- Time to make a jam with my skulls and Elektron Model:Cycles. I think that early 2010's underground dnb music was really intriguing and dark, perfect for a day like this one :D (also if not really an italian tradition). For this minimal jungle jam i was inspired by one of the track of Sabre - A Wandering Journal LP (Critical Music) an album that influenced me a lot as producer.
I made all the sound and sequences with a entry level machine from Elektron, the FM based Model:Cycles... i like so much the music i made with this machine :D and it's the perfect pair with my self printed skull :D enjoy!

This soooo good ! :o I'm blown away with what you are doing with these machines ! :D Seriously, I must know, because I'm really tempted to buy a model:cycles watching this. First of all, this is sounding amazing regardless, but are you using any kind of post processing on this ?

good stuff and good song structure, usually live jams lacks structure but this one is good
yes i like to make simple structures and with machines it's easy to copy a pattern and make a variation :) anyway it's a not totally improvised one :D

Devo dire che mi manca un po' quel periodo musicalmente parlando, Sabre, Instramental, Sunchase, il primo Rockwell... non saprei dire quale artista contemporaneo stia portando avanti quel tipo di sound così dilatato e sperimentale.

Hey ciao mi ero perso questo commento :D si li conosco bene, ho apprezzato tantissimo Sunchase in passato e tutti quelli che hanno proposto quel tipo di sonorità minimal (come il primo Rockwell, Sabre, D Bridge etc...). Seguo ancora la scena DnB (un minimo anche quella italiana) anche se al momento mi interessano le sonorità più techy (vedi Overview, Sofa Sound etc..). Visto che ti interessa il genere ti linko il soundcloud al mio progetto DnB principale soundcloud.com/rncbl ... comunque si i suoni provengono tutti dallo strumentoi senza processamentoi esterni :) (a parte il master). Bella ;)

Nice! Are you mixing in post? Btw you should get a Syntakt, you'd be great with it I'm sure :)
The MC jam are mixed directly on the machine, i just make a standard digital mastering. Of course i'm planning to get the Syntakt, i really like it :D

I use my Syntakt for similar sort of stuff..it's a fun engine for those sounds
I think that Syntakt will be my next groovebox :D Elektron workflow it's perfect (to me) for this kind of stuff!

Love the Cycles, but it can sound "samey". Not here. You get great stuff out of it.
Yes i heard about that :D but with some simple synth and drums layering you can get more from this machine :)
