Thanks for sharing, both Brian and Kelly. I heard a saying the other day, "That when a person passes, it is like a library burned down. That all their knowledge went with them. " So thanks to you both, for recording the videos that you do, and sharing your libraries with us.
Thanks for watching. Rest assured, with these two there will be no libraries burnt down anytime soon! Stay tuned. Much more to come.
the two dudes that I've never met, but feel like i have. Since i've learned so much about fishing and tying from these two. legends, thank you.
Thanks for watching! Much more coming with Kelly!!!
It's like lefty kreh and flip pallot for the younger generation 😆
Really, who's had a bigger impact on modern streamers than Kelly Galloup. 👍
Thanks for watching and certainly no bigger name than Kelly. A true pioneer. Much more to come so stay tuned.
Fantastic vid. Gallup is one of the greatest fly tyers and fishermen ever. Thanks
Thanks for watching. He certainly is.
Loved that look Brian gave the camera when Kelly's glasses made that clicking noise. 😆 🤣
Definitely a funny moment. Kelly actually introduced Brian to the Clic glasses many years ago.
Here is a thing that i've been thinking about with checking whats in a fishes stomach. Its not a representation of what a fish WILL eat, but a representation of what they have found to eat. Opportunistic rather than preference. I look in the stomachs of trout here in the Provo River and I've found a ton of little fresh water shrimp, and very very few have worms or leeches in them, BUT when I present both flies to the trout they almost always eat the worm over the shrimp.
Thanks for watching and thanks for sharing.
Definitely a collab I never thought I would see but am glad I am
They have been close friends since 1990 and always worked closely together. Much more to come!!!
one of those master pieces thanks guys
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing. Kelly is one of my favorite fly tiers, watch his channel all the time. Going to save this to my favorites.
Thanks for watching. He's one of the most innovative fly tyers of all-time. For sure.....
I want that shirt that Kelly rocks. Anyone got a link?
Call Kelly?
@@Madriveroutfitters I googly the name on the back and found their website. A cool organization dedicated to keeping public lands in public hands. I got a new sun hoodie.
@@augustonthefly Back Country Hunters and Anglers. Checked it out as well. Thanks.
Apparently Brian and MRO have done some work with the local chapter here as well.
I always just thought fly fishing was limited to only the rivers in Yellowstone n Montana. Little did I know. Wish I got into the sport 30 yrs ago.
Hang around our channel long enough and you’ll see that’s certainly not the case at all.
@@Madriveroutfitters Hebgen?
@@user-bh2mm1od4d They did some stuff on Hebgen.
Amazing! Thanks for sharing this great video. 👍🏻👏🏻🎣🐟😎🇺🇸
Thanks so much for watching and please stay tuned. Much more Brian and Kelly on the way!

I love that when Kelly puts his click readers on Brian raised his head in acknowledgment. 😂
You have to ackowledge the Clic. Always.
@@Madriveroutfitters that is a fact, It’s undeniable.
This is awesome, great collaboration with two legends
Thanks for watching.
Legendary…
Thanks Kelly and Brian👍
Thanks for watching!
Could I use polar chenille instead of the dubbing brush on this?
As Kelly states in the video, you can use whatever you want!
Sweet video!
Thanks for watching.
Where do you get that hook? Brand?
Mad River Outfitters is always the answer. Made by Montana Fly Company. www.madriveroutfitters.com/p-15349-mfc-belly-bumper-hook-kelly-galloups.aspx

Do you guys sell the materials
@@clintmay9292 Thanks for watching.
@@clintmay9292 Always!
Awesome fly, Kelly!!! Thanks to Brian for talking about this fly during his visit with Flip Pallot who tied a fly and a discussion of Kelly’s hook was brought up with a reference to this pattern. Thanks again, guys!!
Thanks for watching.
My belly bumper story is this, I ordered some flies from MRO one was the belly bumper. It looked good ...took it out first fish was one of my biggest chain pickerel about two pounds over the next 3 hours I caught 3 bass and 8 more chain pickerel. I took that fly to a fly shop and said I need the stuff to make this fly. At that point the fly only hade one eye left and was all torn up. It's one of my favorite flies easily.
It’s one of the best baitfish flies ever!
After subscribing to both their channels for a while, I worried when I saw that Brian & Kelly were doing a video together. They are each so laconic, I thought this would be the digital equivalent of a silent movie.
;-) Just kidding. Thanks guys. Good one!
Thanks for watching. They have been close friends for 31 years now....and counting.
OMG I loved the advise about personal touches and not forcing to make absolutely the same fly as original recipe. Ty so much
Thanks for watching.
Awesome video
Thanks for watching.
Wow, Kelly tying a fly on video in the summer, the world really has gone off of it's axis. Thanks for snagging Kelly this time of year Brian. Keep the good stuff coming.
Thanks for watching. Much more with Kelly on the way.
Are those hooks available and what would they be called? I looked online and the only hooks I find that look like them are listed as vintage mustard streamer hooks. Would a regular jig hook to the trick?
Well, they are called Kelly Galloup Bellly Bumper Hooks. www.madriveroutfitters.com/p-15349-mfc-belly-bumper-hook-kelly-galloups.aspx
Man … Kelly has really studied fish behavior …
He sure has!
I love the switch sound whenever magnetic glasses are deployed
They are called "Clic" glasses so maybe it's a......click? Regardless, thanks for watching.
Reef on it…
Thanks for watching.
I love this Ep.
Thanks for watching.
lol.. these guys
Good friends since 1990!
For a while I sitting here watching this guy make this fly then i look at they guy with the hat on and i was trying to figure out why he has a green goatee then he moved and i laughed so hard it was the peacock feathers
It's always the peacock feathers. Thanks for watching.
Love this so much...watching the 2 of you together is awesome!!

Ive never seen Kelly G. and that tying bench in HD
Happy to help! Thanks for watching.
Let's not forget The Found Link!
Did you finally find it?
@@Madriveroutfitters Great tying video, by the way. Thanks for talking Kelly into it. Kelly, himself (on a YT video), introduced me to the Found Link. It's a wicked little dry fly that Kelly invented, inspired by Mercer's Missing Link... but I suspect you know all that 😉. Love your channel and the latest Montana trip videos!
@@ronscholefield1894 Yes, we are familiar. One of our favorite dry flies. We sell a ton of them!!!
Awesome too see the two of you together. I've watched every video from both your libraries, I feel I know you both. Would love to sit there while Kelly ties
Thanks for watching. Stop by the Slide Inn sometime and you CAN sit there.
@@Madriveroutfitters it is on my bucket list👍
