I agree, hence why I am using the Timemore and the Maxus as well =]. But if I have the extra cash to burn, the Acaia is a pleasure to use. I just can't tell everyone to go out and get one due to the price.
@@XICups I also heard you mention in a video that your house drinks a lots of tea which is awesome! I’ve been brewing coffee at home for a few years now but just in the last year or so started getting really into various Japanese and Chinese teas as well. Do you drink a lot of tea yourself? Any plans for content?
Yeah! I am actually trying to organize some material to talk about traditional Chinese teas. Are there anything that you would be interested in learning in particular?
Interesting... around 5:00 the Acaia is weighing the 100g at about 100.0 to 100.1. The Maxus is steady at 100.0; 5:05. The BlackMirror (Original) was slow to adjust to its final weight of 100.1. Then around 5:25 it is mentioned that when weight is applied to the table the Acaia shows a change which is to demonstrate its sensitivity. THAT, is suspect because it will be hard to get an accurate reading if you're bouncing around in the kitchen. But I did notice that the other two scales didn't change at all! Personally, I think this is more reasonable because no additional weight is being applied to the scale. Just my opinion...
This might be because only the Acaia can read to 0.01 instead of just 0.1. It's sensitive enough to detect an in-between, but just doesn't show the hundredths.
It's a common effect with recording displays with a (relatively) low frame rate. The display emits light at a rate that the human eye will perceive it as constant light, but a high precision camera will catch frames without light. Remember the flickering when filming old TVs? It looks all good for a human eye though.
.Sorry, given the accuracy of digital scales, a vivid large display is essential. I thought the Acaia has the worst display of the three - small, not bright and flickering all the time. For a count down while brewing - a scale this price should have a better display!
Honestly in person it isn't as bad as it might seem on recording, especially with the flickering, which only shows up in video. With that said, both this and the Timemore's display is pretty adequate for their intended purpose in my opinion.
I have tried both, honestly no preference unless if you have a theme going on with your gears. Though I gotta say the black display against the white unit can be a bit jarring, would have preferred a uniformed white unit. Just my opinion though.
For the money the cheaper options are well worth it! I have the Timemore and Maxus because of your earlier videos and they are great!

Cool channel man! Waiting on my Black Mirror to arrive and your videos helped make my decision!
Thank you for saying that =] I wanted to make videos that I wish I had access to when I first started, so hearing this from you really means a lot.

Haha thanks man, really appreciate the support!
I love my Acaia scale! Definitely worth all the money.

Is this horrible flickering of the Lunar normal, or maybe just low battery?

@@wtho thank you
Late to the party, but yes in person, you wouldn't be able to see it in person.
liking your videos. subscribed!
Welcome aboard! Thank you for the assuring words.
Good video dude, keep doing more
great video, thanks :-) but terrible ant too loud background "music"
Stop using background music please 🙏
Is it also possible to start the timer manual?
Yes, there is an option to do that on both the Timemore and the Acaia.
can you do a review on the Nano

I'd recommend turning off the background music during the main video. Doesn't make for a pleasant listening experience
Thanks for the feedback. will keep that in mind.
yeah completely agree.
Timemore 👍👍
White lunar look cheap but the black version look more luxury🙂
I think it will be up to the individual's preference. The white unit definitely does not feel cheap in the hand.
@@XICupsfirst i bought white then turn to black😂

@@XICups yes my theme gears go white😁 but never mind to have a black lunar. Cause i have white pearl s one❤️❤️
If you got the money they can customize your scale for 10k if you wish and there are still lots of people out there keen to buy it. Lol……
