any capacity has a track record of putting their health/safety second btw... She increases resistance to interruption which is nice for the squishies but is especially great for the chibis and her trailer showed us she loves kids. Yaoyao driving a burgeon team with Dehya is actually a lot of fun. Finally, she has decent pyro application because she's fiery, duh. Her kit also makes more sense once you realize the pyro damage her skill provides is just meant to be auxiliary. Again she's not gonna be the main star because she's aiming to get the "most assists". Mechanically, she was given a version of Albedo's skill and Fischl's Burst so that she could support from behind the scenes and reposition herself while applying pyro to everything. Basically, she helps when you're not looking and you can use her to punch your way out of a tough spot if you find yourself cornered... kind of like a bodyguard, say whaaaaaatttt!? "Oh, her burst gets canceled if you jump" So? You can cancel Fischl's burst too. That only increases your options for gameplay. And all of this before you start fiddling with artifact sets and the various party buffs you can have her trigger. She's not bad so much as she doesn't have an obvious role to fill, and the reason for that is because as a mercenary her role is always changing. Feature, not a bug. This means you can build her in a lot of different ways and tailor the kind of support you want her to be. To cap it all off she literally asks you what her job is when she joins the party lol.
Ok, I get your point and I really am glad you found this out, it's truly beautiful But There are parts of Dehya's kit that are bad design, with no lore implication or anything For example, as you mentioned, her burst being cancelled when you jump You said it provides more options, but it absolutely does not. It just taxes any mobile player for mistapping, or any pc player for pressing the space bar one too many times once they got frozen It also adds nothing useful, and swapping out can also cancel her burst if you'd wanna do that for...some reason You also mentioned Fischl's burst and I honestly wish the two were simmilar, but there are two key differences that make Dehya's burst suck and fischl's not suck 1. Dehya's burst only recasts her skill if it was already active If fischl's oz ran out, you can burst and quickly swap out, and there he is again! If Dehya's skill ran out you have to wait. For the entire cooldown. 2. Dehya's burst *doesn't reset her skill's duration* If you read her burst description carefully, her burst recasts her skill with whatever duration it already had, so using it to refresh her skill simply. Doesn't. Work. Besides that, there's the fact that her burst doesn't trigger Xingqiu's, Yelan's, Beidou's, or Thoma's bursts, nor does it gain any advantage from normal attack buffs. This isn't atrocious necessairly, but it greatly removes a lot of her options and makes playing her a lot less fun None of the above have any lore implications, they are simply bad design I wish there was any artifact set or something that could help Dehya, but all artifacts can do is up her dmg or maybe slightly lessen her issues. The only thing that can make Dehya actually good is a total rework of her burst from hoyoverse, who have made continuous conscious choices that led to her being bad Sorry
The difference is Fischl burst is only one 20k hit while jump canceling Dehya's burst is 20-90% of your total dps. Not to mention mobile players which makes up the majority of the community always mistakenly press the jump button due to horrible design. Xingqiu who is a self proclaimed defender of justice has better defense than her. One of Morax's titles is a warrior god and yet his kit is all about shielding. Layla is a random ass student who somehow got an visison and still does her defensive utilities better than her. Do I even have to mention Diona who is an bartender and she heals and shields. What the hell does that has to do with anything in her story besides hating alcohol. These characters all have better Defensive capabilities than the character in lore that is more qualified than any of them. Let's not even talk about her dps. How the heck does a random ass Funeral director does more damage than one of the strongest mercs in Teyvat and the man who single handedly forced the harginbers to try to kill him themselves because of how much of a mess he made in snezhnaya. One Hu Tao charged attack does more damage than the entirety of Dehya's kit combined. C1 makes Dehya below average at best. She's the worst character in the game by a very large margin, it's so crappy for Hoyo to shaft such a lovable character like this

