  • This week we look at distribution from the hands and with pressure.
Distribution takes up the majority of a GKs role so it seems crazy to never work on it.
This is something we believe is a missing piece in most GKs distribution training.
Some are great at distribution when there’s plenty of time, plenty of space, no pressure, no moving targets etc but when it comes to games, you don’t see the same quality, the same decisions, and a lot more safer choices.
The only way we can be better at it in games, is working on it with similar demands to a match day.
    - Creating space
    - Creating time
    - Distributing close to pressure and in tight spaces
    - Moving at speed and distributing
    - Moving targets
    - Decision making (what to use and why)
In this episode, we take you through a common situation us keepers find ourselves in when playing. Lee shows some techniques he used through his career which you can try yourselves when either trying to set up a counter attack, or just to evade pressure from the opposition.

Great video! Can you make a video of how to not fear from the ball and dive forward? I think it would help to a lot of goalkeepers.

Funny how you clipped him on the volley... I had a striker all game obstructing me. I kept gesturing him to move... Then fed up I just punted it into him point blank on the 18 and referee gave him a yellow 🤣🤣

Very very very great video. I love your approach: the questions keepers ask-the possible answers you bring... For educational purpose, on tactic, it is maybe one of the best video I've ever Seen!😍...
You've brought master stuff and thank you for it! 👏... I enjoy discovering the 'creative' headshot-side-volley ( could be called the killing-side-volley or who-dares-stand-in-front-of-me-when-i-make-side-volley 😂). ... Next level would be showing all that in more realistic conditions (like in game...with more teammates and opponents)...
    Xxxxxxx congratulations for this...
And keep keeping... You're not only modern ...you're the best!💪👍

Hey Christophe! It’s always a pleasure to hear from you. Thank you so much for the very kind words. I think sometimes we maybe give away TOO much info 😂. We should keep some of this stuff just for the players we work with.

  • @ayske1

Assuming you play the long pass from the ground near the 18 yard is it really for distance? Say your winger is near the half field would you favour more the throw? I only throw as I'm more confident with my throws than long passes

I don't understand how you are able to keep your side volley so low (longer distance side volleys). Even though mine are accurate mine always see to go up too high.
