This is GREAT!!! I wish there were more videos on here of the SAM 27000, the Boeing 707 (VC-137C) now on dispaly at the Reagan Presidential Library, or, of the 10-year older SAM 26000, now on display at the USAF Air Force Museum at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH. Bet on it that the two current 747s, now 21 years old, SAM 28000 & 29000, will be preserved somewhere, but I'd not get into a betting contest as to where, as they still have a lot of life left in them. But this is great!!!

Don't forget SAM 86970, one of Eisenhower's, Kennedy's, Johnson's, and Nixon's planes, that is now on display at Seattle's Boeing Museum of Flight.

Wild Smurf He was visiting Wilson Magnet High School. He had heard about the school's successes and wanted to see it first hand.

Not this one. The tail number of this plane is 27000. JFK's plane was 26000.

I am a docent at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and take people on tours on this plane. This plane was used by Presidents Nixon through George W. Bush (Bush W. only used it only one time). President Reagan used 27000 the most of all 7 of these presidents.

      @@Paul-Pakusch "JFK's plane was 26000."
JFK flew on more than one plane. (You know that "Air Force One" is a radio callsign and not an aircraft, right?) The first VC-137 to go into presidential service was the VC-137B with tail number 86970, dubbed "SAM 970," which went into service in 1959, and which carried presidents Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, and Nixon. 26000, a newer VC-137C, is called "Kennedy's Air Force One" because he was in office when it first went into service, but it wasn't the first VC-137 he flew in as president. You are correct, though, that Kennedy didn't fly in SAM 27000; it didn't enter service until 1972, during the Nixon administration.
