My husband the same surgery you will be having. except he has server Scoliosis and he said it was the best thing he has every done! he was able to come home 3 days later and started physical therapy 2 weeks after, you will do fine and feel so much better !

Welcome back. I am a Medical Laboratory Scientist and I can say with some confidence that your pneumococcal vaccine was mostly like not an attenuated vaccine. Meaning it did not contain any live pathogen. 99% of the time, pneumococcal vaccines are completely inactive. There are other vaccines that are attenuated so I can see where you may have been wondering. I'm praying you get better soon. I have had 2 cervical fusions and trying to avoid lumbar fusions. I wish you well.
I've had two cervical fusion surgeries and 2 lumbar fusion surgeries.. real bad arthritis in my back and I keep breaking pieces off and ends up pinching nerves.. I'm 71 now and had the last lumbar fusion when I was 69 yrs old... it's not as bad as people think.. follow the Dr.'s directions to a T and you'll be fine.. it sure beats being in a wheel chair the rest of my life and that's where I was headed..
@evansdeb I'm very well on my way there too. I'm 44. Had my 1st surgery at 36. My spine is "un zipping" slowly. Looks like my next surgery may very well be an SI joint fusion.
Ouch, I’ve had 3 spinal surgeries myself. First surgery fusion failed so they did bone transplant in lower lumbar. 3rd surgery in cervical area. They all were in 1980’s. Been some years back. I’m also 71 now fighting the thought of more surgeries coming up. It’s tuff, but hang in there people, we got this.

Praying that God holds you up and works to heal your mind, body, and soul. I met a cousin of yours a few years ago at a dinner. She is Denise Boone’s friend. She mentioned that we have a lot in common, card making and all. She didn’t quite understand how we can make so many cards, didn’t know what we do with them after we finish. I mentioned that I have a card business but I give far more away than sell. I’m sure you have similar thoughts, the more I create the happier I am.
