This is the first Wot video I ever watched and I have been playing for about 9 months now. I have finally gotten this vehicle and I couldn't be happier.
This guy was *far* too aggressive at the start and lost way too much health with little to show for it. Can't argue with his end result but he got there *despite* that initial play not because of it.
Oh I agree aggressive play is better than passive.. just you were a bit.... out there in the breeze too much at the start. I'd have let the super bouncy turret do the work rather than exposing the hull going that far up the hill.

Personally as an Anglo-Saxon with a German mother and many Polish friends this offends me deeply as it ought to everyone. QB is a class act and his site is for class people interested in discussing WOT, tactics and tanks. If you concern is with the country of origin of a fellow commentator rather than their comments or gameplay may I politely suggest you leave, go somewhere else and hopefully have an unpleasant day (to say the least). While I cannot claim to speak for QB directly as we have never met, I do suspect after watching his video's, his ethical behavior and the attitude he displays on his site that he will at least agree with the 'leave this site now ' part of my suggestion!
I do find though that hardly any of the polish can play this game, in fact pretty much all of Europe can't play except the Dutch. Worst ones are the Spanish though. Germans are average, French are bad tryhards. British are average, Russians are about as bad as the Spanish but it seems intentional most of the time.

It looks like the ISU-152 is using the stock 122mm instead of BL-10, otherwise it could not have bounce.. Also the last shot he actually aim and hit the gun manlet, it was very lucky that it actually go through it.. But sometimes, luck is what makes a good match and he did well as well
I dunno man, the ISU152 is the ultimate troll mobile... I've bounced the Bl10 on scouts, and I recall also somehow surviving a shot from a VK4502 with 12 hp remaining lol
I would just like to say thank you for this. I play a lot of tier 8 battles and I absolutely hate coming up against the Type 59, now I can deal with it with something other than premium or HE rounds, so thanks again.
I have had a type 59 for a little over 2 years now and it is still my primary money maker. The only serious issues I have are that the turret jams a lit when hit with HE and the drive always seems to get hit (almost every time). Outside of that it is still an amazing vehicle. Those of you complaining about the armor really don't seem to understand how useless armor is to medium tanks but I guess I had to learn that myself by getting good with light tanks and transferring what I Learned from them to my medium play style. Its all about maneuverability. Since learning medium tank combat doctrine I have since been able to play vehicles like the Pershing and Panther II with similar success to my Type 59. Again its all about maneuverability. The turret on the type 59 despite the crit issue I mentioned above is still rock solid for a medium and well angled at its weak points. When packing with other mediums this tank is a game changer. I am glad I got it.
We can nit pick and be critical but the end result is under a lot of pressure and stress this player did a fantastic result. Was a lot of luck involved? Sure. But you can't argue with the end result. Bravo to that player. I'd have probably messed up at the end under the pressure.
Yea they pretty much killed it. Hell all you had to do was track them and they went side ways every time leaving a great shot for anyone else with you. People always went for the dmg shot as opposed to the shot that would get the 59 damaged the most.
I'm pretty Jaded. I watch about 50 replays a day for my channel an other bigger channels on UA-cam. That said....that was absolutely EPIC. It would have been spectacular with just the Pools....but a Fadin's medal also....come on man. Great play in a great tank. He really used that turret armor to full effect. o7
When it first came out a lot of players bought the tank and used it alot resulting in Type-59 platoons and packs which greatly lessened the diversity of the battles resulting in the removal of it from the gift store. I can remember the days when one could enter the tank and start a 6 tank pack with it in a battle and just go head to head vs the enemy Type-59's. I do hope they bring it back as iti s a beloved tank by many, even with the nerfs.
I still remember the T59 Plague way back in patch 7 something. They were literally everywhere. I literally fought battles where over 3/4 of the teams were T59s and they were way more overpowered than they are now. It became such a problem for the game and WOT got so many complaints about it they removed it from the store. If they ever bring it back I want one. I still target them first on the battlefield because they have the same reputation as the IS3 and T54 for being a pain in the ass.

