I think if you had stayed five more minutes at that first yard sale that that couple would have adopted you. He gave you stuff practically for free. And she want to feed you.😅
Lol, they were pretty great. 💜
That's the way us Southern women do.
Wish I could find some southern older dolks to adopt me LOL Moved when I got married 5 years ago, and still don't have any close friends in the area :/
I love how polite and respectful you are to people. That guy loved that you showed such interest in the knives ❤
You have the Southern hospitality down pat 😉
Great pickups!!
❤❤❤❤ just found your site. I already love it. You are polite and awesome to see. Newbie Anna from New Mexico. Where are you from--- if you don't mind me asking. # replay. Do you do lives
Omg the picnic basket you left it. It was So cute 😂
Just so you know, case knives have a lifetime warranty. My Dad messed one up when he was using it on electrical wires. Case replaced it for free. Also there is a what looks like a little eraser, it will erase the rust off the knife. It’s a possibility if theres a lot of gouges on the blades they will replace the knife. Check and see it might be worth doing so.
I love it when you say can’t beat that. My Grandpa used to say “can’t beat that with a stick”! Lol
It's really nice to see when you're kind to an elderly gentleman like that. This was nice. Nice knives too.
I’m totally hooked on watching you thrift. Love your kindness and gentleness with everything you picked up. Great eyes for cool items!
The gentleman ($1 house) was such a sweet guy! Kayla, you did so good! Take care darling xx
They were the sweetest!! Wish I could adopt some grandparents 😂
Kayla, you scored on the Case knives, and probably should have picked up the rest of the vintage ones, but you still scored. No harm in being conservative when your‘e out of your wheelhouse. As far as the electricians knife, coat the rusted parts with WD-40 or better yet, an anti-corrosion lubricant. Let sit overnight, put on some gloves, and use fine steel wool or crumpled up piece of aluminum foil (or some very fine grit sandpaper), and rub the rust right out of the metal. I use this technique on my personal knives and also my resale knives. Awesome vid! 👍🏽🤙🏽🙏🏽
Great idea
I loved that man. He was such a sweetheart. So was his wife. A warm scone, yum!
I just love coming across people like you came across at that sale that are so down to earth that they can give you food out of their kitchen. What a great hall!
Yes!!! These are the folks you just don’t forget ❤
Case knives are made by Zippo lighter company near Bradford PA. We have a camp not too far from there. My father-in-law was a security guard there in the early 80’s (I think). Needless to say we have a lot of lighters and Case knives. 😊
That first couple was the sweetest! 🥰
Sweet people at your first stop! Amazing finds.
I love the people who just want to get rid of stuff. Those are the best.
The first stop the couple were such sweethearts and you were so sweet just talking with them. They probably won’t forget how sweet you were and appreciated your visit. The gentleman was genuine to you about the knives!
The first couple were so sweet!! I could sit and talk to them all day!!! ❤
Love your u-tube show! Have been watching for years and have never been disappointed. Thanks to you for the amazing show and I know things are going to be great for you! Thanks!
Kayla, you sure have a good eye for scoring higher ticket items. You rock!!
Thank you so much 🙏
The biggest thrift find I have ever found was at one of the Goodwills in Lex. I love it up there.
Hi, former reseller here & just relocated to IL from western KY. Your accent is making me homesick!
The dollar man was so sweet and then he brings out all those knives😅
My jaw dropped when he opened that first box of knives. So many good knives.
You bring out the best in people with your great personality!
Oh that silverware box when checking out. Good money in that.
You are a very charming young lady, & very respectful in how you talk. I know that older gentleman enjoyed having you at his sale.
This girl knows her shit! And she's not bad to look at
My wife's uncle used to be a window display artist for Christopher Radko, those ornaments are so cool!
Oh, the knives! "I just run across them." Best quote ever! My brother recently passed, and we had to clear out his place. We found more knives than is possible for a single human to have! I wish I knew more about them. He collected very nice things, but the knives gave us the heebie-jeebies, so we let them all go. I so love your videos--THANK YOU!
