No way bro!!! What a head ache i got tryin to turn that damn light off. And finally i got it off with out spending monet at all. It worked on mu corolla 2016 1.8 manual. Thanks bro!
This worked on my 2012 Camry XLE Hybrid that had the traction control light on solid after towing the car with the engine running (battery was dead). Then replaced the battery and the light was still on. Used the same pin out on the OBD, pressed the button to on twice (without my foot on the brake), then pressed the brake 8 times. The lights started flashing, and kept flashing for like 30 seconds and didn't stop. Then I turned off the ignition, removed the wire, and started it. Viola! The light is off!! THANK YOU
i went to get wheel alignment done yeseterday and vsc light still showing solid light. followed your step and it worked. omg i cant describe how happy i am ty
Appreciate the video, worked on my 2011 Tundra. I replaced the rack and pinion and this traction light came on, after a few hours of research I found your video.
My 2014 corolla abs and traction light are both on together. This happened a couple years ago, but I don't remember what I did to turn it off. Fluid is up and battery disconnect didn't solve it.
2016 corolla s 1.8l. Changed cv axel and tie rods inner and outer. I adjusted alignment up wrong on driver side tie rod and threw traction light. Got alignment done and this reset my light.
I did a old trick and turn the switch until the lights come on but DONT turn the car on. Then pump the gas pedal 3 times and wait a couple of seconds then turn the car on and that should work it did for me. This removes the abs and brake light...
It works!! I tried it on my 2011. After pumping the brakes 8 times I waited a few seconds, took the wire out and took the key out , finally put the key back in and turned on the car. Thank you, Stefen!!
@@hopeekechukwu7019 try replacing the gas cap completely too. Those gas caps have like springs inside them and you’re only suppose to turn click them at least one turn click. That’s what I did with mine I got a brand new gas cap and did the pin method and it worked for me.
@@asilaydying672 Actually the problem with my Toyota Corolla 2012 was a bad fuel pump. Once I replaced it, the check engine/track off stopped displaying.
@@hopeekechukwu7019 yeah usually when you drive around with low fuel levels that’s what happens with bad fuel pumps because your gas you put in still is dirty regardless so your pump gets the dirty stuff if you drive around with a bad fuel pump. So always keep your gas full and you should try a product called BG 4K for your fuel system. It’s pricey but good stuff. And use BG MOA with your oil. Highly recommend. Just optional stuff though sir. Have a good day sir
Will the traction control system still work after this? I mean if you push the traction control button will it activate or deactivate it and the indicator light still appear on and off in the dash?
I have a prius 2012 and it has hard stearing but no errors or lights and it feels bad driving, also it forces to go left even i have done alignment, should i do this method?
So this worked for me like 8 months ago and everything went away then came back like a month later. Revisited the video and now it’s not working for me any idea why ?
Just follow everything. And don’t turn the car on completely. Do everything and when the lights start flashing it should go off on it’s on. And when that happens you can safely turn the car off and remove the metal pin. Make sure they’re on the right ones or you’ll end up shortening something out. Good luck👍
Hi bro, you are reading your dlc wrong way, In your car the upper left most pin is number 1, the last one is number 8. the lower left pin is number 9 and the last lower right most is the pin number 16. Thanks.
Maybe try changing out your speed sensor? You’ll have to take the wheel off it’s a simple fix. And you can try it again. First of all what lights came on?
I followed this video and it worked my CG is 4 and the TC is 13. However lights disappeared but once I went to test drive it the check engine light and traction light came back on. I desperately need help. I replaced my speed sensor and my brake light switch. I'm defeated. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
@@adrew1963 I was able to fix it, I replaced my speed sensor and brake light switch. However that was not the problem. The wires from the speed sensor were chewed by a squirrel or rat. They chewed 4 inches of wire. Once we replaced the wires and reset codes the lights went off and car shifts in gear. No issues,
@@adrew1963 Yes check engine light and traction light. But it's the wires coming from the speed sensor itself. So you need to trace it from the speed sensor on the transmission and up.
Did you try pressing hard on your brake pedal. Pressing hard on the brake pedal will make the traction light turn on. You just press firm all the way and hold…and to turn it on repeat the same press down firmly on break pedal and hold. There’s no need to pump the pedal. I discovered this because I like to push buttons to see what happens …🤓
