  • The Gartside Hopper, or Pheasant Hopper, was created by renowned fly tyer Jack Gartside while camping at Madison Junction in Yellowstone Park around 1970. In this video, Kelly will walk you through the steps of this slight variation and we will also be introducing our upcoming Fly Tying Contest.
This Contest will be going on over the next 3-5 weeks and will feature 3 categories. The first category is for a Terrestrial Pattern using only natural materials, so no foam or rubber/silicone is allowed. The winner of this category will receive a $250.00 gift certificate to the shop and be entered to win the grand prize, which will be either a Sage Payload or Maverick Fly Rod or a Renzetti Presentation Vise of your choice. Please send all entries to the address below and good luck!
