These DIY fairy jars ( Or DIY fairy lanterns) came out so well! They're an easy DIY that anyone can do. These make perfect gifts for Christmas or birthdays or any other special accession. They could also be used as cute night lights for a kids room. This DIY is fun and easy to make because unlike the other tutorials that use tissue paper I use acrylic paint. I hope you guys have fun with this project and enjoy making it! Make sure to head over to my instagram for the giveaway! Good luck to everyone who enters!

TIP: I made these, and if you don’t have paint you can use tracing paper and wrap it around the inside of the jar!! :D
Print the fairy on a transparency and no trimming, done.
I-
I'm a guy and I think these are amazing I want to make one for My mom
Please do!
Holes! You forgot to put holes in the jar lid, fairies need air it's in their name. 🤣 Awesome idea.
RIP to all the fairies murdered for decoration purposes
this comment makes me happy
Wow, this is actually pretty neat. I'll probably make one of these for my girlfriend.
Just Some Alex And? Had you do this? :D
Formal Kiwi Thats so sweet😘💖💖
Formal Kiwi aw that's cute if you did. did you make it?
Formal Kiwi you definitely should make one for your girlfriend
That's so cute❤️
She'll love that
Just did this and if came out so much better than expected!! Almost scares me how real it looks
Merry Christmas and thank you so much for sharing the fairy jars with your fans...can hardly wait to start making them.
Make a solar jar out of these. Get some little $1 solar lights from the dollar store, drill a whole in the lid, big enough for the LED to pop through, then hot glue the solar light on top.
Michelle, your Fairy Glow Jars are absolutely magical.
Oh my gosh thank you. I am obsessed and have always loved fairies and fantasy things like dragons. I have been trying to find a tutorial so I could make one. And then I found this video! thank you so much! I am definitely making this today!😊🔮✨🍄🧚🐉
You’re so relaxed while working, and it still came out amazingly. Some people take things like this too seriously 😘 thanks
I love this!
I made two from items purchased at the Dollar tree (This is a $5-10 project depending on items you already have). I glued a Tinkerbell cut out in one and Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather in the other.
Super easy and so sweet! They has solar light tops for mason jars, which I'm going to try. I'm also going to make the inside a mercury glass finish. Thank you so much for sharing!
A regular tea light does work but I really love the look of the flicker ones that resemble a real candle!! Good job!
Danielle Regular lights may catch fire, if put in a jar.Stick to led lights.
Dilaravamp A Yeah, especially if paint is splattered all over the jar which can cause fire. Lol.
Dilaravamp A Well the candle wouldn't burn long anyways cause there would be no oxygen left after a few seconds.
Dilaravamp A they make led lights like the ones in the video that flicker. I think that's what she meant.
I had decided long back to never throw away any bottle out of my house. Now I have many beautiful decoration pieces & many more are on its way. It is always good to do what you like and enjoy doing. Keep up the good work.
Omg omg I'm getting my first apartment with my boyfriend soon and now I'm gonna decorate the whole place with fairy jars !
I've always seen these made with gluing white tissue paper all around the jar but this looks just as nice, easier, and more neat looking. I'm gonna try this way out first!
Same! I was like theres no way I'm going to be able to do this with tissue paper lol.
Wow, I have everything on hand! Ty for sharing your amazing talent🌹
Very cute! love the moss too! This is nice without the tissue paper. The tissue paper can add texture for those who prefer it, but I like yours a lot!😍
OMG Michelle you are seriously talented!!
Thanks girl! Love your videos.

This is so lovely. I am going to make some and put them on the porch of my cabin...they're going to look amazing out in the woods! Thanks for the upload.
OMG! These are adorable! I'm going to make it but I'm going to poke holes in the top like we did when I was a kid catching lightning bugs.
Cute idea!
Miss Jenny's Cleaning cuz so dat it looks like u actually caught it so dat it can breathe?
