I got so excited when I saw this video pop up. It's really funny that years ago walking down some street in Venice and ran into Ammar, and now I finally see you guys exploring my country. After seeing you guys starting to travel a lot, I thought many times about reaching out to offer some snippets of stories unique to Georgia, because there are indeed so many niches of life to explore there. So, I'm glad you found your way there eventually. I wish I was there at the moment to say hello, but my next trip home is a month away. I hope you explore more. Keep in mind though that the more you inquire about the state of modern Georgia, the more you will hear takes motivated by certain internal agendas. I hope you'll be able to dodge that and get as pure of an experience as possible. But our past is something that unites everyone there and you'll almost certainly hear true and genuine stories about it, similar to those of the woman in this video. I doubt you see this comment but if you need any advice on the place or any help piecing together the big picture of our story, please feel free to reach out. Whatever I wouldn't be able to help you with, I could at least direct you to someone who can.
You can feel that woman's love through her words, even after everything she's been through, It's inspiring. Thank you for listening to her and sharing it with all of us 💖
I am from Georgia and I am proud that one of the best channels in my opinion has been in Georgia and recorded this amazing video! thanks! I want to mention that Georgia is more than this!
@@Deme_Demetre 😂. Yeah I guess to a viewer with no knowledge of this place it might seem like the land is abandoned. But they point out many times it is a small chunk of land in the vast populated country. Most viewers will understand this is like an abandoned park tied to a countries history.
The woman living in the abandoned building is the epitome of a good and faithful servant. I pray she gets to return to her home. She also gave Ammar’s mother the ultimate compliment. Amazing woman.
That woman seemed like just such a good, pure soul. So thankful for everything, even though it wasn’t a lot. And so quick to open her home to strangers and make them feel comfortable. I hope she is still doing well.
Thank you Ammar for coming back to Yes Theory Adventures, we miss the dynamic between you and Thomas. It is so special to have the original Yes Theory Crew
The interview with the old lady was amazing. It is people who have survived war who are the most compassionate and kind and always advocate for love and peace. They understand the pain. Thanks for telling her story. BTW please bring back your black Love Over Fear hoodie with the flowers and vines on the sleeves! I missed getting one before and now it's off the Seek Discomfort site
I'm from Sweden, born in the 90's and I guess pretty privileged for growing up where I did. I really appreciate when you visit these places in Europe and tell us more about these forgotten places that's such a huge part about our history. I wish we had learnt more about this and Sovjet in school, since it's so close to us. Please, keep telling us about Eastern Europe, it's very interesting and eye opening. Thank you!

I visited Georgia (including Tskaltubo) in 2022, and it remains the most amazing country I've ever seen. The people are incredibly warm, the atmosphere is so honest, the history is rich, and the food is to die for. Hoping YT will do a video on Gori next.....

My grandmother's caretakers are both Georgian women who immigrated to the US. They are two of the nicest most thoughtful people I've ever met. They are with her 7 days a week but also have their own families to take care of. It takes incredible strength to be able to move to another country for the goal of the battement of one's own family and give up so much. They have made me want to visit Georgia and said they will take good care of me when I do! Also, Georgia is the birthplace of wine, so if you partake, please try yourself a nice Georgian red wine. I've been to Georgia last year and met hospitable people. While hiking through the forests in the small town of Lagodekhi, I was invited by a group of friends to a wine party where I was camping. It is worth noting the way Georgians do their toast (whether it's wine or chacha) and that culture is evident in this video. Each time we raised our glasses, they would recite a (usually lengthy) heartfelt gratitude or dedication for life, friendship, guests, and many aspects of life. 'Gaumarjos!' 🥂
I absolutely love Georgia. I was lucky enough to spend 2 months there last year. I hope that you do more videos there. To anyone who is unfamiliar with the country, its not a desolate wasteland. There is great natural beauty and modern cities. Amazing and ancient wine culture and incredible cuisine. I only just scratched the surface but the history there is also amazing. There could be an entire series of videos about Georgia alone.

The tickets that were assigned to the people were free vacations for a whole month. Thomas, you are telling it as if it were a bad thing. On the contrary, the country cared for its people, so it made sure that the people, the backbone of progress, were rested and restored for another year of work. My grandparents went on vacation to the Black Sea free of charge because their companies took care of the workers. I loved joining my grandparents on their vacations.
I cried watching the story of Lucas. My son’s name is Lucas too and he’s in the Philippines while I’m in Saudi Arabia working as a nurse to support all his needs. I always pray to God that someday we will be together.