It’s killing me so badly that Moga is Kazuha bursting in the rotation and not letting dehya actually vape, you would usually do a tap E instead and also use Mona’s E after her burst
He has C2 Kazuha I think so that's probably why

I think the reason as to why she feels so underwhelming is because even though her strong point is to be a defensive unit she fails to even do that because her resistance to interruption is not very good. For example in a burn melt ganyu team with Dayha as a 4th slot, what she provides when it comes to defense, in my opinion isnt enough to justify other things she brings in that team like instructor 4 peice, pyro reresonance etc. At that point you might as well go for Zhongli even if he might mess up reactions because using deyha will make you get hit which is a massive dps loss for ganyu.
The difference is you can get Deyha a lot easier than Zhongli since she will be on standard so she is a more f2p friendly option and she applies pyro in that scenario + pyro resonance
Her skill
1- doesnt generate enough energy
2- doesnt do any dmg
3- bad pyro application
4- bad uptime
5- isnt really good defensive option

And how is she more F2P friendly than Zhongli exactly? Zhongli can go with 0 ER and just full HP build with a 3* weapon and defend you against lvl 20 or lvl 90 enemies with his shield having 100% uptime
Her canceling burst by jumping isn't a bug, it's a feature since her burst animation is such a dps loss.

Kokomi doesn't prevent damage though, she just heals it, which is useless if a Kenki one shots you - and considering he has Hu Tao on the team, who's usually on low health, having Dehya take any hits is preferable.

XQ can do what she does with way more utility, Diona can do what she does without your character taking any damage and has a heal for backup, Zhongli has the strongest shield and does more than she does.
Why would I pick Dehya who can only take some damage, has a fcked up burst thats easily cancelled, and has lower damage output over some of the more easily obtainable 4 stars and some other 5 stars that does what she does but better?

Hey Moga, I just wanted to point out in your showcase comparing c0 and c1 damage there is a pretty huge oversight that might cause some people to think c1 solves Dehya's damage issues. In the showcase you have Dehya's signature weapon equipped, at 6:48 during the c0 test you proc'd a portion of the weapons passive by hitting an enemy with a skill way before you began your rotation and never recast before bursting which meant you lost out on 20% bonus atk%, the other 20% atk was triggered when kazuha took a hit from Masanori. While in the c1 showcase at 8:19 you begin with her skill and immediately continued the rotation where you get hit by Masanori while casting Kazuha burst allowing Dehya to gain the full 40% atk buff from Beacon making her burst deal 42k per hit. I feel like this might persuade some players to use more wishes or even spend to get her c1 or sig weapon and that doesnt sit right with me.
and also hp sands is less damage than atk sands at c0
Yeah a damage showcase is a lot better if you use 4 star weapons because everyone knows weapon banner is a scam and many don't have the funds to get her weapon when shes so mid. For waifu players getting only her is more than enough for many people.

I really love how Moga put Dehya in a team with Kokomi, Yelean and Hu Tao for abyss 12, the three of the most hard-carry units in the game 💀 you just know that team would've literally done just as well if Dehya's slot was instead filled in by lvl 20 Amber for the pyro res. at c1 she does passable damage at best. I say that as someone with c1, a pretty decent emblem set and her weapon.

Dude... Kokomi kept you alive, not Dehya. This just showed me that Kokomi is a great healer. Also, I would love to see how her defensive support stacks up to others and not Zhongli. Zhongli feels like a cop out because you can always say Zhongli is busted, so of course, Dehya is worse.
Kokomi does better at keeping the team alive than Dehya and still also out damages her if you build her with a good clam set.
Yeah, Kokomi does great healing, but to be fair to Dehya, those Kenki can one shot party members, so her damage mitigation probably helped out too, to stop Hu getting one shot before she could be healed.

