A spellbinding performance, especially well-thought-out, with particular attention to the score. A refreshing, new take on an eternal classic in a minefield of mediocrity. Bravissimo Maestro Herbert Schuch!
The Fantasie in C major, Op.15 (D. 760), popularly known as the Wanderer Fantasy, is a four-movement fantasy for solo piano composed by Franz Schubert in 1822. It is widely considered Schubert's most technically demanding composition for this instrument. In a ironic way, Schubert himself said "the devil may play it" in reference to his own inability to do so properly.
I personally think that his voice of piano is amazing and clear, which decently shows the message as if each word were literally sounded, thank you so much!
Beneath Andras Schiffs Interpretation this is my favorite Interpretation of this outstanding composition. Its such true music and absolutely played well and adequate considering the meaning of this piece and wanderer-topos. Thank you for sharing it!
55 years ago I had practiced this, yes I remember how long it took until I had memorized it and the accuracy of the upper tones had to get out. Everything was good, but then once carved next to it and everything was broken. Long you have to practice it. Let's see where the notes are left to try and what is left still hanging.

Un Schubert tel qu´on se le represente et servi par un pianiste tout en sensibilité. Très beau, Bravo. Mérite d´être plus connu.

Et j'aime beaucoup le son "steinway" des descentes rapides (11mn12s): son très cristallin...

This one for the sound of the steinway and Schiff for the Boesendorfer. Like both.

Isn't it bad for your back to sit so high up?
Unerhörte Musikalität!!!!
Quite Standard...
"Standard" could not be wider off the mark ...
This fine pianist has the patience and honesty required, but does not quite get inside this piece.