I just turned 40 and I would love to get out of my shell and do something like this, unfortunately anxiety and separation issues I have from leaving my house keeps me inside most times! I so wish I could go on an adventure before it's too late! I know this wouldn't have been possible for me 10 years ago as I weighted 325lbs but I lost over 100 pounds and I truly wish i could get back to my old self :) Love your channel and I have been watching you here From Moncton NB Canada and wish the world was bigger for myself and my family!
Really love it when they bond with local people they're meeting for the first time. It's just so heartwarming! All the people they portray in their videos are So wholesome people❤ Much love to the Grandma :) Hope I'll meet her someday

Think about the happiness and bridges you could cross bringing all these like minded people together to talk and let everyone see what can happen with everlasting hope and just being good people!
Big Love from Georgia. I"'m sure you liked our astonishing country. It has one of the best histories, culture, cuisine, and beautiful landmarks which is worth seeing. ❤
Yes theory you guys are doing something so different. It gives me goosebumps just watching the videos. Appreciate you guys going out to these places and giving us the ground reality. Love you guys
As I long time viewer of the channel and a fellow Georgian, who's been in many countries you guys have visited, this video brings joy to my heart. Glad you guys were here, and hope you liked your stay ^_^
My mother is Georgian, but I've grown up in America, speaking English as my primary language, and although I have a love for Georgia as if it is my home country, I go there every summer after all and all my family is there, but I am insecure with how 'Georgian' I really am. I don't look very Georgian, I don't speak it very well, and I feel like to 'real' Georgians, I'm just a foreigner. Either way though, I have been waiting for a Yes Theory video in Georgia for as long as I've watched you guys, and I was very excited to see this. I must admit though, that when I saw what it was on, I was a little disappointed, as there is so much more you can talk about and see in Georgia other than Tskaltubo. The people, the hospitality, that's what makes Georgia, Georgia. I was so relieved to see Thomas acknowledge the occupied territories, (I'd love to see you guys see more about it), and I was touched by your conversation with the Georgian Bebo (grandmother). I could understand everything she said (which isn't always the case for Georgian, but sometimes), and the way she talked and was hospitable, reminded me of all the Georgian Bebos I've known. Including my own. But sadly, the day this came out, 3/30, I lost my grandmother, my Georgian Bebo. Coincidentally, she was from the west side, near Tskaltubo. The conversation made me tear up. Not only because she reminded me of my own Bebo, but it also reassured me that I am Georgian. I have experienced this world. I'm Georgian to my family, to the Georgians I know, and that's what matters. But honestly, even that doesn't matter, because as long as I matter to them, who cares what I am. This was a very important realization for me, and I thank you. Hopefully you come back to Georgia, every Georgian will agree there's a lot more stories to be told there. მიყვარხარ ბებო

I visited Georgia 10 years ago to visit family friends for two weeks. I have known people from Georgia my entire life. I haven't made it back yet, but I really want to go back soon. It is truly one of the most incredible places I have ever been and one of the strongest countries in the world. I love them so much, they are the kindest people you will ever meet, and I am so excited for the future of Georgia.
I am amazed by the stories you upload every time. I have been a fan since the pandemic started. I am shocked that the story for this week is about Georgia because Georgians are really kind and always welcoming. My girlfriend is from Georgia, and I wish I could travel with you to see her and check out this amazing abandoned resort. I am amazed by Georgians, even though I am Filipino. I am always really inspired by your Yes Theory tagline "Seek Discomfort." Thank you so much sharing this wonderful story 🥰
The work and love these guys pour into their work and message is unbelievable and I respect them so much and the people they meet in the most unexpected places really change perception of how we see the world and the love in it. ❤
You've found and touched two good people that Georgia should be proud of. 'Thank your mother for raising a good son' is a wonderfully sincere compliment and well deserved.
Love the old duo getting back for a trip like this, you guys are so inspiring with every story, even though I am watching my mind gets in deep thoughts throughout everything that is happening within the videos, I can't wait to see more for this year!
I lived in nearby Kutaisi for a year and have been to Tskaltubo a few times. Very interesting places with so many abandoned buildings. Touching interview with the Abkhazian lady too.. Funny, i met Lucas a few times during my stay. Weird to see someone you know on a big YT channel :) Georgia is a very nice and beautiful country. Definitely worth a visit! Lovely people as well.
This wonderful lady and her story made me tear up. Imagine being away from home involuntarily for over 30 years and missing it the whole time, thinking you'll return at some point... 😟
OMG haven’t even watched yet but just have to express how excited we are for this one - Georgia is so underrated and such a gem of a country ✨ pumped to see it through y’all’s eyes!! 🫶🏼
We recently had a trip to Georgia and Armenia from earlier this March, I would say that its one of the best places I’ve been to. Georgia is so beautiful and full of stories and history. I wish I could go back. 😌
I was just in that city last month, and you guys captured the feel and story of the old Soviet places perfectly. Well done! I love your philosophy, appreciation of history, and good manners. Thank you!
"Love is the only thing that lasts" that old lady said and I really like it. I actually agree with her and I loved what she stated as a woman who witnessed the war. I also wanna say that history was never as enjoyable as today, this is the first time I wach something about history and not feeling bored. Thank you guys for the good energy that you share❤.
A few years back, my mother went on a guided trip to Armenia and Georgia. She loved Georgia and its people so much that she travelled back three weeks after her return and stayed for several weeks. She’s been literally all around the world but she thought Georgia had something special. She specifically mentioned the warmth of the people and the feeling of safety as a 70-year old woman out an about on her own.
I was born in Abkhazia 3 years before the war and my family, unfortunately, was a witness to the awful ethnic cleansing that went down. In 1992 of the Abkhazian people and then in 1993 of the Georgian people. We weren’t targeted because we were neither nationality, but had many friends from both sides. So we helped each targeted side escape until our own escape out of the country. Watching this video brought back so many memories of when I got to finally visit Abkhazia in 2011. With trees and greenery growing through government buildings and the many that were abandoned due to the war. Thank you for an amazing video and the incredibly touching interview with the lady from Abkhazia.
What that granny told everyone is eternal principle and main one: "love" and not fake one real love when you care for yourself not egocentrically but so you could help others. Of course if another person steps on your comfort zone you must give in and help them as a lot of people are doing that around the world. Everyone keep cultivating love.
I love people and they matter most, but seeing such stunning architecture in such decay is chilling and sad. Great video as always. As others have said, it’s wonderful to see you two together again. Best wishes for the people of Georgia ❤

