Thanks for this one. Used it today to replace, or should I say install a shift bushing. There wasn't even anything there to replace. Lol. The string would have helped but all I had was fishing line and that did not work. It makes it easier with two people for sure. We replaced the shift coupler as well. Chris says it shifts so smooth now. I'll have to wait until this weekend to try it for my self. I don't get to drive it much now that it is his daily. Lol.
Face the “slice” in the bushing towards the driver side. I was told that by an ole VW mechanic. I probably should have asked why. Or maybe he was messing with me! But I’m going to just in case 😂

Glad the video helped you out and y’all got it done. They do shift so much better with the proper bushings in place.