That bigger black Case knife was the pocket knife my Daddy carried every day of his life. Wore the blade completely down.
Completely forgot about it until I saw that knife in your vid.
Hi, Kayla. I have a Breyer value guide book from the 2000's. It was the last one ever published and it lists every Breyer ever made, their model numbers, names, breeds and an estimated value of each one at the time the book was published. I started collecting Breyers when I was 8 years old. (I'm 53 now.) I no longer have my collection, but I still buy and sell Breyers when I come across them - which is rarely. Anyway, I'd be happy to offer any help that I can if you should have any questions. Good score on that holiday edition! And FYI, Breyer made animals other than horses. They made deer, bears, bison, bulls and lots of others. They also made the horses in different sizes like the smaller Stablemates and Paddock Pals.
Love your energy. I just stumbled across your channel…I’m so glad. Great video. I’ll be binge watching you this weekend. Thanks for making my day.
I think the man is giving you some sweet deals!
No kidding, he was giving it away
The dollar sale everyone dreams of! Amazing!! I'm learning so much from you. Thanks Kayla!😊
I'm so glad! Thanks so much for watching!!
You know your stuff and your fast with your purchasing. Love your accent girl.
There’s something oddly comforting about watching you pick things up! You have pretty hands!
I agree! Her hands are feminine, but she has a nice firm grip or hold.
@@Lucinda_Jacksonthe polish is really pretty too!
i was looking in the comments to see if anyone else thought this. she has such pretty hands and at the same time so elegant and dexterous
Funny story, you said sorry about the helicopter and a helicopter was going over me too...haha Great pickup on the Breyer!
Great finds today! Hmmm, my husband has a turkey call like that. He may find it missing this fall. 🤣🤣
I absolutely love your videos, not only for the content but on how you handle yourself.
I really appreciate that! Thank you
Any Hunting item good condition Sales very Well.
U know your Stuff Girl love U Stay Well @ don’t let
No one Stop You UR a wonderful person and a great mom.
The part of this video at approx 32 min mark with the garage door open and the sunlight on your face..... with all due respect your eyes are frickin BEAUTIFUL. The rest of the video is very good as well but that is the first time I have seen your face / eyes in that light and it really shows off your beauty. Have a great day
I just love watching you , 1 day a week is not enough. I need more , i just cant wait till thursdays to see what you have picked up . See you next Thursday . Great pickings girl !
You might be in for a surprise coming soon then ;). Thank you so much Cheryl!!
@@nunyabusiness1773 she doesn’t watch our exes, silly. she watches Matt and I 👌
Kayla - Christopher Radko ornaments have a Christmas tree shaped "loop" at top with a tiny gold disc attached. Look for that little round disc.
Kayla, I wish I knew as much about pricing items as you do. I am downsizing the stuff I own to help my kids out when I'm gone. I plan to sell items I've had since 1970 which is the year my husband and I got married. When we had our self storage business, we also had a thrift store. It would amaze me how many times survivors would come in to either sell me trucks full of mama's stuff or they would would rent storage units to put stuff in then never pay the rent and leave it to me to get rid of. I don't want to do that with my kids.
If you get 0000 steal wool it won't scratch the knifes. It will take off rust or takes off the pitting..
I would call that "Earned Luck." It is earned through hard work and experience. ❤
buy all case knives with blades for $10 they can be big money if there pre 1980 they have a lifetime warrantee if there broke they will replace the blades
I went to a thrift store yesterday just to get my mom out of her house. I wasn’t necessarily sourcing as I don’t need items to list ~ I have an abundance. Low and behold ~ at this local thrift store on the Christmas shelves was a Christopher Radko Aflac duck Christmas ornament!! I paid .99 for it!! Yes please!!
I was talking to you when you first picked up the Christopher Radko ornaments. I have several dating back quite a few years. Love watching you and Matt both. Keep up the great videos!!!❤
I knew Spring Inn. I'm from South Suburbs of Chicago. But we went to Lexington every Summer for the junior league horse shows. We have Standard Harness racing horses. But my dad came for the auction.
