99-04 mustang Auto Shift Cable Replacement

Transmission bolt-shifter, 13mm
Two other bolts are 8mm
Replaced the shift cable on my 2000 v6 mustang after it snapped while I was driving due to rust and weather exposure. Here’s a quick video for it.

Hey man I hate to ask but what the problem when your gear shifter is loose? When I put my car 2003 mustang from D to P it revs up and is loose but if I go from D to N to P slow it’s super tight and doesn’t rev what’s the problem and how to fix if you know thanks!

​@@AntonioLopez-hk4cs nah according to my boss who drives an f150 of the same generation (they have the same 4r70w trans) its an internal issue in the transmission specifically a spring. I'm currently swapping mine now because of this, hope it helps. I'm assuming you're able to drive in reverse and still shift through all the gears p r n d 2 1 like normal but the car won't actually go into gear and move which is the issue I'm having with my mustang and he had with his f150.