I love my Type 59! It's the only premium vehicle I ever bought and always have fun driving it, even when I do horrible in it. However, I have many more games that I do decent to fantastic in it then I do poorly. Usually I do poorly when I get hyper aggressive with it and get caught in the open.
i am so happy that i ahve bought the type when he were for the last time in the gift shop. My mates said buy it buy it because i was not experienced in this game yet and this think is awesome^^

I personally love the type 59 even though I don't own one. But I think seeing as though there are so many out there right now I find it amusing when I come across one and have to fight it. It offers a challenge to me in order to work for my kills. Now granted anything from to your seven and lower will not be able to penetrate which can make this Tank very overpowered at that point but with the vast majority of the players who come across this tank being able to use premium 1 ounce now I find that killing one is no longer that big of a challenge.

I think the type 59 is a great tank all round at tier 8, and at tier 9 you start playing it like a classic medium, flanking around and getting side or rear shots on the enemy. This tank looks like it matches my playstyle. I wish I had one.
Good game I'd say. I've only ever gotten 10+ kills a few times. My most memorable are in a Hetzer, in an M4 Sherman, and 14 kills in my Churchill I, which has been my best game since I started playing.
awesome tank, even with the nerfs, but if you do very well with it, like this guy found out, running out of ammo is a given. You have to pick your loadout carefully in this tank. You certainly don't see them much anymore. I remember a match with 6 or 7 T59s ON EACH SIDE! It was pretty ridiculous, lol.
when i met the type 59 for the first time ever i was in a pz38na you can imagine how well that went. but the first time i met one where i had the potential to actually damage it i was in a jackson with a 76mm so i was like that m6 in this game. but since ive learned from past experiences i dont fear this tank anymore at all unless its in a platoon in which case your screwed but solo ive beaten type 59s in my IS and once in the cromwell too but in a tier 8 its not hard as long as it cant dictate the combat pace.
That is why I find it funny that people cry about not being able to get a type 59. If the type was still like it was back in the day I could understand wanting one. After the nerfball bat beat the snot out of the type it is nothing more than a semi decent medium with iffy armor. I enjoy my type but I just don't like running it anymore unless I am hurting for credits. Honestly Pro-whatever got lucky as hell in that match. I mean he lost a little more than half his health in the first few minutes. The bounciness of the types armor is the only thing that kept him in the game. Well that and the enemies lack of aim.
jboldt001 Well please don't take anything I said as me bashing your game play. You did well but with that being said you made a large chunk of mistakes that could have been avoided. Now I am not über great myself. My stats ain't blue and purple by any means lol. After watching the replay I just saw somethings that you could have done to save hp. Overall though well played just remember that beauty that is the type just ain't the "roll around and whoop ass" tank it used to be. Give it as much offensive play as you do defensive play so you have the hp to spare when needed. I wouldn't say that you did anything "nooby" though.
DarkArcAngel2129 unfortunuately thats not completely true, the turret is one of the best tier 8 turrets you can get out of the medium tanks and the gun is pretty good with it's gold shells being apcr, the mobility is nice and the gun handling isn't half bad. I understand it's not overpowered but as of right now you cannot argue against that it is the best tier 8 medium premium currently, which is the problem as many of us prefer medium tanks due to mobility + dpm rather than heavies like the t34 or is-6.
You say that, but I remember sitting on top of a hill and waiting for the type to come over and putting shots into the lower plate, and bouncing repeatedly with the 90mm on the pershing... That tank used to troll so hard.
NetherPrime I have used the Type and gone against the Type plenty of times. Its not that hard to take down. The turret is bounce by not impenetrable. You make it sound like it is still like it used to be. The Type is a shell of what it used to be. Unless you sling gold all the time you aren't going to pen things easily. The ROF is average at best. The armor is only good if you angle right but considering gold is payable with credits you going to get hit with it more then none because people see a Type and change to that ammo selection. I don't know where you are getting this idea that the Type is the best T8 in the game because it is not. It used to be but not anymore. There are far better T8 premium tanks in the game now. the Jag8.8 has better troll armor, pen and DPM. T34 has far better armor, better pen and slightly lower DPM but high alpha. Heck even the T-34-2 has slightly low armor but does more DPM then the Type. So yes the Type can still be a beast in the right hands but it is far from the best anymore.
Epicest game ever, u really can't have better result in a type 59 :O Although he was exposing himself quite much in the first half of the battle without any reason, losing most of his health.
I got one years ago, stopped playing for over a year. not the same tank i played before. i usually made 30k every game regardless. now very few shots bounce and i take a lot of damage quickly. might be the class of guns has improved or it has been derfed.
they brought it back in the Christmas present box event. Spent like $300 to get the type 59. Was it worth it?? HELL NOOO!!!! But at least i got so i'm happy. It's still OP 4 years later.

