What a beautiful story you have shared with us, your mother’s blanket. I can feel the comfort it gave you. When my daughter was in first grade and felt afraid or lonely, i gave her my special pencil for her to hold. I told her it would make her feel connected with me. And it worked.
She and I have since traveled to Paris or Italy several times and we have our own special memories from those times.
I think you mentioned NJ as your home port. I live in Cape May NJ with my rescue Frenchie Gigi.
You’re an amazing person with strength. I had been planning to go on an exploratory trip to see a few houses in southwest Brittany, Saint -Mathieu and Rochechouart to see the house, their realist personalities including the villages where they are located and accessibility to essential services, resources and community.
I postponed it because of an acute sinus infection and hip arthritis. Im recovering from both and I am planning on going sometime after the new year.
Please keep strong. All my best, Joseph.

Ah, thanks. Yes. My security blanket still gives me comfort. I was raised in Willingboro, so not terribly far from where you are. Timing is everything. There is a reason you had to postpone. I hope you find what you are looking for in Brittany. I've not yet been, but people who have seem to truly love it. Perhaps next year I'll make a trip there.

These tips are extremely helpful as I think ahead about moving abroad. I am particularly drawn to the tip of spirituality, feeling and trusting that all will be ok. Also, the ‘support’ tip is very important to me, being in a new land.
Thank you Patricia, for sharing your experiences.❤

So glad these are helpful. Yes, getting to a place within yourself where you "know" things will work out is so liberating. Challenging, but life changing. Thanks for your comment and for watching.

That's a beautiful story about the caring and tending that the waitress showed to you. Love that you incorporated that into your own little ritual. Those are the types of experiences I crave the most! Thanks for sharing and encouraging me.

Wonderful. And I am getting better in French. I've been reading more in French and though it is slow going at times, I think it helps the French seep into my brain. Keep on learning!
