Schubert basa tutta la sua composizione sul tema dell' omonimo Lied "Der Wanderer" e così anticipa la "sonata ciclica" di Franck! È il capolavoro di un genio scomparso troppo giovane. Oggi un giovanissimo interprete è in grado elevatissimo di penetrare in questo pezzo con una profonda maturità e ci lascia sbalorditi per la sua incredibile tecnica , talento e straordinario virtuosismo che è patrimonio di pochi eletti. Schubert ,se potesse udire questa prodigiosa interpretazione, si inchinerebbe al suo interprete!😮😮😮😊
Pure genius. I've never heard anybody playing the Fantasie like this, without any detail being drowned out as usual. Could also say: I've heard it for the first time. Transported into a mood of absolute bliss.
I saw Alexandre Kantorow play this live just this past Sunday (October 22, 2023) at Carnegie Hall. Amazing use of rubato! Probably my favorite interpretation of one of my favorite pieces.
Così come fece Beethoven nel finale della Sonata op.110, anche Schubert trasforma il tema in una "fuga". Entrambi, consciamente, o inconsciamente, rendono omaggio al grande Bach. A. Kantorow sicuramente lo ha capito. Ringraziamo Dio o Madre Natura per averci dato questo genio del pianoforte! 😮😊
Un talent incroyable, proche de celui de Jeanne-Marie Darré. Alexandre Katorow est à mon avis un des rares pianistes qui aime son piano et le respecte ; en découle un instrument qui chante par ses mains et son âme. Toujours magnifique à entendre. Bravo
Fantaisie … la seule à avoir été publiée de son vivant d’ailleurs? Et n’avait-t-il pas dit à son propos : « Das Zeug soll der Teufel spielen » alors le diable 😅sans doute un peu pour notre bonheur … et le votre un peu quand même 😅. Belle route ! Je dirais plutôt, au promeneur 🍃🍃🍃👏MERCI🎈🎼
Great version! A bit too “romantic” for my taste. Still prefer Sviatoslav Richter’s “architectural” approach that kind of reveals the logic of the entire piece, instead of producing nice melodies here and there (basically what everyone else does)