Much love to the Grandma :) Hope I'll meet her someday
Man wheres the episode were you guys bring all the amazing older people youve talked to together. These guys have been through war losing everything.
Thats so cool. I’m also georgian, but from the state
My grandma passed away next day when we filmed it
It’s incredible that every one of these incredible journeys is guided by a yes fam member from that region. Really goes to show you that The Yes fam is a global movement even in places you would not expect, glad I get to be apart of this amazing social family ❤️
What a beautiful message from the sweet old lady. I hope she sees her home in her lifetime.
"Thank your mother for raising a good son" this lady feels is so pure
I there’s something Eerie seeing how much was spent on this just for it to become a ghost house with shards and memories of the past.
NO CUZ WHY AM I LITERALLY CRYING?! I've been waiting for Georgia episode for so long! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Love the old duo getting back for a trip like this, you guys are so inspiring with every story, even though I am watching my mind gets in deep thoughts throughout everything that is happening within the videos, I can't wait to see more for this year!

As a Georgian watching ur videos for a some time now it is absolutely amazing experience seeing my country finally thank uuuuu 3:12 ❤️❤️❤️
Such a great encounter with a lovely woman. She's got a heart of gold.
I cry watching every video from this chanel 😢
This wonderful lady and her story made me tear up. Imagine being away from home involuntarily for over 30 years and missing it the whole time, thinking you'll return at some point... 😟
OMG haven’t even watched yet but just have to express how excited we are for this one - Georgia is so underrated and such a gem of a country ✨ pumped to see it through y’all’s eyes!! 🫶🏼
The GOATS of production, editing, journalism! Keep it up!
Thank you!
I love your videos and the positive attitude you promote. Also being 75 your treatment of elder people is commendable. I live on the Oregon coast.
Thank you for telling the truth in a authentic and genuine way. It speaks volumes of your guys character.
Neat.
გაუმარჯოს საქართველოს! 🇬🇪
Big love from Georgia ❤

I am a Georgian. Thanks guys. I'm sure you enjoyed the food, music, people, and also the bright and glomorous side of this wonderful country.
absolutely amazing episodes guys, such a story to behold and seeing the woman still holding on to something she loved is so sweet.
Guys I'm Georgian, i watch your videos for like 6 years and just imagined meeting you in my country 😄 that would be fun 😄
Those words spoken at 15:20 hit differently.. great video as always lads
I just went to Georgia for my first time. I was blown away by the country by far the most underrated country I've been too and will return again
I've never heard spoken Georgian before, and oh wow, it sounds so pleasant to my ears.
Amazing work. Thank you so much for telling their story! Georgia has my heart. Lived there for 6 years!
I love Saturdays ❤️ The idea of choosing peace and love for every person on Earth is quickly approaching! Like usual, ya hit it outta the park again!
It must be so hard to meet these sweet people. I would be going back to these places to visit them. So many kind humans.
It's channels like this that help with my wanderlust along with my want to urban explore.
Lucas, thanks for hosting last summer!
Thank you, Yes Theory, for taking the time to show us a glimpse of the past and these beautiful peoples stories ❤
I cannot believe you were in Georgia and I missed the chance to meet you. I’m such a fan. 🇬🇪🇬🇪🇬🇪 Hope you enjoyed Georgia !
