[PK#04] Pathfinder Kingmaker (Last Azlanti Unfair*) - Old Sycamore wilderness and the Ancient Tomb

It is time to clear out the wilderness area of the Old Sycamore. The main reason why we are doing this is to get some extra experience that we would otherwise miss out on should we have come here only at a later point.
After that, we move on to the Ancient Tomb to try and figure out what Tartuccio has been up to!
A note on the Ancient Tomb: If you have played this before, you might have seen the Ancient Tomb play out differently. Tartuccio would be there along with some of your potential companions from which you can recruit one at that time. The reason why in this episode Tartuccio and the companions are not there is due to the fact that we went to the Thorn Ford bandit camp prior to coming here. If you want to get one of those companions at this time, make sure to take care of the Ancient Tomb before you venture on to other areas. If not, you will still be able to pick up those very same companions at a later point.

I do agree that the QoL features from WotR enhance the experience significantly. There's plenty of cRPGs that are better from a technical standpoint, but none convey the feeling of adventuring in a fantasy setting to me like Kingmaker. It's my comfort game and appreciate you taking on this challenge for our entertainment.

It's so strange to me that pathfinder has the thylacines in it. Its a very obscure carnivorous marsupial only found on the Tasmania, an island south of Australia. They went extinct around 75-100 years ago so the developers never would have seen one. Something like a hyena would serve the same purpose and it's a widely recognised animal. I've never been able to find the reason they are in Pathfinder.

Uh, that is a very interesting piece of information. I honestly just thought they were some kind of animal created for the game world and not an actual representation of a real animal. They also pretty much only show up in these very early sections of the game and then never again. Thanks for this!

They are in the game so that the player character would make them extinct again.

I always met Tartuccio in the old tomb area. How do you make it so that you don't? Also, interesting class choices for companions and MC alike. Apart from the MC, I never bothered with multiclassing, but then I also did not plan to play on Unfair eventually. I also did not know that you could play an Arcane Trickster and progress in Sorcerer-type spellcasting alongside. I thought the AT only had synergy with Wizard-type spellcasting. I played several sorcerers, they're my favorite class. To think what I missed :/

There are two main events that happen at the same time, and you're going to miss out on one of them. The first being Tartuccio searching for something in the tomb, the other being the Stag Lord's right hand talking to Kressle. If you go to the Thorn Ford first, Tartuccio will be done and set up an ambush for you.

Mr. Lich skull already answered the question regarding tartuccio, regarding AT, any arcane spellcasting class can do it, as long as they have sneak attack 2 and the other required skills. You have another reason to replay the game now :D

Yup, The Great Tartuk has a couple of stashed crates full of port bottles in the area at the exit of The Ancient Tomb. :) You probably missed them in the opposite corners of the map.

Dang! I dont know if it's true or not. But are the rolls bugged in turn based mode? cuz I read a lot of complaints about always rolling 3s 4s or 2s.

Hum, this is the first I'm hearing of this. It's quite rare that I play in turn base mode so I might not be the best person to answer this but I haven't felt that when I did.

You don't roll more low numbers in turnbased mode but you see it happened more as apposed to RTC in which you hardly see the dice rolls.@@PlaystationMan-e3p
