1 additional area for improvement I would add is that it would have been great if Timemore included some kind of dust cover for the USB port. Inevitably this scale will be around liquid a lot, and it seems it would be really easy to get water in the port.
That's an excellent point. Though fortunately to date, I have not had an issue with the port, but I can see that being a concern if it's constantly exposed to a lot of moisture. Though to be fair the Acaia doesn't have a cover on the charging port either, and it stands up to the everyday abuse of a commercial environment.
I’ve had mine for over a year using it for pour overs and espresso shots. I haven’t noticed any water getting near the port, maybe because the scale is on the bigger side.
I never desired to invest on another scale ever since I got the Timemore Black mirror Pro simply bcoz of the fact that its features is way enough for me to make a nice cup of coffee

I have a breville machine aswell. Is that scale too big? Seems like it wont fit on the tray of the breville. Does the whole scale have to be on a flat surface?

I didn't understand what it was, now it seems like a must-have, great function. A few questions please, if you'd be so kind. Can you put a portafilter on the silicon mat to weigh it? Or do you need to remove the mat, put the portafilter directly on the bare plastic, then put the mat back on before moving the scale to on top of the drip tray to measure your shot output? Can the silicon mat fit the feet of a Clever Dripper (~10.5cm diameter) with enough room to spare so it's not on the edge? The Clever has to brew directly on the scale, putting it on top of a cup or pitcher opens the drip hole letting it through the filter. Can you permanently turn off the beeps or have to hold down the timer button every single time? (In which case how would you press the timer button to start timing?) Does it auto tare or how does it know when to, if there's no such button? This is the first I'm considering buying so expensive a scale. (I was thinking about a Hario for ~$45 on Amazon or an ExoGram for $35) You're a good salesman.
Sorry about the delayed response. In case if you have not received an answer for this, no it does not auto stop. However if it notice a disturbance in weight (like if you were to remove the carafe) it will pause the timer.

However the scale will stop the timer if it senses weight removed from it. Are you aware of a way to turn that feature off? For example if I do a swirl, it's often enough to stop the timer. I've seen foreign language videos where it seems like that's not the case for them, so I'm thinking there may be a different version unit out there, or perhaps I'm missing something. Honestly the timer has only stopped for me once (with a long beep) when I removed the weight, I couldn't get my unit to replicate the problem since then. Normally the timer would continue to keep running if I remove the carafe. I did some search and found this reddit page that might be helpful www.reddit.com/r/Coffee/comments/mmut5m/timemore_black_mirror_issues/ it seems that this "issue" will only exist in auto mode. If I am not mistaken its the one with the Bluetooth app capability. Basically it will log all of your pour times and weights and allow you to notate things down about that specific pour. Personally I don't find it to be necessary, but it's a personal preference.

Is it possible to set the timer so it will beep at 4 minutes? I like to brew French press. I saw a scale called Hero on Amazon and it has a countdown timer. I don’t see any reviews on UA-cam for this Hero scale. I’m trying to decide between the Hero and the black mirror scale.
Yes, as @bonk stated. Unfortunately it will not beep when it reaches a preset weight/time. The Hero scale seems to have a higher weight capacity at 5000 grams, as for the beeping, it will beep every minute, so not exactly at a preset time either. Though it's actually a quite good looking scale as well, I might give it a try once I save up some more funds.
TLDR; Product lasted 5 months, customer service does not even reply. I purchased the Timemore Pro scale. Living in Germany, there is basically no customer service for this product. I would never buy Timemore again. I am posting this under every review of this product.
I sell my timeMore nano … the lunar is more better .. better interface , better flowRate … And the taste on the side … side buttons are annoying The lunar is expensive, but the best
The Timemore is garbage. Mine became completely uncalibrated (and unusable) after only 2 months. Then, to add insult to the injury, Timemore ignored my emails about the issue and the scale is now an unusable piece of junk cluttering up one of my kitchen drawers.

I am currently testing the basic plus, I am not a big fan of the scale apps so I don't really use them. This includes the Acaia app as well.
Can anyone tell me if its water resistant? I dont expext water proof but resistance would be nice

When that happens to me, I usually just tap the timer button again and the timer resumes

Bought the plus version. It has an on/off switch and the on/off and timer buttons are engraved onto it.
