I saw JCS back in December 17th, 1997 in Detroit. They opened for Megadeth. Salmonella Envelope is still a fantastic album that holds up today. I even got my 11 year old into them when he was learning to play the guitar. This is a great performance! I’d love to see them live again.
I'm a little late (but not too late) to the game, didn't know their music until seeing them live in July. Now I am totally obsessed. So happy to find this stuff online to feed my hunger. Thanks for posting.
I don't understand why they didn't take off. They were the hottest band. My only guess is their major label got overly produced and poppy songs deviating from the raw sound we all loved. I've never seen a local band get this big before.
Jimmie's Chicken Shack .... Review ... Songwriting 10 ... Musicianship 9 ... Showmanship 9 ... Lyrics 7 .... BUT!!!! VOCALS 2 and this is why they never broke the market
@@tbone8723 Disagree how? I know he sounds better on the album .... everyone sounds better with infinite takes and good editing. I'm talking about reality.
Excellent song 'beautiful', would have loved to be there!

Wow, I had no idea how fantastic they are!
Big fan here! Saw them 3 times in the Midwest St Louis area. St Louis, Carbondale, etc…. Spoke with HaHa a few times and shared a shot of tequila.
This made me love this band
Tradition?! I never knew this, definitely going to mark this on the calendar this year!!
KingNothing: Tickets for Jimmie’s Chicken Shack are going on sale tomorrow for the day after Christmas 2021.
He's such a great charismatic front man.
STILL KILLING IT per usual

The one and only reason Jimmie's Chicken Shack didn't chart and didn't get famous. VOCALS....
@@jimgaddio6255 can you elaborate? I think their vocals were awesome. Everyone loved Haha (Davies)
@@jimgaddio6255 I am a musician and have been for a long time. HaHa’s voice is fantastic and he’s a nice guy. Love his songwriting and voice.
They are huge here in maryland and they have a new album coming out they kick so much ass! Check out grilled Lincoln’s also from Annapolis and AMAZING
Davies is a great singer and songwriter. I don't understand why they weren't bigger than fuel. Same area and JCS was way bigger than fuel.
They still got it!!!
Awesome!
WOW!!!! You guys!!!!
Love Envelope and BYOS. This band had potential. Take care of yourself Jimmy...
awesome thanks
Che!....."yeah!"
Who'se the blond guy?
Island styles
Love these guys but the awkward silence between songs while he tunes is terrible.

Disagree.
Totally disagree

@@SgtThump Don't worry. Everyone knows what you mean even if you don't say it. Mysterious.
I love this f*cking band and people are arguing with me about details. I love it.