Kayla, this is my first time ever watching one of your videos. It just happen to play right after another reseller video that I was watching.
I just want to say you rock. You work a yard sale like I work a liquidation store. I don’t know the value of toys, ornaments and knives because my niche is clothing and shoes. But I really enjoyed watching you work your magic. I can’t wait to watch another one of your videos.
Kayla, I had a set of SIX vintage NAPCO japan gorgeous mini ceramic Christmas figurines… the set was worth quite a bit and rare to have a big set…. I listed and it got followers quickly…. My daughters got a hold of them and ruined them 😖 Those are beautiful ornaments you found!
The snowman ornament is a Cristopher Radco! Very expensive! Love them! ❤️
Regarding Knife's, a pawn shop would not buy any knives that had been sharpened. So I use that as a rule to only buy new preferably in the box.
Not too cheesy! Love your content.❤
I've been buying and selling for over 45 years.... I'm generally not impressed but the new market is your specialty. Kudos 👏
No you didn’t sound pushy at all, Kayla! I have been subscribed for over a year now and always look forward to Thursdays to see all the treasures you find! You are so sweet and kind to everyone!❤️
Girl, you killed it on this one!!! Congratulations on your yard sale finds today. BTW you never sound cheesy - LOL!!! Keep on pickin.
Thanks Victor!! Appreciate you watching :)
Really great finds Kayla. Love, love, love the dollar guy. Fun video!
Thanks Gail!!
You are a killer buyer, you have the right demeanor. You don't push too hard and when the opportunities are rolling , you are rolling.
Did you mention the decoy from the dollar sale? You did the turkey calls but not the decoy.
The totals from the dollar sale was really good, that's what literally counts lol.
it's not luck Kayla it's your experience and you listening to the voice in the back of your head
which is what you should do. You're a smart cookie! 🍪 😉
Not cheesy at all. Enjoy learning from you. Thanks!
When looking at case knives stag handles bring a premium and age/condition. Google case date code you will find a chart. It’s easy to learn . I made a ton of money on case knives
Watching you pick is such a good education for us all. I love that you show us / tell us your thought process on the items. Oh and that couple was so kind and the warm fresh from the oven scone....yum!
They were the most precious pair ❤❤ thanks so much for watching pretty lady!!
Great finds! I love your positivity and friendliness. I'm originally from Kansas where everyone says hello. Now I'm in Florida where people look at you like you're from outer space when you say hello or hold the door for them. I miss that environment. Keep on keeping on, girl! 💙
We just moved out of Florida last year after living there for six years and came back to our home state of Kentucky, and I know exactly what you mean. There were, of course, some nice people, but there were enough not-so-nice that it made the air feel toxic at times. I miss the beach and the warmer winters, but there are a lot of things I don't miss.
I’m from Kansas also, I’m in South Georgia and people are friendly!
I'm subscribed, and I liked, and I love watching you and when you are with Matt it is even better. both of you are great on your own, together you are awesome. So happy for all the success you are having.
I loved the man at that first yard sale. He was so nice! The wife was as well. I love your videos! You get me excited and make me work harder!
Amazing scores at that first sale. I went to sell a girl a dress one time at her house. She wanted to try it on. She just made these huge homemade cinnamon rolls. She offered me one omg to die for lol not to mention the dress fit great and she loved it. So was a win win lol love the Lisa frank they always do really well
Just yesterday, I picked up a reference book for vintage/antique pocket knives for $2! Sold knives in the past, but there are so many variations that a solid reference book is almost essential to find their true value..
Wow I love those wind puzzles. When I was 4, we lived in okinawa which is a little island off of Japan . We have a maid and a so girl made all kinds of clothes.Fpress intermal need kept our home up Hot Zico and fumiko were their names. . They bought the wooden puzzles for our birthday when we turned five what memories you brought back.
Cheesy ?? You are far from it.
You’re wonderful, smart and such a down to earth inspirational person on this resellers business.
Keep doing what you’re doing. 🥰
I appreciate that so much!! Thank you 🙏
Laughing from Canada. And I had 14 turkeys in my front yard for half of winter. When the snow melted I had a well fertilized lawn.