What a magical glow they create!! So whimsical and dreamy!!TFS. Have a wonderful summer. Blessings, Michelle
I believe in fairies they are so real
Cool project. Thank you for sharing.
Of course! Thanks for watching 😊
Dude my little sister is obsessed with fairies! This is the perfect gift for her!
Aww good. I hope she loves it!
Michelle Lough oh she will i was thinking about this video a while back and I thought that the fairy jar can be modified! there's a lot of different ways to expand!!!
Yeah, if you watch my latest video I did a Disney version of these jars using tinker bell and other Disney characters!
Michelle Lough perfect! I will definitely be watching that video!
I would like to know how I can get a copy or print of the fairies...I don't have a printer right now!!MichelleLough..and tia
They are beautiful!
cool idea
I saw once someone thining the paint with water and flip the jar to drip and dry
Adorable...I'm doing that for sure!
I will be making these with my daughter! What a great project! Thank you :)
Did you make?
That is adorable. I can't wait till your net video. Thank you for inspiring me.
These r so cute.. and something different.
I'm sorry I was blind but about where you put the light, and what did you use?
Messhidan AlO she most likely used a LED tea light, using a real one is obviously a fire hazard.
Messhidan AlO She probably glued it down too otherwise it wouldn't be steady as she moves the glass.
Messhidan AlO poor thing 😞
She placed a battery operated tea light in on top of the moss then replaced the lid. Do not glue it as You will be unable to turn it on and off and replace the batteries in the future. Michelle
How do you type so perfectly when you were blind LOL but no offence dou
Might be quicker and a better effect if you pour paint directly into the jar and rotate and tilt the jar till covered. Turn upside down over a bowl to let excess paint run off. Another is to put paint in jar, screw on the lid and shake the jar. I've tried both, either works brilliantly
I use the sponge because I want just a thing layer of paint. If its to thick you won't be able to see the silhouette.
Love this 😍and I love anything to do with fairies ! Great Mother's Day idea 💡
Wooooooooow it is so good....
Great looking and a great project make more please
nice, interesting....will have to try tis someday soon!!!!!
Your talent made me astonish..... So nice
Thank you!
Its so pretty , thank you for sharing these. so much love ♥
Thank you for taking time to show us such a cute project! Great job! Love it! Debra C from Texas.😄
Did she use flamess/electrical tealights
Probably, seen as if she used real candles the ivy and moss would burn up
I hope they were flameless cause candles need Oxygen to burn.
Charlotte Young yes or everything would burn
Great job on your tutorial. i like that you are not all drama about teaching an art project it is not about you but sharing and teaching. You are very pretty, but do not let that be what this is about
Instead of printing the silohuettes ok white paper and cutting the fine details out, try using transparency sheets that are safe to print with a regular printer.
I'd like to know where I can get the print of the fairy!!...in order to copy it.
So awesome! Not doing do I love DYI tutorials, but I make creative mason jars as well, but this is super cool! Thank you and can't wait to try it!
"A little bit of paint" proceeds to squeeze out half the tube into the paper.😂😂
Hi Michelle! :) very kool and beautiful! I love fairies and mystic things and wanting to create things for my future log home! II came across your channel as I have been amazed by all the creative things people are making easy and simple! I’m impressed by your talents and abilities and I’m sure I’m doing to use it too to create my own! I don’t have any social media’s but would of loved a genuine creation of yours as a masterpiece towards my collection! My granddaughters would love it so much too besides! Thank you for sharing! God bless!:)
Tanks so cute you are an artist
I love it !!! I’m going to make one for me for sure !
Hi. I have been watching DIY Christmas videos for 2 days. Your fairy idea was original and unique ! Very lovely presentation. Your idea can be expanded to put any kind of black shadow in the jar...for instance...Halloween pumpkin and spooky ghosts, reaper etc.. And also any holiday shadows...Christmas, Valentines day etc. I love the fairy idea! Thank you for sharing. Have a very Happy Holiday : )
dottie erickson Exactly! I have a Disney themed glow jar video on my channel as well 😊
Very fine cutting 👍 fairy
I really like fairy. How cute
This is Neat !! I’ve been searching for crafts to do to keep myself creating. This is a good one
awhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, how cute are these,,, my little girl will love these
Cute project, but why not just use a disposable sponge brush?
