Viofo A229 Pro Firmware update and upcoming Over The Air (OTA) upgrade

This is the latest public release version of Firmware for both the front and back cameras at time of this video. V1.2.240227 for front and V1.0.231207

Viofo is re-introducing the ability to update Firmware without the need of copying files to a microsd card etc.
OTA updates are scheduled to work in the "near future"
For it to work your Viofo A229 Pro will need to have the latest app on your phone and firmware version 1.2 installed on the dashcam.
The difference for the novice amongst us to update the firmware on your dashcam required using a computer to download from the official Viofo web site and placing the file onto a newly formatted MicroSD card also referred to as a TF card. (Same card with different names.)
As you can see from the video OTA firmware update is so much easier and less of a headache!

The latest Viofo app update for ios means you no longer need to turn off LTE/4G to view live view from the dash cam. Viofo said they would fix it and they have. Great to see they listen to their customers.