I've been using her as my last slot in a Hu Tao double hydro team and she works great since that team has really high HP and her damage mitigation is more than enough to aid in survivability. Only ult when your Hu Tao E runs out tho and you get that crit bonus for the duration!

zhongli+albedo was changed to double hydro when yelan came out as bis. i don't really know if dehya is an upgrade from tankfei, i didn't check with hutao mains since i don't really care, i don't use her :'3 all of this info was just casually read here and there when i was looking for something else :P
I would say you would even be able to run funerational with xiangling as a last slot instead of dehya as you are clearly skilled enough for that

@@applyinggaming9529 Yeah is ok, since XQ covers the fact that you only have infinite reduction to interruption for 9 sec. The normal E interruption of Dehya + XQ swords is enough to be able to tank most hits without getting push (that's why in the official live stream used XQ swords in her interruption showcase LMAO)
Moga not sure if you noticed but her C1 adds 20% HP as well. That's where her 50k hp came from. Also with Dehya if you skill, burst, skill you can keep her field up the whole time.
For electro with Dehya, Kuki Shinobu is great with her. A full EM Shinobu can still do decent damage with Overload even during Dehya Burst. That also provides the team with a healer on top of all the damage mitigation. Even while overloading it's not hard to stick to things with Dehya's Burst so you end up doing a lot of juggling.
I am having a lot of fun with Nilou, Yelan, Dehya and Shinobu. All of them benefit from double Hydro bonus HP. I can on-field with Nilou's sword dance combo with Yelan Burst, Dehya's skill and Shinobu's skill. The ridiculous amount of numbers popping up from electro-charged, vaporize and overload are why I call it my Soup Squad. Full EM Shinobu will still deal respectable damage. It can also be played reverse with Dehya on-field with her Burst along with Nilou's aura for vape and Shinobu for Overload. It's pretty entertaining.

I recommend an overload burgeon team with Dehya, Nahida, Barbara and Shinobu....lots of numbers. Unfortunately...I'm now forever tempted to get cons for a standard banner character, which, tends to be painful and I already main Kaeya lol.

He was stressing the triple Kenki fight. While using Kokomi with Dehya. Which just meant the real stars of the fight was kokomi,, yelan, and hu Tao.
She'd be a lot better if people view her as Pyro Kuki Shinobu, as in her job is to apply Pyro to enable (transformative) reactions NOT deal direct damage, and as a side effect she also keeps your team alive
So you'd want to build her in burn, burgeon or even overload teams, or have her apply Pyro for vape and freeze, so Nahida, Ayaka, Ayato or Childe could be good with her for example
The only problem with using her as a reaction enabler is just that her skill applies pyro really slow, in 2.5 second intervalls which is quite slow compared to e.g. Thoma who applies pyro every second :/ I really wish they would have made her pyro application with her E hit in quicker intervalls so she would be really good for reactions 😭

i have Hp substats but i focus more on attack and crit ratios as they seem to be the highest drivers with her power as a dps. HP helps her being a tank tho for the team
if you want to vaporize with dehya, nilou's E actually works really well!
Hopefully she turns great because I just did my first ever 10 pull on my account after spending $20 (I am AR 9) and I got Dehya and Qiqi in the same 10 pull.

Everybody saying that her main role is being a defensive unit and the damage skills are a bonus. But from the design perspective it seems completely opposite even tho her numbers are small. Like that defensivenes is neither existent nor useful.
I don't understand defending Dehya by saying she is a support with defensive capabilities when you are showcasing her as a DPS first, and then doing an abyss run with Kokomi. I don't think such a test functions when you want to see if Dehya's fits as a Zhongli replacement, since normally people are not going to play Zhongli and Kokomi on the same team.
At least you did not use Xingqiu, because then you would made Dehya's completely redundant, since he already offers a better resistance to interruption than her, while also giving some healing and all the other things that make Xingqiu so broken.
Of course you are free to play as you wish, and make videos as you like, I just don't get how is this a showcase of Dehya's capabilities. Maybe it's just me being too cynical, or simply it's a case in which I just don't get the point of the video. In any case I appreciate your work.