I think you charmed the guy with the turkey calls.
What a great day you had plus breakfast. Once a week is just enough!!!
What great finds today! Way to go Kayla! My favorite from the $1 sale the turkey decoy -comps for $66 ??? Never would have guessed that much. What a score!
You know it’s going to be good when right away Kayla says, “I’m just going to make myself a little pile…”😊 Kayla you have such a great eye for a wide variety of items-I learn so much from you!
Absolutely she is awsome. I'm going garage sales now.😊😊
Thank you Kimberly!! Gotta love a little pile 😂
Man! I need to go down to Kentucky. Y'all have the best yard sales.
@27:05 I had that mother goose toy when I was little! I’d forgotten, but when I saw it a whole wave of nostalgia washed over me!
Make sure to do the 127 yard sale Kayla!!!! I’m going to be working in a junk store right before you get into Liberty. If you come by, I’ll trade you a 9” Pampered Chef dish for the Tupperware canisters.
Look forward to your videos every week..❤
Kayla, I watch quite a few of this type video and you are the absolute BEST!😊
Christopher Radko can bring in some really decent prices on the ornaments, especially when you grab them for one dollar! My kiddo is adopted so I’ve purchased many adoption, Christopher Radko ornaments and they sell for very high prices
The first guy/seller/family seemed so sweet!! 😊🙌🏻
You’re so cute!!! And you and Matt…….melt my heart!!! ❤
You can tell where you are at, everyone is friendly,I'm here in California and people aren't that nice.
Kayla another great video this week ❤ You are such a joy & a pleasure to watch each & every week 😊 Your kindness caring & respect for others particularly the elderly makes you so beautiful inside & out 🌹 Im so glad I came across you this past year & subscribed 🤘 The bonus was you sending me to Matt 😎 When ever the two of you are together is the icing or the cherry on top 😇💙
I'm learning so much from you. You are a gem!
You did good! Loved the yard saleing with you. There was lots of goodies to be had. Thanks for taking us along!
Don't know what you did to your hair , but I love it! Looks good on you!!!
Kayla, you did great at those yard sales. Your so knowledgeable. The first one you were at, they were so sweet and man his collection was so neat. What a score and I’ve never has a sconce either. Thank you for the comps. So educational!
Thank you so much Sara!
The scone was almost like a biscuit with chocolate chips inside. Was yummy!!
I love scones! Blueberry is my favorite.
Girl! Love the Breyer horses. Always wanted one but could never afford one. I'm 66 now, but still, love!
My dad always had a case pocket knife! ❤
If you stumble on to a red, blue, or green handled case knife they are good. Loved this video as slways.
I would have jumped on that huge cast iron skillet at the first sale. Nice job Kayla!!
I'm always in aww of how you have such a good eye for the quality items. I would never have thought to look at so many of the items you did. I learn so much watching. Keep up the great work!
Hi Kayla! I just love your garage sale videos. I've been subscribed for awhile now and have noticed that the sales prices there in the midwest and east coast are so much better than here on the west coast. It's a lot harder to make a profit from sourcing at estate sales or garage sales here, but we still enjoy the hunt!
Such a great video Kayla! Thanks for taking us along with you😊
Wow what a great yard sale day !!! Thanks for explaining all of it and giving us sold comps ! Have a blessed week !!!
You are soo sweet I love your ascent enjoy watching your finds but I've learned it takes money to make money
This is the yard sale of my dreams... Case knives?! I have a big collection of them. You can never go wrong with a Case.
I wonder if there were any good golf clubs.. Nice finds!
Awesome sauce Kayla 😊 love watching your videos and what you choose to pick up.. great learning from you!! Love your enthusiasm 👍🏼
Great video. Fun to watch and I love the pace. I like seeing the personal interactions and as a reseller, I appreciate the comps.
Just a fyi for future Case Knives, I live in Bradford PA where they are made and if you send them in to case they repair and clean them for free. They have a lifetime guarantee 😊 same with zippo lighters. Happy picking
