Wow dude you really captured the essence of screamsaver quite masterfully! Excellent tutorial as is and I wouldnt of even minded if you had gone into more detail. This is valuable! Instant sub.
Nice content. Me personally I would use a dedicated sub and have a low pass to cut 200-250 mids and highs. Then have a duplicated track of the sub and do a hi pass filter From 200-250 and up. Feel like it helps with the mud. Not trying to flaunt but iv been studying this genre for a while now. Either way you can do it your way. There isn’t t any rules.
sorry i dont understand what you're asking. to add a midi clip in ableton you select an area and press cmd+shift+m, and then you can draw midi notes inside the clip
hey man this is awesome. i would like to get into making something like this but i am at literally 0. never done anything like this. where do i get started and what do i need?
thanks dude! good for you for wanting to start! you should start by choosing a DAW (depending on your budget i would recommend FL studio or Ableton), download a few samples packs to have some drums, and download one or 2 vsts (instruments) - in this video I used Serum, but a really powerful one that is free is Vital (i'll make videos using vital soon). Then just start playing around and watch videos - you can get in contact with me via discord and i'll be happy to help further
@@DRIZK0 hey man, I think your discord invite link is expired. Right now I am playing around with vital and i really like it but it's hard to realize something that is on my mind. I just have to play around a lot more
@@qsmfoui ah thanks for letting me know! i'll update it. yea recreating something you have in mind is the hard part, but you should approach it differently, instead of recreating what you have in mind, just create a random sound that you like and go from there - when you get more experience you can definitely build a drop around it
@@ItsmePixL not yet! but i've been thinking about making one lately where i'll be giving all the project files that I present on youtube so it'll come soon! thanks so much for your support, that means a lot bro
mistake at 1:11 - meant to say D, not C. I'm just used to the C# harmonic minor which is why I said C by reflex
Finally someone who knows how to make good sound design videos. Great work
thanks for the feedback! glad you find it useful!
I'm usually not a fan of these types of videos, but your explanation of your patches and general production style is sick! you killed it bro
thanks man! glad you liked it!
The drop is quite solid and beefy but MANE THAT INTRO IS DOODOO.
haha you're not wrong, but tbh i made it 5 minutes before recording just to have something to throw in before the drop!
@@DRIZK0 lol
still important to the tutorial id say! bang on with the melody even tho it feels empty bbecause it was just for the sake of the video
Heavy drop!!! Crunchy Sub.. = Banger.🔥🔥🔥As always detailed description on both pre and post processing. Thank you for the tutorial
thanks man! appreciate the feedback and glad you like it!
ok this is actually the first informative dubstep tutorial I've ever seen. thank you so much for this.
thanks for the feedback and glad you liked it!

damn generally these how to X videos sound like very cheap replicas but you nailed it man
thanks man! glad you liked it!
Love this break down!! Could you make a percussion choice and post processing video of this??
sweet thanks for sharing
Спасибо!!
Using FL currently, but the explanations on serum really helped a lot including using the FX
yea I reproduced this one on my FL and you can definitely get a very similar result overall!
Thank you! This was such a great video

you're right, I usually always seperate the sub completely, not sure why I ended up doing it this way here, thanks for the feedback!
Can you explain how to do the midi notes and change them

as you shown so elegantly on your quarter not bass, its all about post processing and not the patch itself
