Are you always going to be a South African family living in Ireland? Grab the 'bull by the horns' and join in! Welcome home. We are extremely glad to have you. Live long and prosper. If you need help, ask. Your fresh perspective will benefit us all. Best wishes. Lovely video. bye
So awesome to be back in Ireland, and especially Dungarvan for another visit, and seeing how grown up the children are getting. Ireland is beginning to creep into our hearts.
Came across your channel and enjoying it very much . Born and bred Cape Town and been here since 2006 . I'm in county Cork . Best move I ever made . Thanks for great content .
What a lovely video! Loved the bird getting the worm! Shot at such a great level! The Abby and the music, wonderful! Another one to put on my list when I return to Ireland. Just had my first trip to South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Zambia! It was truly amazing and beautiful! The people were helpful and delightful! I’d go back in a heartbeat if it were not so expensive.
Oh wow! How nice to see a new video pop up this morning! I am on my way out for a walk with our pups but will definitely be watching later today. I hope that everyone is doing well and that your UA-cam break was a positive and refreshing experience. Have a beautiful day. 🙂
Just stumped across your channel, and it is wonderful to see people who come to ireland and appreciate this beautiful island of ours. The camera work and brilliant selection of music is a joy to watch and really captures the beauty of this country. You are doing fantastic!
loved the video. When videoing on my own family growing up I focused too much on birthdays and Christmas'. When looking back now the bits I enjoy most are just the ordinary day to day things. On a separate topic, have the boys been enlisted to play hurling yet? Waterford a proud hurling county
I do look forward one day.... many years from now, watching these videos and remembering our wonderful adventure moving to Ireland. My oldest isn't very interested but my 7 yr old is playing hurling at school now and is thoroughly enjoying it!
Welcome to Ireland ! I've just subscribed, what a lovely video. Your little girl/boy is a dote, she/he sure does like running water ! Your videography is excellent and I love the way you tell the story. We planted a lemon tree etc. etc. Dungarvan is a lovely part of the country and you seem to have travelled quite a bit. That abbey was amazing and it was so nice to have it all to yourself. Imagine how busy it must have been in the past, in its heyday as they say. If you have an interest in history, you should try and visit Enniscorthy, the Castle and Vinegar hill is worth a visit. Read up about it beforehand and you will get an insight into how significant they were in Irish history. That part of Wexford is very pretty also, Bunclody is a nice small town with some cool shops and cafes. I'm not sure how your video came up on my feed but I'm glad it did. Probably because I've been watching a lot of Rugby involving the Boks and Ireland lately. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to your next video.
It is truelly terrible the way we live in South Africa and the rest of the world watches. There were more murders in South Africa per anum than the deaths of people in the first 12 months of the Ukraine/ Russia war.
So many variables... depends on what country you are coming from? How long you plan on staying? Can you prove that you will return? Letter of employment, bank statements, travel insurance, letter of invitation or accommodation that has been booked? Lots of things depend on the visit visa.
Most white South African refugees have ended up in warmer climates such as Australia, New Zealand and South America, which was probably the most sensible move for them. This family which lived in England but moved to Portugal (the wife is Afrikaner) even have their own youtube channel. www.youtube.com/@TheNewbys
It depends what way one looks at it, I guess. In Ireland the weather isn’t great, but Europe’s been boiling for the past month. Give it a few decades and Ireland might be one of the small part of the continent that’s bearable come summer time.

It is! Thank you for your comment x
I"m sure it's great to live some where you don't have to live behind barred windows and razor wire fences for your family's protection. God Bless.
