True historical fact: The USSR's heavy tank production before WW2 was dominated by two main factories: Kirov in Leningrad and Malyshev in Kharkiv. Kirov was the Soviet AFV pioneer, building the first mass-produced Soviet tank, the T-26 Model 1931. That same year, they built the first Soviet medium tank, the Tank Grotte, or TG-1. Both tanks had more than one turret (foreshadowing), with the T-26 featuring side-by-side turrets, and the TG-1 had a turret (with a 37 mm gun) on top of another turret (with 76.2 mm gun) beginning Kirov's obsession with turretpalooza. Kirov AFVs: T-26, TG-1, T-28, SMK/T-100, SU-14 SPH, S-51 SPH, Klementy Voroshilov (KV) series and Iosif Stalin (IS) series Heavy Tanks, and ISU series AGs.. Malyshev (then known as the Kharkov Locomotive Plant, and associated with the Morozov Desgn Bureau) developed its first tank, the T-24, before moving on to the BT series and the T-34. Malyshev AFVs: T-24, BT series, T-35, T-34 and derivatives, T-44, SU-122/SU-122P. Interwar and WW2 Russian light tanks were designed in Moscow and were produced in Kirov (Factory No.37) or at Nizhniy Novgorod (then known as Gorki) (GAZ/Ford).