Lol, reading these comments. Even after all this time, the good ole' Type still causing controversy and getting peoples' short pants in a bunch. For the record, I bought one pretty much right after they were released. Back then, they were a bit "OP", not because of the tank itself, but the fact you were pretty much always top tier thanks to the preferential match making. As far as the actual tanks stats, they are, or at least WERE, exactly what a premium should be. Slightly better than a standard STOCK tier 8 medium, but nowhere near as good as a fully upgraded standard tier 8 med. So WarGaming announced they were going to "fix" the Type by upping it's match making tier, which was fine, in fact, they should have just taken away it's preferential match making ALTOGETHER, but otherwise left the tank alone. That was really all they needed to do. But, of course, they didn't stop there. The Type 59 was literally beaten damn near to death with the nerf bat. It's hard stats were cut drastically, primarily the gun performance, but what was by far and away worse was the beating it's "soft stats" (that you don't see on paper) took. It's handling and mobility are no where NEAR as good as they used to be, especially on soft terrain. It's tracks fall off if somebody looks at you funny. The armor performance has been drastically reduced, and the gun is frankly... terrible. I still have mine, it's by far and away my most played tank. It's still fun, and I do well in it, but I think that's mostly on account of not having to worry about losing credits, so I can be stupid and overly aggressive, just as ProX was at the beginning of this replay, and just have fun. But for all those fretting about how "OP" it is, or how unfair it is you can't buy them anymore... you're really not missing out on much. If it was a standard tank that you had to grind through on your way to higher tiers... it would be "meh" at best. It's legendary "OP" status is largely based on the fact that upon release, it spent most of it's time running around clubbing tier 6 and 7 tanks. Those days are long gone, though, and on the bright side, if you didn't buy one, at least you didn't have to deal with having a tank you paid actual money for taken away and replaced with a substandard replacement.
Also One of the biggest discussions that you come across is the argument that premium round should not be used in the game or at least accessible unless you have gold. I disagree with this mainly because those rounds existed in real life and if you think that an M4 Sherman up against a tiger back in the day was thinking I should use my normal rounds instead of a PCR let's say because that's cheap and it's cheating. Or another example is that nobody has any skill because they're firing premium. For some people it is true but for others like myself I use it only if I find myself in a situation where I know that I will not be doing anything to benefit the team if I just constantly fire my regular rounds and not penetrate.

Saw one Type 59 go on eBay last month for over US$ 1000. The BT-SV is available on SEA portal, which I thought I'd never see. Does this mean the Type 59 could appear again one day...
I would be more impressed if it was any other tier 8 medium. This tank does not need premium matchmaking. Did not hurt that the enemy team attacked one at a time.
I know it ended up good, but I think he rushed his final shot which could have very easily cost him the win. There was a relatively high chance that his shot would either bounce or miss completely, and since he had only one shell left, he shouldn't have taken that risk. I think he should have either waited a little bit longer to aim, or use the fact that the ISU just fired to reposition and try to get a better shot.

Damn! This Guy makes those last Shot's Count, I know everyone say's Vert Stab, GLD and Rammer but what I c and how I play a Vert-Stab with a Untrained Crew is not worth more than a GLD but is it worth more than Vents? Even with Full Rations?
VStab is almost always more worth than GLD. Though with Type59, I use VStab, Rammer and GLD beucase of 2,9s aimtime which coupled with only 181mm pen is horrible. If you are going to switch anything, switch GLD for either Vents or Optics. VStab is too worthy on almost anything that can use it.
I made 2 big mistakes in regards to the Type 59. 1. I didn't buy one even though I was around right after beta and had every chance to. 2. I bought the Type 62 because it looked like the 59 and was said to be nearly as good. It's Not a smaller Type 59, it's terrible. I never see them in game and I never play it. I was such an idiot...
yesterday i have a 1164 exp defeat in my least favorite tank in my garage, the VK 3002M. 7 kills and i got capped. Almost had my best game ever in my least favorite tank lol.
what do i think of the type 59? Well i want one that's for damn sure, that and a type 62 cause i just have this liking for Chinese vehicles that i cant explain, Chinese and German vehicles actually

Also if he was using the 122mm he was shooting AP which is just...fail...because the HE would have killed him either way.

