I took my family to the library this past April to see aircraft 27000. They thought I was on crack and weren't too interested until they walked in and saw it. They were both speechless and in awe. I subsequently got an apology. They were grateful. It's something you just don't see unless you go after it.
President Reagan you're legacy is forever ingrained in America's history sir, though I was born towards the end of your second term I've always respected and admired you. Your sense of humor, your personality and your leadership were second to none! When you passed on to Heaven the American people lost a dear friend, a great leader and an outstanding President! Rest In Peace sir!
+Skankpronger You must be a kid. That 707 became AF1 in 1973. The 707 was in active manufacturing production all the way until 1979. The 767 replaced it (not as AF1), starting service in 1981. As for the 747 replacing the 707 as AF1, that was initiated by Reagan in 1985, and entered service in 1991. The current AF1 747s will be soon replaced by the new generation 747-8 series.
You're correct. I was amazed also by how long the AF1s stayed in service. 26000 was in service from '62 to '98, and this plane, 27000 was in use from '72 to 2001. I've been to the Reagan several times to see the AF1 exhibit. Just one part of a great place overall.
doothless Agreed. He was spectacularly terrible. He ran up huge deficits with massive defense spending and tax cuts, and he presided over a massive stock market crash in 1987 that led to a recession for Bush when he was President. But, as much as I can't stand Reagan or George W. Bush, they would be huge upgrades over the unstable, egomaniacal nutjob we have in the White House right now.
The Reagan Library is one of my favorite places in the whole world. I've been there 3 times.

Hi dad
visited the museum in 2006 - i thought it was funny that both the plane and the chopper still had jelly bellies (reagan's favorites) in them.
I remember seeing this video in the library...On numerous field trips. Heh.
That sounds about right - they have the total on the display but I can't remember what it said. It was a lot though !
it was 668,884 miles the air force 1 flew(i think around there)
that is true, but the Boeing 747/VC-25s are the primary Air force One & 2
The Dayton Ohio .. Wright Patterson air museum has the Kennedy Sam 26000 707..... Thats the one to see......this was the back up jet
this is best looking Air Froce One 707 RULES 1960
What is the name of the music that starts at 105
San Bernadino ``International`` airport??? What you going to do. Fly by Cessna to Ensenada?
It was used from The Kennedy to The Reagan Administration
This aircraft wasn't even manufactured until 1972. 27000 was used from the Nixon through the George W. Bush administrations.

@@gilbertwilliams7256 His comment was made during the pathetic Obama administration. We finally got real leadership back in 2016. 👍
@@monkeyattackedmyass5435 yeah Trump's no Reagan and soon he'll be no president either.
@@gilbertwilliams7256 Trump is an amazing President, and an American hero, whether you're too stupid to realize it or not. 4 more years. 👍
I wish Pres Reagan was in the White House to day

planes are meant to fly not sit
A skeleton?
No.
I am pleased that Reagan is NOT in the White House today!
Why
I thought it was crashed in New York by the soldiers of the liberated front of America LMAO
That's a statement of opinion and that's obviously your opinion. Now I will express my opinion: Reagan was one of the very worst presidents.
