Mat, England is one of the most fascinating places for me. This includes the English. Wonderful people. Each program transports me to this magnificent country, despite not having known the countryside. Thank you.
Haha...Mat, I took a trip down memory lane with some of your earlier videos on the farm...Still brilliant to watch...Great job, and well watching again and again over the years! Cheers, Mark
Mat as always great content. I watch all your videos and the information you given me has helped me get back into shooting again. I have got myself an air arms s510 super lite
Matt, Great vid's and explanation, you give during your 'cleaning' activities, and thumbs up for your camera man! You're a winning team! Keep up the promotion, work too!
fantastic video yet again. I bought my Daystate Wolverine c type from Air Gun Centre, absolutely Love it . look forward to seeing your next Video mate. 🖒
Another good show, Mat, I'd like to see the night time video on those elusive rats. Good shooting ! Also, I have been shopping around for another air rifle, and this is the first review I've seen for the Cometa rifles. Thanks for this.
Great show, thanks. That Cometa isn' the best looking gun, to say the least. Also, when you "fire" it, the bold is moving quite a lot...I guess you get what you pay for.
I would off had camo netting draping over gate with me behind with a fue decoys placed on the floor below the trees with some seed round the decoy or decoys
I have talked to you upon occasion and I hope you know how much I truly love your show. I was first surprised that England still allowed any hunting at all. Although, I do't have an airgun and that type of hunting is not really necessary here in the U.S. I never ever miss one of your shows. My question is just one of curiosity and I was wondering if you ever go hunting for deer or fox or any other larger game where you have to use a regular gun like a .243 or.22lr or somethig like that. Thanks for the show and keep them coming. My favorites are the squirrel hunting.
It's just the way I shoot. When you concentrate on the scope image through your right eye, it takes over from what you'd expect to see through your left eye, so you only really see the sight picture. Give it a try. All the best. Mat
The feral pigeons are taken with head shots in this video. The collared doves are shot either in the head or between the shoulders from behind - which offers a relatively clear route to the heart and lung area. All the best. Mat
Great show! The S510 sounds like it's got a fair old bark to it. Also the Cometa, you have to move away from the gun to cycle the mag, almost defeats the object of a multi-shot bolt action. Do you think this would be an issue for a fast follow up shot while hunting?
Thanks The rats were very close - less than 10 metres. At that range the pellet was still below the line of sight, so the shot needed holdover - looks like I gave it too much... All the best Mat
+theshootingshow thanks mat, I thought you were close, that's why the hold over. I'm pretty new to this sport and I'm learning so much from your videos. Thank you so much. 👍🏼
where could I get an a airgun like that?? I just got a pump action that can still get me some fair amount of birds and rats but its not quite powerful enough for me
you defiantly have my subscription love what you did with your channel. would like to have your support as well, keep up the great work love your editing skills ..... thanks again or sharing :)
nice shooting on the pigeons and doves Mat. I've noticed you seem to prefer using the AA510 when around the farm buildings is it because the .177 has a flatter trajectory or do you feel it safer than using your FAC MK4? surely it can't be an accuracy thing. btw what pellets were you using? /simon
Hi Simon Yes, I tend to stick with legal limit guns when shooting around buildings and livestock - though I'll occasionally reach for the Mk4 and wind down the power. Ammo of choice for both guns at present is Air Arms Diabolo Field. All the best. Mat
Love your Airgun Show videos especially the product reviews at the end. I'm wondering what your name is and if you are contracted by any specific gun manufacture. You seem to review a lot of different gun models so my guess is no.
+theshootingshow how do you stop the cheep sound I know it's marked at a good comptative price and it looks very nice but from the sound it come across as a very cheep gun
indeed it does it sounds like one of my old gun from my 6 year old times u know the plastic gun every kid gets? and that sound is so bad i wouldn't even use it...
You need to work on your gun safety. You should not be sitting with your finger anywhere near the trigger of a cocked and loaded rifle. Gun safety should always be paramount.
Phil Nugent-Box Mods I'm assuming you American but the fact you associate different ways of life with one of your 2 political parties. Our government is quite fair with guns actually we just aren't a fan of school shootings so we keep it regulated