Just wanna point out, I would suggest you still focus alot of Atk more than Hp, mostly because her Hp scaling is shit, you would think with her Hp ascension stat that she would be a Pyro Yelan, fully Hp scaling character, but yeh, no, its like Zhongli level or Ayato level Hp to dmg conversion. And Emblem is still better though for her dmg. More ER from 2p, and you definitely just wanna build alot of ER on her, may even want an ER sands, not really, but thats only if you reallu dont have any ER rolls on your artifacts.
But yeh, all in all, good video, all good points you made, and yeh, wish she wasnt dunked on hoyoverse just to test how much they can get away with making characters shit, how much the Dehya stans would praise Hoyo for this shit

Amazing content. Love it. With enough dedication and commitment Deyha could be good. But for your next video, could you revisit Klee? I think that she is is heavily underrated. Even if you do have to Charge Cancel for faster attack casting. For the team I would recommend: Klee, Yelan, Kazuha, and Zhongli
Looking at the comment section in this video, people are REALLY hating on Dehya's kit just because "ShE's NoT DoInG hU tAo DaMaGe" or something like that. There are even people that commented like they haven't watched the entire video and just wants to join the hate bandwagon. Moga was actually ENJOYING Dehya throughout the video. Meanwhile, some comments are convinced that he's "high on copium" or something 🙄.
I'm not saying you can't criticize Dehya's kit or anything, but a character not doing big damage doesn't equal bad kit, and it doesn't justify attempting to ruin someone else's enjoyment of that character.
Also, unpopular opinion: I see Dehya as more of a defender than a fighter, so her kit makes sense to me.
I also think Dehya is more of a defender too. To me, she seems like the textbook definition of the “jack of all trades, master of none” saying. I’d argue that she’s not all that bad, but where she supposedly “shines” other characters are way better to use than her.
I've been waiting for Dehya since Sumeru launched. I was bummed about how 'lackluster' her kit is. Despite that, I rolled for C6.
My Dehya isn't fully built up yet since I am very behind on materials. She is currently lv80/80 waiting for the final uncap. Her talents are lv6.
She has ZERO energy problems at C6. You burst, do a team rotation and she is ready to burst again. Good.
Her damage is a little low right now because I don't use the Bennet or Mona or Kazuha combos, and her artifacts are currently trash. But even still, she is doing way better than I was expecting. Can't wait to properly have her finished.

The problem with her as a defensive support is you still need a healer on top of her. She just lowers damage taken, not prevents/heals it. Why use her plus Kokomi when I could just use Kokomi by herself? Also her interrupt-resist is only 9 seconds with a long cooldown

I wonder why people insist to make her dmg dealer for 'vape'. If you saw her dmg is awful, try to switch into transformative reaction like burgeon, overload etc.
Your rotation is messed up for carry Deahya. I can loop rotations very smoothly using 4pc emblem at 180% ish ER in Dehya - Kazuha - Bennet - Mona.
You want to do the following:
Dehya E for energy
Bennet E>Q
Kazuha E
Mona E>Q>E if you use sac frags
Dehya Q and go to town
This should vape at least two hits. Don't worry about Benny's ult ending, Dehya only stays about 5 sec on field anyways, you can do the whole rotation in 6 sec easily.
Another decent team is Dehya - Anemo - Rosaria - Mona/Kaeya but this is a bit harder to do. You need to double swirl for max damage, and this involves some convoluted combos (since you want your Kazuha to have Cryo or Hydro ult).
Surprisingly, I kinda like Nilou with her. Dehya - Anemo - Flex - Nilou is pretty fun, but I admit this is only viable for me because both Dehya and Nilou are C1 with R1 5* weapons (Signature and Jade Cutter). I tend to slot in Kazuha and Bennet for max damage, but Venti and Sucrose are great, and so is Mona. You can even slot Kokomi if you want to be confy, but I don't tend to die with Dehya in since she's taking most of the damage and self healing.
i really hopre she is in the same spot Yoimiya was in when she came out, where people discover how strong she actually is a few patches later.
well, let's be fair: I love yoi (mine's double crowned) but she's not that strong, and pretty much nothing changed that fact. theory crafters have had the same opinion about her pretty much from the start: decent single target pyro dps, inferior to hu tao, works. with dehya there really isn't much that can make her better - her kit is just bad. maybe a broken hydro support from fontaine? and even then that has a chance of backfiring and making hu tao/yoi/xiangling even stronger, so yeah.... I don't see our girl dehya becoming good all of a sudden. for now even diluc is better than she is.
the difference here is:
Yoimiya still works the same as hu tao, only single target focused (hence they called her worse hu tao).