I bought this on the Xbox last night. This tank is a beast, so far nothing has challenged me with it.
Still one of my fav games - shows why the type 59 gets my full attention no matter what else is on the enemy team.

I love my Type 59 :) Great tank, trolly armor. The lack of ammo is probably the only real beef I have with it though.

In China, you can buy buy this tank, so the only thing to evaluate a tank of tier 6, 7, or 8 is that if it stand a chance to beat the type 59.

Good game I'd say. I've only ever gotten 10+ kills a few times. My most memorable are in a Hetzer, in an M4 Sherman, and 14 kills in my Churchill I, which has been my best game since I started playing.
awesome tank, even with the nerfs, but if you do very well with it, like this guy found out, running out of ammo is a given. You have to pick your loadout carefully in this tank.
You certainly don't see them much anymore. I remember a match with 6 or 7 T59s ON EACH SIDE! It was pretty ridiculous, lol.
when i met the type 59 for the first time ever i was in a pz38na you can imagine how well that went. but the first time i met one where i had the potential to actually damage it i was in a jackson with a 76mm so i was like that m6 in this game. but since ive learned from past experiences i dont fear this tank anymore at all unless its in a platoon in which case your screwed but solo ive beaten type 59s in my IS and once in the cromwell too but in a tier 8 its not hard as long as it cant dictate the combat pace.
That is why I find it funny that people cry about not being able to get a type 59. If the type was still like it was back in the day I could understand wanting one. After the nerfball bat beat the snot out of the type it is nothing more than a semi decent medium with iffy armor. I enjoy my type but I just don't like running it anymore unless I am hurting for credits. Honestly Pro-whatever got lucky as hell in that match. I mean he lost a little more than half his health in the first few minutes. The bounciness of the types armor is the only thing that kept him in the game. Well that and the enemies lack of aim.
jboldt001 Well please don't take anything I said as me bashing your game play. You did well but with that being said you made a large chunk of mistakes that could have been avoided. Now I am not über great myself. My stats ain't blue and purple by any means lol. After watching the replay I just saw somethings that you could have done to save hp. Overall though well played just remember that beauty that is the type just ain't the "roll around and whoop ass" tank it used to be. Give it as much offensive play as you do defensive play so you have the hp to spare when needed. I wouldn't say that you did anything "nooby" though.
DarkArcAngel2129 unfortunuately thats not completely true, the turret is one of the best tier 8 turrets you can get out of the medium tanks and the gun is pretty good with it's gold shells being apcr, the mobility is nice and the gun handling isn't half bad.
I understand it's not overpowered but as of right now you cannot argue against that it is the best tier 8 medium premium currently, which is the problem as many of us prefer medium tanks due to mobility + dpm rather than heavies like the t34 or is-6.
You say that, but I remember sitting on top of a hill and waiting for the type to come over and putting shots into the lower plate, and bouncing repeatedly with the 90mm on the pershing... That tank used to troll so hard.
NetherPrime I have used the Type and gone against the Type plenty of times. Its not that hard to take down. The turret is bounce by not impenetrable. You make it sound like it is still like it used to be. The Type is a shell of what it used to be. Unless you sling gold all the time you aren't going to pen things easily. The ROF is average at best. The armor is only good if you angle right but considering gold is payable with credits you going to get hit with it more then none because people see a Type and change to that ammo selection.
I don't know where you are getting this idea that the Type is the best T8 in the game because it is not. It used to be but not anymore. There are far better T8 premium tanks in the game now. the Jag8.8 has better troll armor, pen and DPM. T34 has far better armor, better pen and slightly lower DPM but high alpha. Heck even the T-34-2 has slightly low armor but does more DPM then the Type.
So yes the Type can still be a beast in the right hands but it is far from the best anymore.

I got one years ago, stopped playing for over a year. not the same tank i played before. i usually made 30k every game regardless. now very few shots bounce and i take a lot of damage quickly. might be the class of guns has improved or it has been derfed.
You can still purchase Type 59 on Chinese server, which is the reason why I always use VPN to get on US server.
they brought it back in the Christmas present box event. Spent like $300 to get the type 59. Was it worth it?? HELL NOOO!!!! But at least i got so i'm happy. It's still OP 4 years later.

