    I really love BPS knives. I’ve had the Adventurer for years now I love it.
    I use a memory solution filter it’s the best I’ve ever found. Only filter you can rebuild and has a charcoal filter as well.
    I also prefer coldsteel trail hawk or the Hudson Bay hawk really hard to beat the price.
    I’m a poor disabled vet so I go for the best quality I can find cheap. Lately I’ve found many things are ridiculous because of bushcarft being a hobby. Used to be survival and camping gear was cheap until it was labeled bushcarft then add $50-100 to it.

    I think you could probably cut one or both of the handles off your stove to make a space to feed your fire and if you feel the need for handles drill a couple holes and install some small diameter steel cable. You’re bringing great information and equipment to us,thanks!

    Nice gear! I need to get one of the wicker baskets for my Frost River pack or a plastic garbage can, it's the large one and it just collapses without a frame, like you said. I also need a ground cover with a high viz side. I have other high viz products but I could eliminate a couple with the GC.

    Did the ferro rod not work? I noticed the video cut to the fire going but didn't show it catching. Just curious.

    I like the pack also the tool roll reminds of one I made from denim that I bought years ago but mine was larger in certain pockets I water proofed it with bees wax and boiled linseed oil and used it for years as a way to make it easier to help insulate my tent from the elements. It worked great and I wish I still had it. I also like the tools that you got too the knife that you use as a neck knife I would love to see that in a high carbon steel instead of stainless steel, I carry a tomahawk for a small axe but my handle is a little to long( almost 21 inches ) any ideas on how to correct this? Please let me know I am also a diyer that likes to refurbish things and make things.

    Does that mesh bag for the cookset actually keep things from getting carbon on them? It would seem that things would still get dirty, obviously im referring to putting it in there without any cleaning lol.

    • @ThePreparedWanderer
      @ThePreparedWanderer  9 місяців тому

      I don't have issues with my pack getting dirty if that what you mean

      @ThePreparedWanderer ya it was lol. I was asking because I make custom cookpot bags and wondered how well the mesh did, perhaps I'll just have to make some with mesh and try it out.

    Yup, I bought the Corporals Corner Hardcore hammer hatchet with his logo on it. Nice hatchet but not worth 160 dollars.

    If it's a bushcraft pack, shouldn't it be a "Bushman's Rucksack"?

    • @ThePreparedWanderer
      @ThePreparedWanderer  9 місяців тому +1

      Why?

    • @YankeeWoodcraft
      @YankeeWoodcraft 9 місяців тому

      Because a woodsman's pack should be for the woods.
      Therefore, a bushman's pack is for the bush or for bushcrafting; Right? 😊