No, she wont. People that compare Dehya with Kazuha, Kokomi or Yoimiya aren't aware of how weak and bad Dehya is. None of those examples were weak, all fuction perfectly and got stronger with sets or units but they weren't WEAK at all. Dehya is weak already, her base dmg and defensive utility is bad, she lacks the uptime in her defensive buffs to make her decent and she lacks the multipliers to be a decent dps. That's why the only good comparasion is 1.1 Zhognli, he was so weak and people was so mad about it that they buffed him 2 patches later, pre buff Zhongli was weaker shielder than Diona and didn't give any buffs to dmg.

Been playing her since she dropped, and I've come to the opposite conclusion about her role. Her defense and interruption resistance just isn't reliable enough with their uptime, and neither are her coordinated attacks. I think she's actually supposed to be a burst DPS psuedo-hypercarry who takes a bit of pressure off the rest of the team. The short durations on her skill give your other teammates a little time to set up and generate energy, then you cycle through bursts to invuln through things until Dehya comes out and starts punching. Problem is that her damage is so underwhelming that she requires dedicated supports buffing her to even get close to the level of her 5-star peers. In all her roles, she's just not particularly good, but burst DPS is the role that makes the most sense to me. She's just way undertuned.

To Vaporize Dehya Burst:
1) Use Benny burst,
2) Use Kazuha skill, swap off
3) drop Mona skill, burst, swap
4) Dehya burst, remember to spam skill for it to come out faster
You can use Kazuha ult in her downtime to still get the dmg

The issue with Dehya as many people point is that her defence and offence are weak. Offensive is because the very very low multipliers and very high energy requirements. For defence, the issue is uptime you only have interrupt resistance for 9 out of the 12 sec duration of her E, and E have a 20 sec cd wich mean only a 60% uptime on her defence split dmg taken... If you had 100% E uptime and the resistance to interruption was something like 90% of the duration of E then she will be a decent defensive unit. Also she can get cancel out of her E so you are stuck without E for 20 sec... She is very similar to pre buff Zhongli that's how weak she is even as a defensive option.
Her 1st Passive should've been built in her Skill or Burst like Raiden Shogun's Resolve stacks. Her C1 should've been her 2nd passive similar to Zhongli and Thoma's 2nd Passive with HP Scaling add to damage.
I think most of us will be like Moga.
Casual/Daily players who's not so much into min-maxing theory crafting so Dehya is fine for us in this way.
I strongly disagree, unless you enjoy the gameplay she will be tilting to use even in overworld. Without very very good artifacts and weapons she will struggle in all content in the game. Is I think the only 5* with Alloy that I won't recommend to a new player or casual player without build characters.

