I recently discovered the artist Tadow. He plays so many different instruments and his voice is like velvet. I turn on his station on Pandora and it immediately puts me in a happy place. 😊

I'm 22 and I've recently got a job and even though this is not my dream job, I'm quite happy to know that I've got a job, it makes me feel worthy of actually having something that I can earn from and enjoy. I'll be shifting to Delhi next week and I feel joy for the starting of new things.I want to make most out it and I want to enjoy each day as it passes, each moment at a time.

So excited to see you visited my country! Ghent is very busy in the summer unfortunately, so you might not have experienced the true city, but the Ghent festival is a very lively experience so that's a great bonus though. I studied and lived in Gent many years myself. Bruges/ Brugge is my favorite city, it has maintained its medieval historic look. So if in the future, you ever have the chance to visit Belgium again, I'd totally recommend Bruges. Lovely video, I love this way of poetically narrating over a travel vlog 💙

It really resonated with me when you we're talking about being different around different people. I've been ruminating on how it makes me feel inauthentic to my long term friends, especially as I'm craving the softer and more gentle connections of someone who knows me purely in the present and for who I am now. It's not inauthentic and in fact it's more authentic to myself to fall into those roles, as long as I'm also feeding the other versions of myself. Also I'm now craving another amsterdam trip, as my last one was very different for a hen party! Maybe it will be my first solo trip! ❤

I have not been watching all your entries this month but saw this this morning when I woke up feeling dull and a wee bit sad. The title really grabbed me so I watched. Oh My Goodness, this was perfect! Especially about the fact that as humans we’re an emotional range of feelings, desires and expectations. And accepting all of it can be overwhelming. And yet, your words have a sudden sense of relief! Yes! I can be, feel and want all these things that stream about in my body, mind, soul and heart! It’s who I am. Thank you for the reminder! You have helped me shift my mindset this morning. And that’s a good thing.
My favorite art inspiration is Samantha Dion Baker. I am an artist but have not followed that dream and Samantha’ style and art practice appeals to me and has gotten me to pull out my supplies and try. She is a great resource for those itching to incorporate drawing and painting into their journaling as well.

Beautiful and enjoyable video and thoughts. Too bad you missed Van Gogh Museum, it is wonderful, but one of the most visited museums in the world, so best to pre-book on line. It is the most amazing collection of his paintings all in one place! I live here in the Netherlands, and love seeing all the familiar places in your video. I hope that you enjoyed your trip to Belgium and the Netherlands. Europe is a place to reflect on life and your own role in it given history, art, architecture, music beauty is all around you. We are old and yet young at the same time!

The thing that always sparks joy and inspiration in me is books songs podcasts anf movies I am not really attracted to sculptures paintings and stuff but I was always so satisfied happy inspired content with life when I read a book listened to a song or podcast or watched a movie as it just made my soul sing and my heart dance I love these things as I hold them as my dearest hobbies which allow me to truly explore myself life and everything else in a newer unique perspective which energise my mind too

There's something about European architecture that transports you to another world. I've had beautiful experiences in Germany, Spain, and Italy. It feels like everything slows down. I'm not stressed about what's going on in my day-to-day life. Or, what tomorrow brings. I had a similar moment in Zurich where the museum was shut on that particular day, and it just didn't matter. Being present mattered more.

Thank you for this video Aileen. So interesting, what you said, art is beautiful because it isn’t necessary. If all art was to be taken away, we would still be breathing, but I wonder how loosing everything that is art would affect us?
I like the classical and romantic periods of art, such as the impressionist paintings by Monet.
Also, if I should visit Amsterdam, I would have to make a beeline for the Rituals store 😁

I have been listening to music lately.
Otherwise my life has been going through some shifts in change. Doors that I usually would go through closed. Dreams I had for years have shifted in a way where I question them, not all due to my own growth but also due to changes in the world. I haven't found where this is leading me to... I want to take my next step in life, but it's the how that gets me. When can be whenever that how is found. My what is in question as well due to the changes mentioned above. So it's like shedding your old identity sort of. It kind of puts you in an identity crisis. No matter the book I pick up or resource I try it just doesn't help so far. Some habits and hobbies I've grown out of and left. Moreso because I don't see anymore potential for growth for me there. So it's like a new chapter in life that's kinda forced when I am not quite there yet. It's like being in the middle of the chapter and the rest of the pages except the last page that transitions to the next are ripped out. Is it time to find a new book? Or do I try to fill in the blank? It's something to think about.

Yes I don’t regret getting it! My vision was 20/20 and then my left eye worsened a little but just to about 40 or 50 I think. I got glasses for driving at night but tbh I often forget to use them. It’s not bad enough to get lasik again so I’m still quite happy with my eyes
