Thanks a million Jim and Suzanne. We've had quite a bit of pork since Huancayo and we have to say the lechón at this market has yet to be beaten, it was absolutely amazing. Also, the lechón ladies were very sweet. We're looking forward to getting back to Peru in the next few days. Maybe yous might consider a trip there yourselves?! We've fallen hard for Peru and we've barely put a dent in it! Thanks again for tuning in to our Peru series. 🥰🤗🥰🤗
We felt it was the perfect way to end the video. We're glad you agree. Thanks a million Rifam picin for taking the time to comment and for enjoying our video.
The lechón was a really sound choice - we opted to eat it quite a few times since! Having said that, we also tried the Guinea Pig a few days later - look out for that in another video! Thanks for the comment and for subscribing, H In The Groove!
Fun fact: Bon Jovi, Slippery when Wet - including Living on a Prayer was recorded in Vancouver with several of the production team behind Loverboy. Anyway, Happy 2023! Thanks for sharing your travels and great attitudes! I am glad that no rodents were injured (consumed) during this video. All the best!
Thanks for the trivia, Dan! If you have any connections in Vancouver with Bon Jovi, would you put in a good word for us? As for the rodents, that'll be _another_ video...sadly, the one we ate DID NOT taste like chicken... We wish you a very Happy 2023 as well!
YUMMM...we were betting if you are going to have that lechon by itself or buy a bread and have it with bread... 😉 Thanks for sharing such nice, authentic sights!
It was very tempting to get some nice crusty ciabatta bread to go with it - ciabatta rolls are quite popular around here. I (Fiona) do love sandwiches, but we decided to just scarf it down by itself. We've been back a few times now to the lechón ladies. We'll definitely miss this tasty treat when we move on, hopefully we'll find it elsewhere in Peru. Thank yous for enjoying our video. Happy New Year 🎉 to yous. Here's to all of your new, exciting adventures that are just around the corner in 2023. 🥰🤗🥰🤗
Cool, thanks for another fascinating video! We're here in Mazatlan where some folks eat the very prolific local iguanas. They taste, I'm told, "like chicken". Why does everything taste like chicken, anyway? We have been a bit cautious about our foodie adventures after having a bit of the glitch from some raw vegetables we were making salad out of. Seems like the cilantro was suspect. But enjoying a weekly pickup of a whole chicken, rice, tortillas and salsa a local woman here on Stone Island prepares over a big oil can grill in the front yard of her house. (You know it's good when you have to wait in line behind a bunch of locals...right?) Hope some day we can catch up with ya'll on our travels in Mexico and Guatemala!
Thanks a million RedSpiralHand. We hope yous had a lovely Christmas and a Very Happy New Year to yous. You're right why does it always seem any kind of meat beyond the realm of beef, pork, or lamb is always quoted as "tastes like chicken". Have to say we didn't think guinea pig tasted like chicken at all! We'd definitely give iguana a try. We hope you're both feeling better now and glad to hear you're enjoying the rosti pollo. Enjoy Mazatlán, we reckon there'll be some great fireworks there tonight. Maybe our paths will cross this coming year! We hope your travels will take you down to Peru and beyond. Happy New Year. xx 🤗🤗
Hello Marthe. We'll have the guinea pig dinner video very soon... we'll let you know what we thought! We've been having a brilliant time sampling so many new foods (to us) here in Peru. The food here is amazing! We wait patiently for Jon Bon Jovi to subscribe 😉😂. He really does owe us and we'd be honoured to have him as a subscriber. Happy New Year to you. We hope you're having the loveliest time in Mazatlán. Thank you for always tuning in to us Marthe. 🥰🤗🥰🤗
If it were me, I'd have chose the pork pig over the guinea pig anytime! Those little ones looked like the things you fry up because you HAD to during the Apocalypse. hehehehe
Wait until you see us actually eat Guinea Pig! Indeed, these critters can be a tough sell for many although they are raised commercially here in Peru and are considered a delicacy. What do we think of the taste? Keep watching - we have a lot of interesting Peruvian food videos coming up! Thank you for continuing to watch and comment on our videos, jaferguson49 - this really means a lot to us!
Another great video! That pig looked absolutely mouthwatering! Loved the extended outro again with the dancing Perúvian!

That outro and the background music, Cherry on the pie!

I’d have gone for the lechón too. Fantastic.

Well you do a great job!

That Guinée pig looked délicious, never ate it. Did you get the d'inscription?😄.

Ever read "King Rat"? Jajajaja!
Do you have someone videoing you or are doing it yourself?
Hi Antionette - we film the videos ourselves.
