My brother was killed by a drunk driver in 1977,I was 15 than,it was devastating. The driver's family had lots of money and he never got convicted and didn't spend a second in jail. Since than I have never respected the United States judicial system.

Oh my gosh!!!! So many commenters and yourself have never heard of Leon Russell?!?!!! How can that be?! He was one of the most accomplished singers, musicians and songwriters of our time!! He’s in the Rock and Roll and Songwriter’s Hall of Fame. He recorded 31 albums and wrote over 400 huge songs, many of which I guarantee you know. Tight Rope, This Masquerade, Lady Blue, Back to the Island, Delta Lady were some of his hit songs. He wrote songs for the Carpenters (Superstar and A Song For You) and won many Grammys including songs he co-wrote with Barbra Streisand for the soundtrack to A Star is Born. He is a legend among legends! Go read his bio. It’s one of the most impressive in the music industry. I am a huge fan!! Either you only listen to black music and never venture to other music venues. I was a black child in the 60s and 70s who didn't have a black radio station. So I appreciate old school any music. I too was surprised to find out about Oral Roberts. (Yes, spelled ORAL). Strange to discover his grave has no flare or fanfare. Just a small simple marker in an anonymous space. Just some hometown info if you find the time or are even interested. Comedian Sam Kennison is also buried here. Probably most interesting grave on site. Usually surrounded with candles, unopened beer bottles, cigarettes (save for weather), guitar picks, joints, pipes, stuffed animals, photos, money etc. Some of the items & tributes have been there for almost 30 yrs. And no one dares to touch any of it. Not sure why Lamont failed to mention him in this video.

Great tribute to all commemorated here Lamont.
Leon Russel had a few charting hits over the years.
Tightrope, lady blue, masquerade and this song's for you.
Honored member of the Rock And Roll hall of fame. In the case of Rex B. It seems ironic how success was not enough for him. I live by a simple formula in life that has kept me balanced and focused for many years, I often ask people if they can give the definition between success and happiness in life and have received many different responses.
My answer to that question has always been simply,......
Success is having all you want,... Happiness is wanting all you have.
Love your credo of "payable upon death".
We are only worth the good we have done in life and our legacy lies within the hearts of those who loved and remember us.
    It's just THAT simple.
    Great video Lamont.

Lamont, these are my favorite videos. You go to a cemetery and just talk about average people with average lives. Then a few surprises in the mix this time! An awesome video with a lot of interesting stories! You do such a great job telling peoples stories. Sometimes I feel like you knew these people!
Tulsa is in the middle of an investigation of a man who shot several people at a hospital. I know you may well be hundreds of miles away by now and don't even know about it yet. Or you could still be in the area! That's part of the charm of your videos, we never quite know where your at!
Take care out there! The world is an ever changing place! Your definitely a gifted story teller and an amazing trivia source. An inspiration for UA-camrs who want to do these types of videos.
    Jill

Leon Russell *Lady Blue.* 1975* peace time traveler.
Also, I am a retired Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who worked with juveniles who were pending transfer once they turned 18 due to most had adult criminal felony murder convictions or gang related felonies. Anyway, the largest population was from Oklahoma, Las Vegas and Massachusetts. One girl who'd just turned 18 was driving drunk and hit/killed a family of 5. She was a Native American which at the time a battle ensued where to send her. Texas has Mountaintop a General Pop facility known for violence. Private prison was hopeful for most.
You mentioned the 10 years probation when the manslaughter drunk gets once out, she'll never make it. That's purposeful and a setup.

Lamont here are a few more Leon Russell wrote for other people just thought you may like this info
He played on hit records by The Byrds, The Beach Boys, Herb Alpert and The Tijuana Brass, The Monkees, The Ronettes and many others. He played on and arranged the number one hit, This Diamond Ring, for Gary Lewis and The Playboys in 1965 and co-wrote Everybody Loves A Clown and She's Just My Style.

I don’t know where my maternal grandmother or grandfather are buried, my mother use to talk to me about them all the time but I have no idea where they are. They died when I was a young child, I’m now sixty but I don’t know where they are, I was never told & both my parents are long dead.

I really enjoyed the format of this video, more than just a focus on one interesting person or case, but some insight into the people we would normally just walk past and not think of again. Thank you for the homework that this required! If there isn't more of the story on the headstone or a photo, it's so easy to keep moving.

Lamont, Leon Russell played at Woodstock and was likely of the generation before you. I went to all of his concerts over decades when he came near my hometown and he was one of the few musicians whose live performance was equally as good as his studio recordings. Yes, he was one of Phil Specters studio musician, and Russell was one of Specters top choices in spite of their personality difference, because Specter knew how talented Russell was.
Look up "Delta Lady" one of his best, written for Rita Coolidge, ex wife of Kris Kristofferson. Although he recorded few solo albums his catalog is full of some great music!

Thanks for another great episode. This cemetery is so huge, probably the largest non-military cemetery I've been to, that finding any kind of grave is like a needle in a haystack. The staff at the building are very helpful that they'll find any person for you. I've been to a couple of the graves you were at in this episode plus Sam Kinison's, which I know you did in another episode. I was trying to find Bob Wills' grave but that one was difficult to find. Very touching stories you've told in this episode about the innocent that were killed.
