And getting to co-star with my friend, that's a plus. Im deeply touched to share the screen with him. Im always touched anytime Josh and Victoria has asked me to come be a part. And this, this was beyond words. Thank you
I really enjoyed this film. Knowing that Emily died in the prime universe early on in their marriage and seeing her reference eobard, that's really trippy to me, as a fan. Cause her came much later after her death in the prime timeline. In my mind, it's the redundant to guinan meeting tasha yar, just very surreal. And i really love that. Also minard kinda tense the whole time, but the wave of calm at seeing his love, that to me is the greatest thing. It says all you need to kno abt fan films strongest couple.
Awesome little vignette, watching Minard complain about "emergency" orders reminds me of my days in the Navy, they actually changed my own orders, from one ship to another before Desert Storm. This is exactly how families deal with the "needs of the service". I remember being told "if the Navy wanted sailors to get married, they would issue you a wife in your seabag". Good job by Josh playing the "A-hole" superior officer. Good job by the Avalon universe "crew" and Warp 66 studios.
Interesting; the plot thickens ... so much the better! . . . Good luck Minard; you're going to need it! . . . I wonder if Excalibur is starting to get a reputation among Starfleet personnel as a "Jonah ship?!"
Oh boy, an Avalon Universe version of Minard?! This ought to be good -- that guy gets around! Can't wait to see Minard together with the rest of the Excalibur crew.
_Minards are multiplying across the multi-verse, and I'm okay with that! Looking forward to actually seeing Minard do some actual engineering! Pardon me while I re-calculate some time distortions! _
My popcorn wasn't even popped! Curses on CBS for limiting these fan films. They are as good and most of the time better than anything that the studios put out.
"Avalon Universe" is an interesting name. "Avalon is a Welsh name meaning "the isle of fruit [or apple] trees". Well, this Avalon Universe sure does bear fertile fruit! I really enjoy the high quality, diligence and dedication that go into every work. I'm sure Geoffrey of Monmouth would be very pleased to see his Arthurian legend associated with you work. As always, thank you again
@@joshuairwin2016 You tend to treat classic themes. Which is wonderful. Here, I detect Adversity and Sacrifice and how to adapt. For me, you are being true to Roddenberry's dream of story telling. You remind me of Joseph Stefano of The Outer Limits and other great story vehicles. He told writers to pick a topic that they felt passionate about then tell a great story. The Outer Limits, and Sterling's "Twilight Zone" were inspirational, not only to story consumers but to story-crafters - true Bards! Their work inspires and endures. A lot of fan vignettes write dialog like normal people get into the fleet. Avalon does a pretty good job of righting people who sound more intelligent and like they have experience.

Very nice short about the challenges of a relationship while in Starfleet. I'm curious to see what happens next in the Avalon universe.
It'll be great stuff
Thank you for your kind words! You won't have to wait long. Lots to come!

A familiar story for many of us, well acted, with great, clean graphics. Great job!
Im glad you enjoyed it brother!
Original Startrek was the 1st to have a minority mix cast of the time..
Woke without trying.
Solid performances from both Josh and Vance!

I have to say, Yaffah was pretty darn good too!

This is what we need on prime time TV. Heartfelt Star Trek that pays homage to the original, showing the hearts and minds of the officers.

She needed a new Starboard engine to match the new port one anyway.

Well done. Where might it fall in the Trek timeline?
That is cool! So is Eobard still adopted in this universe, or is he their biological child? Who can say?...
Adopted. Only difference is Emily was alive