These would make great gifts. 😃
michelle or anyone can you tell me where to get the light
Xwonderless 620X they are battery operated tea lights and are available in most shops and supermarkets or try ebay 😊 xx
Looks like the bad fairy is holding a revolver lol…no seriously, what a ‘beautiful’ creation, those jars are absolutely awesome, such a lovely Peaceful glow to look at when dark….. thank you for sharing you’re lovely idea x
With the lids I don't think that they need that extra step. Just because when you think about it if you leave the lives the way they are it kind of looks or gives the illusion that you just freshly captured the fairies.
Cute idea! I'm gonna attempt to make some, but with silhouettes of my friend's kids, or maybe her dogs. I'm not sure which she likes best. 😆
Super cute! I love all things fairy!
Here's a thought to save you some work. Use projector transparencies instead of paper. There's less to cut out that way which reduces the chance for human error too. Because it's clear all you have to do is roughly cut it out so the piece fits in the jar. It makes for a pretty crisp silhouette.
That is a sweet ass arts and crafts project me and my gf are gonna be doing this. Thank you for the inspiration.
this was best and easy. wow!
Very cool idea.. I'm going to do this today.. also for those of you who have a cutter like Cricut or Cameo. You can use sticker paper and it will make it easier for your fairies or just letting the cutter cut it for you will be easier.
Pretty nice
Thanks!
Michelle, Great video, loved the voice, the music and your instructions, can't wait to make on for my niece, she's going to love it. Great job.
Very pretty!
Very nice. Thanks for sharing.
Great idea for Christmas
So cool michelle, great way to upcycle too,, great video, beautiful to see good art n crafts. Thanks for sharing😁
Onwwww! So cute! Very good! Congratulations!
Thnk U Michelle! You’re the best👍
You ever try a foam paint brush to coat the inside of the jar? They're only a buck and have a nice handle.
you are amazing...this video helped me alot😄...but the only disapointing thing is i have square shaped glass jars😣
Use any shape you like! Good luck
@@GemiStarr tq so much
Very creative, but I cant help wondering about the flame from the tea light.
If the jar were knocked over, it could set the moss on fire.
The other thing is that with the lid on, the flame would quickly burn up all the oxygen and go out.
Maybe use battery powered tea lights.
I did use a battery operated tea light.
Your tea lights look like they have a burnt wick. More realistic than the ones I've seen. Sorry :)
Yeah i was puzzled by the whole candle thing. Glad this was cleared up!
no body no how much i love these things💓😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
l keep getting angry at myself that why l never found ur videos before .. now lm happy l found u .. and U GOT A FOLLOWER
very sweet outcome!
Life hack for the fairy you can also stickers
can the fairy sillhoutte be printed from regular paper and still be glued to the jar?
Adoro fadas e duendes , amei sua demostração você e linda
awesome i love it. thank you for the video.
good and very beautiful work 👍
I can imagine putting my sweet friend in the jar. She will be with me forever.
Thats cool - with good ideas you can make cheap so nice things ... thank you.
so ute! perfect for summertime crafts with the kiddos. thanks!
*cute
That is soooo cuuute!
clever and magical. great job.
OMG THANK YOU FOR SHOWING ME THIS! I tried my own from another video which was LITERALLY 11 MINUTES! WHEN THERE WAS ANOTHER EASIER WAY! You help out soooo much! THANK YOU!
I love this video it's nice and calm
An easier way to cover the inside of the jar is to put paint and a little nail polish remover and mix it up and shake it!!
Adorable!
Will it still have the same effect if I use frosted paint and then covered the outside part with glitter? Just to make it look prettier during day time.
that is adorable
I like this much better than using the tissue paper, so cute!
Thank You. Like this nice gift
