Thx! The push up to the saddle was strenuous. But once on the other side, I almost didn't notice any more since the DH was so thrilling. One of my best days on the bike all year!
@@outofshapemountainbikersne4243 trying to plan the route: www.trailforks.com/ridelog/planner/view/32127/ can a awd car be driven on Horse Meadow Road? or do I need to climb that 4 mile stretch before Horse Meadow trail?
Hey Man, a couple quick questions. I am looking for a place to park my car and to camp for the first night of my Mtn bikepacking trip. Think I can make it up horse meadow road with a sedan and sleep under the stars? As well as leave my car there for 2 days? I know how to drive off road, just dont have a tall vehicle, but have made it on mellow fire roads before. Thanks!
Alex Von der Mehden Alex Von der Mehden yes. Someone had parked their Mini Cooper at one of the campsites on the day I went through. The road is rough in spots but more in the large, soft rolling terrain kind of way. It’s not ledgey, rocky stuff. So any car driven slowly should make it easily. I was able to haul ass up that road in the truck and never needed 4x. I went back to that same spot the next day and they were still camped there, by the creek with a bitchin meadow. You should be golden.
Man that high altitude has got to be a killer if you are not used to it, cool vid!

thanks for the video, planning on the same route this weekend!
Enjoy. That was one of the best days I've had on a bike ever.

Stephen Mah in think any 4x vehicle can easily handle it. There was a Mini Cooper parked up there when I did it.
@@outofshapemountainbikersne4243 thank you!
@@StephenMah360 You are welcome. That's a fun ride. And even though that hike up is steep AF, its freaking beautiful the whole way.