So a pattern that I've noticed in Genshin is that the kit and talents are reflective of the character's personality and their story. Clear lines can be drawn between character traits and skills, and the devs tend to stick to this principle even at the expense of the meta (Xinyan doing physical damage as a pyro unit is in line with her theme of subverting expectations for instance). Dehya is a mercenary, who focuses on bodyguard work and is the kind of person who will secretly sell her claymore to help a cause she believes in. Thus her kit is designed around her providing added support and rounding out a party as a support-dps/damage reducer/reaction enabler. As a mercenary, she's a hired sword; and as a hired sword, she doesn't lead the charge, she just kinda helps where she can.
Seriously, once your start looking at the talents as extensions of the personal story/lore, every single kit starts making so much more sense. Dehya adds survivability by being a good bodyguard and putting her life on the line hence her HP scaling.anyone who scales off HP in any capacity has a track record of putting their health/safety second btw... She increases resistance to interruption which is nice for the squishies but is especially great for the chibis and her trailer showed us she loves kids. Yaoyao driving a burgeon team with Dehya is actually a lot of fun. Finally, she has decent pyro application because she's fiery, duh.
Her kit also makes more sense once you realize the pyro damage her skill provides is just meant to be auxiliary. Again she's not gonna be the main star because she's aiming to get the "most assists". Mechanically, she was given a version of Albedo's skill and Fischl's Burst so that she could support from behind the scenes and reposition herself while applying pyro to everything. Basically, she helps when you're not looking and you can use her to punch your way out of a tough spot if you find yourself cornered... kind of like a bodyguard, say whaaaaaatttt!?

You can cancel Fischl's burst too. That only increases your options for gameplay. And all of this before you start fiddling with artifact sets and the various party buffs you can have her trigger.
She's not bad so much as she doesn't have an obvious role to fill, and the reason for that is because as a mercenary her role is always changing. Feature, not a bug. This means you can build her in a lot of different ways and tailor the kind of support you want her to be. To cap it all off she literally asks you what her job is when she joins the party lol.

You said it provides more options, but it absolutely does not. It just taxes any mobile player for mistapping, or any pc player for pressing the space bar one too many times once they got frozen
It also adds nothing useful, and swapping out can also cancel her burst if you'd wanna do that for...some reason
You also mentioned Fischl's burst and I honestly wish the two were simmilar, but there are two key differences that make Dehya's burst suck and fischl's not suck
1. Dehya's burst only recasts her skill if it was already active
If fischl's oz ran out, you can burst and quickly swap out, and there he is again! If Dehya's skill ran out you have to wait. For the entire cooldown.
2. Dehya's burst *doesn't reset her skill's duration*
If you read her burst description carefully, her burst recasts her skill with whatever duration it already had, so using it to refresh her skill simply. Doesn't. Work.
Besides that, there's the fact that her burst doesn't trigger Xingqiu's, Yelan's, Beidou's, or Thoma's bursts, nor does it gain any advantage from normal attack buffs. This isn't atrocious necessairly, but it greatly removes a lot of her options and makes playing her a lot less fun
None of the above have any lore implications, they are simply bad design
I wish there was any artifact set or something that could help Dehya, but all artifacts can do is up her dmg or maybe slightly lessen her issues. The only thing that can make Dehya actually good is a total rework of her burst from hoyoverse, who have made continuous conscious choices that led to her being bad

The difference is Fischl burst is only one 20k hit while jump canceling Dehya's burst is 20-90% of your total dps. Not to mention mobile players which makes up the majority of the community always mistakenly press the jump button due to horrible design.
Xingqiu who is a self proclaimed defender of justice has better defense than her. One of Morax's titles is a warrior god and yet his kit is all about shielding. Layla is a random ass student who somehow got an visison and still does her defensive utilities better than her. Do I even have to mention Diona who is an bartender and she heals and shields. What the hell does that has to do with anything in her story besides hating alcohol. These characters all have better Defensive capabilities than the character in lore that is more qualified than any of them. Let's not even talk about her dps. How the heck does a random ass Funeral director does more damage than one of the strongest mercs in Teyvat and the man who single handedly forced the harginbers to try to kill him themselves because of how much of a mess he made in snezhnaya.

One Hu Tao charged attack does more damage than the entirety of Dehya's kit combined. C1 makes Dehya below average at best. She's the worst character in the game by a very large margin, it's so crappy for Hoyo to shaft such a lovable character like this
