My Philosophy: I love music. I love all kinds of music. And I go into every album wanting to love it, so that’s my starting point for every review. Keep in mind, though, that music is a very personal thing. An album may hit me personally in a very different way than it hits you. That’s complexly natural and unavoidable, which is why I try to include some personal context in my reviews. It’s so you’ll have a better idea where I’m coming from. In the end, it’s still just my personal opinion, which is inherently biased, and which you may or may not agree with. Hopefully, once in a while, we’ll find common ground.

    Oh no!
I just saw this video pop up.
I met Andrew Fletcher & the band once.
It was the early 90's & they had a concert here in Frankfurt /Germany.
A friend of mine worked at a bar, where they all went.
I got a call on a Sunday morning & my friend told me to come to an after-hour party, at the hotel they were staying in.
I 1st didn't believe her, but she convinced me to get a cab & drive over there. I wasn't a fan but liked their early music.
I just got up & they had partied the whole night.
It was a weird situation for me, but it didn't take long & we were on the same level & we were all having a fantastic time. Andrew Fletcher was a really fun guy. We were laughing non-stop.
We literally rolled on the floor laughing. I laughed so much, my jaw hurt the next day
I don't know much about the lives of the guys, but I could tell that Andrew was a good guy. He was hilarious on top of it.
Dave Gahan had an H- problem at that time, he was very very skinny & totally out of it.
