I remember this song when it first came out,I was 4 years old.I was so innocent and full of life at that time in my life, however I'm 46 now so whenever I wanna go back in time I put on my headphones and close my eyes and crank up the volume. Man where have those days gone? Thank you Carl Douglas.
Just found out that it's too early in my pregnancy stage for our baby to hear outside noise. I mean, if an ear canal is pretty much an open wound, does the sound not carry? Or not carry far enough? Don't really know how that works or if it's cut off or wever. & if not hear, do they not maybe feel vibrations of music? Also, this doggo acts weird somexs... I wish she could talk. I know pets look derpy sometimes but what if they really could? It might be like humans: ew. Why r u so fascinated w/waste for? Animals: duh dumbass. Only bc it tells absolutely everything about the anatomy _face palm_ also also, Oct 9, 2022. I was here. Pretty sure this is the first time ever he really felt the baby kick "hard." Where he couldn't even question himself, am I wishfully being delusional? How the baby feels from the outside vs inside is def 2 complete different things. Sigh my baby's to young to have theme songs just yet. I guess it just likes church choir music...
I love playing song from the 60's 70's and 80's and reading how it brings back memories for some people and how I might remind them of a person its great to have songs like this to remember the good the bad and the ugly being only 22 I feel like I can vibe with that tunes and times ✊🏾
+Octavus5 since 2001.. 9/11 was a puny excuse to invade other countries like back centuries ago, since then we have made steps backwards and the dinosaurs are back. At least so it seems. But they will be gone soon. Dont you worry. But imagine what would have happened if the US had just said: "We will not invade a country because of a terrorist attack. We will not give in to terrorism, we will not make it more important than it is." - what would have happened ? We will never know. I just want to see this one time. A country saying: "Well... this was a terrorist attack. So... so what ?" I m sure all hurricanes in the US made more deaths than the WTC did. Hell, there are more ppl dying of car accidents every year. And what would have happened if we would have pumped that money into aids for Afghanistan. Hm ? Instead of hitting... helping. I hope that some government will learn. I hope that there will be a "super"-power deserving that name. I hope there will be rulers who deserve to be rulers. I hope that we will live in a future love paradise.
I first heard the song Kung Fu Fighting on Wednesday, December 11, 1974. I was in the Navy then on my fifth Navy cruise, first Westpac cruise, I was on Liberty in Olongapo City, Philippines. It was the second visit for me there. The Navy Liberty in the Philippines in Olongapo City & Manila are the very best Liberty Ports in the world.
Damn bro. You got around. I only got as far as Norfolk from Charleston. After that it was a medical discharge. But I still had the best time of my life on that frigate. This was in the early 80s.
I was doing fake karate to this. I did a shin-break kick, spun on my heel with the same leg raised into a modified crane stance, and then kicked straight with my foot turned sideways. Unfortunately I shifted slightly to the left while turning, and so I kicked my fan through my door. My closed door.
It's a sobering thought that, had even one person - JUST ONE - opted out of the Kung Fu Fighting back then, this excellent song would never have been written.
I know this song since 2008 thanks to Kung Fu Panda and I literally love it😍❤️ but I always thought it was born for "Kung Fu Panda". Until today, I didn't know this song already existed before of "Kung Fu Panda".
A classic!!! A masterpiece!!! Brings more than a smile to my face and a trickle to my eyes!!! Rest in peace Mr Myiagi 🎎🎏 Jackie Chan won't let the sun go down on you......🎵🎶🎵🎶.....
My cousins both know karate and they challenge each other to random sparring sessions throughout the day by just playing this song. So one of them would just be in their room on their phone or whatever when he would suddenly hear (whoa whoa whoa), would turn around and knew that shit was about to hit the fan.
It's a solid beat with a high and light melody. The message its self is about working together and playing your part being part of a bigger whole and doing so to overcome massive obstacles IE the big boss. It also reminds people of the old street fighter games which were well-loved during their time. All of these are things that make people feel good.
This takes me down Memory lane. Everyone in da club did the Kung Fu dance and sang along when this song came on. This song stood the test of time. Too bad the new generation does not know the joy of dancing.
If you saw movies of Bruce Lee from the 70's I'm sure everyone will remember coming out of the movies doing high kicks and "whoooooaaaaaaa!!!!" and singing this song at the top of your lungs!!! Such great times!!!

Well we were all innocent because we were kids. It has nothing to do with time period. You don't have to grow up in the 70s to be a happy child.
Loved how you put this together. Do you have a blog or something?

There were funky China men from funky Chinatown
They were chopping them up
They were chopping them down

In fact it was a little bit frightening
But they fought with expert timing
There was funky Billie Chin and little Sammy Chong
