Cheers. It is not poly urathane, it is MS polymer “MS Polymer Adhesive & Sealant is a . ... Modified silicone polymers (MS Polymers) offer the best all round sealant and adhesive on the market, it excels where elastic construction joints are required. It is odourless, neutral and free of isocyanates.” Waterproof tape would not be strong enough I believe.
Tell me about it. That's why I needed to research a video just like this one. The front side rolls down but the back side stays up. That's what happens in a Canadian winter after a shotty Autobody repair is performed. :S Big thanks to the uploader. This helps quite a bit!
For anyone reading with a window problem on a Rover 400/45 or MG ZS, another common issue is the bolts holding the motor/mechanism to the door work loose. I’ve had it on 3 out of 5 of them
Nice work and good presentation. Still looks a little bit beyond my capabilities. Local gas station wants to charge my mom $600.00 to "rehang" the back left side window on her 2000 Volvo S40. The car is cherry with only 70k miles and I plan to inherit it someday probably soon (I mean she is 92). No way I can get through the winter with that thing always open 3-4 inches. Garage kept... but fear leaving it alone in a store parking lot. Any suggestions on what price would actually be a fair one?
$100 would be fairer. Try another garage. Or try it yourself. With DIY it’s the trying that’s the important thing even i you don’t succeed. Just take your time and be patient.
It’s comforting to see i’m not the only one waiting to do this until rain is in the forecast.
Thank you for the helpful video sir . Polymer sealant. That’s what I needed to know about. 👍
thank you so much this just happened to me and it's about to start raining, glad I could find some help.
Glad to help.
Excellent video ! Thanks for making it for all of us to learn from you :)
Thanks!
Very clarity work, easy understanding
Thanks.
Hi my friend nice fix, what is the brand name of polymer sealant you use? I have the same problem with my friver's side window..thanks
Thanks. I look for the words ms polymer. I think I put some buying links in the video description section.
Thank you so much, my hilux can finally hit the road again and park without anyone having to stay in the truck 😂
Also known as PolyUrathain Sealant. Personal id have thought about double sided waterproof tape.
Thanks for the usefull video.

Good video, think both my rear doors are gone as won't lock with the key, and stay permanently locked if locked manually.

I already bought a whole motor regulator but if its not a significant cost ill just have a mechanic swap it out.
If the window has just detached it doesn’t need a new regulator.
@@comeinhandynowyeah I just figured that
