I Cleaned my civic 2005 solenoid like you did and I drove the car after cleaning solenoid The first time it was fine and I turned off the engine, and after a while I started the engine and the problem appeared😢
About 5 years ago I walked away from my '99 Accord with about 190,000 miles because of likely this problem. I gave the title to the guy in the tire store down the street I think for $150. I just figured the tranny was shot.
hello: I cleaned my solenoids like you did here. I thought maybe using carb cleaner might damage she seals if they are rubber. I wonder if you had any problems later. TIA
Brake cleaner destroys plastic and rubber. Remove the gasket before cleaning.

The seals were only subjected to cleaner briefly, and then it evaporates. I can't forsee an issue. Soak them in ATF after
Don’t use brake cleaner for the love of god. Use mass airflow cleaner spray.