Sometimes I cannot believe this type of show exists... It's brilliant
love from Pakistan

Enjoyable video, thanks SteveK
Matt,
Great vid's and explanation, you give during your 'cleaning' activities, and thumbs up for your camera man! You're a winning team! Keep up the promotion, work too!
HI Mat. Great show as usual. Your shooting keeps getting better and better, but Nikki's camera work is getting even better than your shooting!!
fantastic video yet again. I bought my Daystate Wolverine c type from Air Gun Centre, absolutely Love it . look forward to seeing your next Video mate. 🖒
Excellent shooting
Eye protection is highly recommended when shooting around things that a pellet can ricochet off of
Another good show, Mat, I'd like to see the night time video on those elusive rats. Good shooting !

Thanks Reg.
We've been very impressed with the new Cometa air rifles. The one we reviewed a few weeks ago is also worth a look.
Cheers. Mat
wish you had a scope cam.
Great show, thanks. That Cometa isn' the best looking gun, to say the least. Also, when you "fire" it, the bold is moving quite a lot...I guess you get what you pay for.

Are collared doves classified as a pest species?
Why and how do you sometimes use both eyes for looking through your scope ?
It's just the way I shoot. When you concentrate on the scope image through your right eye, it takes over from what you'd expect to see through your left eye, so you only really see the sight picture. Give it a try.
All the best. Mat
great vid selection keep them cross hairs on the bulls eye keep posting more great vids.
Hi Matt, Where are you aiming for on the Pigeons / Doves ? Can't really tell from the video. Thanks & great shooting as always!
The feral pigeons are taken with head shots in this video. The collared doves are shot either in the head or between the shoulders from behind - which offers a relatively clear route to the heart and lung area.

+theshootingshow thanks! what range are you shooting from and are you using FAC?
Great show! The S510 sounds like it's got a fair old bark to it.

How'd they get Michel Webb to agree to do the Airgun News voiceover?
Can you eat feral pigeons? My grandad used to. He'd put bait down at the Liverpool docks and kill the birds by throwing stones.
Yes cook it
11:27 Cows...... 11:35 no cows.... sorcery
Magic

I use the ruger Blackhawk elite it's very accurate and powerful killed a turky vulture with one lung shot

Hi Terry. It's legal limit - turning out just over 11ft/lb.
All the best. Mat

Hi Matt, you mentioned hold over when you were after the rats. What distance were you from them? Great video btw. 👍🏼
Thanks
The rats were very close - less than 10 metres. At that range the pellet was still below the line of sight, so the shot needed holdover - looks like I gave it too much...

+theshootingshow Great gun Mat thanks for the reply
Are feral pigeons really a pest out there? I'm curious what kind of nuisance they are and what damages they cause?
They poo in the food of the cattle and in the water, since they're nesting right above it. They bring deseases from one farm to another.
Love your Airgun Show videos especially the product reviews at the end. I'm wondering what your name is and if you are contracted by any specific gun manufacture. You seem to review a lot of different gun models so my guess is no.
Wallace ?
I like the look of the orion but it sounds cheep
Hi Matthew. The Orion BP is low-priced compared with a lot of bullpups out there but it's certainly a decent gun for the money.
+theshootingshow
how do you stop the cheep sound I know it's marked at a good comptative price and it looks very nice but from the sound it come across as a very cheep gun
theshootingshow h
indeed it does it sounds like one of my old gun from my 6 year old times u know the plastic gun every kid gets? and that sound is so bad i wouldn't even use it...
Why shoot doves ?

Thanks for the words of encouragement Darran...
All the best. Mat
Nice video :)
You need a satchel for your kills
smear peanut butter over were you seen the rat and get back about 20m rats love peanut butter and they haveto work at it
Watch Cracking Breakfast by Spencer Owens
Enjoyable
It's a wood pigeon not a collared dove
You do realize it is not dove season and that is considered poaching
many places is if its on your own land that doesnt apply. Public lands are where you need a lisc and has to be in season.
Collared doves are vermin by law and therefore they are always in season.
Do one on coyotes
Joe Rixson you want to be ashamed with your horrible Comment, you make me Sick 😠
My head shots are gruesome the pigeons head literally explode
