what will be the best decision when a free bouncing football, striker and defender is coming at you with shoulder to shoulder ... should i wait or rush ? ...i often get into this kinda of situation and couldn't make a decision in time...
An interesting question... According to me there's not only one answer... It depends on the situations...First unless the gk is not quite sure to get the ball (to be near enough from it when striker will hit it) he should not go out from of his box. Secondly, the same if striker and defender dual is really tough and if ball is on a side of the goal...except if ball goes fast and get enough away from both fieldplayers... Thirdly, the most danger, the most gk has to go in a 1 vs 1. It adds pressure on striker... Rushing is the right option if gk is sure to play the ball first, or if the ball gets away from both fieldplayers and gk knows he will get near enough when striker will hit the ball. Gk can also come to dual a bit more 'slowly', controlling the situation and adapting to it

What’s the smallest size you to the gloves in? Do you do kids size?
Hey Alistair! Size 7 currently but kids gloves (4-6) are on their way 😃
@@ModernDayGK that’s awesome. Also do you run any day (or multi-day) camps more down towards the south for younger kids? If so can I get on any info list? 😊
@@itsyourhealthuk we only have our winter camp organised at the minute. That will be from 28-30th December i Sunderland. I’m sure we’ll be back down that way next year though 😃
Hows pats career going?
He’s just entered senior football now in non-league to start his career. He had a bit of a setback during the summer with an injury but he’s flying now.
@@ModernDayGK hopefully he can get another shot at pro level in the near future, push him wherever possible
@@shabelijsg2615 thank you for your kind words! He has plenty of time and we’ll keep you guys posted 😃