Lol, reading these comments. Even after all this time, the good ole' Type still causing controversy and getting peoples' short pants in a bunch. For the record, I bought one pretty much right after they were released. Back then, they were a bit "OP", not because of the tank itself, but the fact you were pretty much always top tier thanks to the preferential match making. As far as the actual tanks stats, they are, or at least WERE, exactly what a premium should be. Slightly better than a standard STOCK tier 8 medium, but nowhere near as good as a fully upgraded standard tier 8 med.
So WarGaming announced they were going to "fix" the Type by upping it's match making tier, which was fine, in fact, they should have just taken away it's preferential match making ALTOGETHER, but otherwise left the tank alone. That was really all they needed to do. But, of course, they didn't stop there. The Type 59 was literally beaten damn near to death with the nerf bat. It's hard stats were cut drastically, primarily the gun performance, but what was by far and away worse was the beating it's "soft stats" (that you don't see on paper) took. It's handling and mobility are no where NEAR as good as they used to be, especially on soft terrain. It's tracks fall off if somebody looks at you funny. The armor performance has been drastically reduced, and the gun is frankly... terrible.
I still have mine, it's by far and away my most played tank. It's still fun, and I do well in it, but I think that's mostly on account of not having to worry about losing credits, so I can be stupid and overly aggressive, just as ProX was at the beginning of this replay, and just have fun. But for all those fretting about how "OP" it is, or how unfair it is you can't buy them anymore... you're really not missing out on much. If it was a standard tank that you had to grind through on your way to higher tiers... it would be "meh" at best. It's legendary "OP" status is largely based on the fact that upon release, it spent most of it's time running around clubbing tier 6 and 7 tanks. Those days are long gone, though, and on the bright side, if you didn't buy one, at least you didn't have to deal with having a tank you paid actual money for taken away and replaced with a substandard replacement.
Also One of the biggest discussions that you come across is the argument that premium round should not be used in the game or at least accessible unless you have gold. I disagree with this mainly because those rounds existed in real life and if you think that an M4 Sherman up against a tiger back in the day was thinking I should use my normal rounds instead of a PCR let's say because that's cheap and it's cheating. Or another example is that nobody has any skill because they're firing premium. For some people it is true but for others like myself I use it only if I find myself in a situation where I know that I will not be doing anything to benefit the team if I just constantly fire my regular rounds and not penetrate.

Am I the only one who noticed a decrease in credits gain for premium tanks? When I bought my IS-6 making over 100k credits net wasn't that special,now this guy has this amazing game in a tier 8 premium and he barely makes 100k credits?!

I would be more impressed if it was any other tier 8 medium. This tank does not need premium matchmaking. Did not hurt that the enemy team attacked one at a time.

I know it ended up good, but I think he rushed his final shot which could have very easily cost him the win. There was a relatively high chance that his shot would either bounce or miss completely, and since he had only one shell left, he shouldn't have taken that risk. I think he should have either waited a little bit longer to aim, or use the fact that the ISU just fired to reposition and try to get a better shot.

Damn! This Guy makes those last Shot's Count, I know everyone say's Vert Stab, GLD and Rammer but what I c and how I play a Vert-Stab with a Untrained Crew is not worth more than a GLD but is it worth more than Vents? Even with Full Rations?
VStab is almost always more worth than GLD. Though with Type59, I use VStab, Rammer and GLD beucase of 2,9s aimtime which coupled with only 181mm pen is horrible. If you are going to switch anything, switch GLD for either Vents or Optics. VStab is too worthy on almost anything that can use it.

Wish I had a replay of my 99k take home payday with my type 59.
I made 2 big mistakes in regards to the Type 59. 1. I didn't buy one even though I was around right after beta and had every chance to. 2. I bought the Type 62 because it looked like the 59 and was said to be nearly as good. It's Not a smaller Type 59, it's terrible. I never see them in game and I never play it.

yesterday i have a 1164 exp defeat in my least favorite tank in my garage, the VK 3002M. 7 kills and i got capped. Almost had my best game ever in my least favorite tank lol.
I love my t-34-3 but I almost never bounce that many shots and the type59 and t-34-3 is similar in armor

An average game with my KV-1S puts me at just over 6000 damage, this damage is in the replay is okay if this is a tier 7 tank though.
